After years as a police officer and private investigator, Jane Fairweather is ready for a quiet life in Misty Vale, the charming village she stumbled upon during her travels. But her hopes for peace and relaxation vanish when the town’s Christmas decorations begin coming to life. With gingerbread men on the loose and nutcrackers standing guard, Jane teams up with Ned, the local policeman, to uncover the truth. Someone is leaving her cryptic clues, and the deeper she digs, the more she realizes she can’t trust her new friends. As summer heats up and festive lights twinkle, Jane must unravel the mystery before the holiday magic turns sinister. Because in Misty Vale, nothing is ever as it seems…

In 2024 she released four more books, now, in mid-2025, several new titles have been published. With every story, Sarah continues to weave together curiosity, wonder, and a touch of magic.
Another good read from Mrs.Lewin !! I know that when i read her books I can always enjoy them. It’s naturally written with some humor and it’s very well paced. This story is a Christmas one so it was really nice to dive into it ! This is a story that is read in one day so it’s really cool to decompress and read it with a cup of coffee or anything else! I hope a second book is on the way !
I’ve recently discovered Sarah and every book I’ve read of hers, I’ve really enjoyed! Jane Fairweather is a previous policewoman who is working on settling down and living the quiet life. That doesn’t happen though as she’s pulled into a mystery in her new life. I very much enjoyed following along her journey and seeing how her story progresses and I already can’t wait for the next book!
I really liked this book, but there were a lot of errors (spelling, grammar, wrong words). I understand occasional errors, but I found the flow of the book was impacted by the errors. I really hope that there are more books written in this series, as despite the errors, I enjoyed the story. Would have received a higher star rating if the errors weren't so abundant.
Another excellent book by Lewin! Jane/Clara is a great character, and I enjoyed the plot. Jane's journey to figure out who she is was fun to read, and I need more of this story!
