Breathing in Reverse

Rate this book
Listening Length: 8 hours and 16 minutes

A chance encounter with a celebrity, an impromptu video, and a shiny new espresso machine all added up to a juicy tale for Rachael Allen to share with friends. But when her best friend posts the video online without her knowledge, Rachael begins receiving bizarre threats from an obsessed fan.

Mick Sullivan, the star in her video, offers to help. Despite his fame and reputation as a player, he tries to stay down to earth. However, Mick has secrets. And there's one he's hidden even from himself.

Despite wildly divergent life paths, Rachael and Mick's shared Southern upbringing and passion for good music create a common thread that draws them together. As their relationship deepens and the threats increase, Rachael is forced to decide if being with Mick Sullivan is worth the collateral damage.

Breathing in Reverse is the story of Rachael's serendipitous encounter with a celebrity, her brush with obsessive love, and the bittersweet gift left behind by the very person fixated on destroying her life.

Densie Webb (not Denise) has spent a long career as a freelance nonfiction writer and editor, specializing in health and nutrition, and has published several books on the topic. She grew up in Louisiana, spent 13 years in New York City, and settled in Austin, TX, where it’s summer nine months out of the year. She is an avid walker (not of the dead variety, though she adores zombies, vampires, and apocalyptic stories), drinks too much coffee, and has a small “devil dog” that keeps her on her toes. She has two grown "babies," one of which lives overseas, giving her the perfect excuse to travel.

This was really enjoyable. The unexpected happens when a fan has a chance encounter with a hot movie star that leads to a surprise gift from said movie star and a short video, birthed from a brief fangirl moment. Lo and behold, that one short video would lead to a stalker targetting not only the movie star but the innocent fan.

This was an intriguing read and really well written. I enjoyed this a lot!

Another new author for me that I came across on my daily wanderings. And she's one I'll definitely be watching for in the future.

It starts out as an accidental meeting. Rachael Allen finds herself staring at Mick Sullivan across the aisle at a gourmet coffee shop. She can't help it .. he's a well known actor and if not pretty-handsome, he's definitely easy on the eyes. And she's almost speechless when he starts up a conversation with her. The meeting only lasts a few minutes and when she asks if she can take a picture, he does her one better and makes an audio/video of the two of them.

Who knew such an innocent act could cause so many problems? Rachael's BFF takes the video and puts in online. And that is where the trouble starts.

Rachael finds herself with a stalker. And she should be very, very afraid. The stalker breaks into her family home and kills her dog. There are packages with dead rats, messages calling her filthy names and telling her that Mick is hers.

It escalates to the point that Rachael has no choice but to notify police, and Mick Sullivan's people to let them know. Maybe they can help... maybe not.

With Mick's persuasion, she moves into his home which is built like a fortress. And as Rachel and Mick drift into a relationship, the stalker becomes more unhinged by the moment.

The stalker is truly insane, the threats get more vicious, and their lives become more in danger with every passing day.

The tension grows with every page the reader turns. You know something is coming, but what and how bad will it be? The characters are mostly believable ... he's a good man with some bad things in his past. She's a good woman almost afraid to believe that this man can love her. The stalker is right on target ..at least what I would expect a stalker to be.

Everything comes to a head with an explosion of fireworks. Very enjoyable read for me.

My thanks to the author who furnished a digital copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion.

Books about stalking, I'm in. Books about celebrity stalking, in all in! I've always found this topic to be so intriguing and my god this is such a great example of getting into the head of the stalker. To hear the stalker talking to their therapist about their inner most thoughts? Twisted! I thought this book was so well written and so creepy on so many different levels. I'm excited to see what Densie Webb does next.

This blurb instantly grabbed my attention when the author contacted me about a possible review. Chance encounters, ties to Hollywood and fame, and an obsessed fan? Yes please! While it’s labeled as a romantic suspense, and Rachel and Mick’s relationship is a key part of the story, I think that fans of thrillers in general would like this one as well.

Rachel is an average twenty four year old struggling after college to find her place in the world. She has ambitions of working in the music industry and living in New York, but for now she’s stuck living back at home with her parents in New Jersey. When she has a random encounter with celebrity Mick Sullivan neither of them realizes the impact one chance meeting will have on their entire lives.

As soon as Rachel’s best friend, Jenna posts a video of Rachel and Mick’s brief meeting online, it goes viral. Things are harmless enough, until one obsessed fan begins to take things too far. Rachel begins receiving frightening messages and letters from this unknown woman, and before long she ups the ante and sends terrifying “gifts” to her. People stalking celebrities has always fascinated and appalled me, I’ve often wondered what drives their obsession? This book takes a look at what makes a person behave in such an awful and scary manner and provides a look at the impact of stalking on both the stalker and the stalkee.

I don’t want to talk too much about what exactly the stalker does, but suffice it to say it was downright petrifying and disturbing. Getting a glimpse into the mind of a deranged and delusional person never fails to interest me and Webb did a great job of showcasing how a person so far removed from reality thinks and feels. Rachel was a really relatable character as she’s just a regular girl who happened to get entangled with a huge celebrity. The implications this has on her life are at once exciting and full of complications. Mick was charming and fun, a total bad boy. But there is much more to him than meets the eye and he’s hiding things from the world that are sad and devastating. Both are imperfect and damaged, but I really enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve throughout the book.

This was a fun and engaging read that had enough plot twists and turns to capture my attention. The pacing was good and everything flowed together nicely. The last chapter jumps ahead twenty years which delighted me, I’m a big fan of closure in my books. And the final twist in the end was unexpected and valued.

A famous celebrity, the target of fans, paparazzi, and even over-zealous stalkers, which is probably the least glamorous thing about fame, puts one couple in the crosshairs of the world. You’ll Be Thinking of Me by Densie Webb is an eery love story/mystery/thriller that is completely riveting and will give you chills as you become entangled in a web of haunting, stalking and the power of true love being battered for all to see.

Ever helped another customer while shopping? Rachel did and found herself looking into the eyes of one of Hollywood’s hottest commodities. It seems that Mick is tiring of the glamor, the life in the fast lane and the lack of control he has over his life. Alcohol is his way of dampening the nightmare his life can be. Sex is meaningless and there is just something about Rachel’s fresh outlook on life and the way they have connected that gives Mick the strength to feel alive again. Will the paparazzi leave them alone? Will one post by a star-struck friend of Rachel’s turn into an overnight net sensation that triggers a stalker to put their lives in danger?

Densie Webb can write! From start to finish, using the POVs of Rachel, Mick and the unknown stalker, this tale becomes a chaotic game of cat and mouse that never lets up! Two likable and charming main characters and one off-kilter stalker, the journey into their hearts and minds will have you on the edge of your seat, kind of like waiting for the final straw that breaks the camel’s back. Ms. Webb has created tension that will vibrate through your body while still giving romance readers a warm tale with rough and raw edges. Brilliant writing with heartache, terror and an ending that I sure didn’t see coming!

Thank you to Red Adept Publishing and Densie Webb for this ARC!

This is a romantic suspense that has a super intense stalk3r in it. When I tell you I was SWEATING while reading this book…. The suspense had me d3ad. I didn’t know what to expect coming into this, but I was immediately pulled into Rachael and Mick’s story. I honestly didn’t like Rachael a whole bunch. She was pretty dumb and pushed Mick away for a really stupid reason, but overall, I enjoyed their love story despite so much against them. The last few chapters had me screaming, crying, and almost throwing my kindle across the room. And then the epilogue. OH MY LORD. I really enjoyed this book. If you like romantic suspense, you’ll love Brething in Reverse!

BREATHING IN REVERSE by Densie Webb is a gripping romantic suspense novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Rachael Allen is a young woman living a relatively low-key life, trying to break into the music industry. She has an unexpected encounter with celebrity actor, Mick Sullivan, in the aisles of Zabars, where Mick is cluelessly trying to buy an espresso machine. She asks if she can take a selfie of them to share with her best friend, Jenna, a Mick super-fan. He turns it into a cute video, but when Jenna posts the video online, Rachael begins receiving bizarre threats from an obsessed fan of Mick’s. Feeling responsible for Rachael’s life being upended by his stalker, he offers for her to stay in the apartment upstairs from his until the threat blows over. But if anything, the threats intensify, as do the feelings developing between Rachael and Mick. Soon, Rachael will be faced with a heart-wrenching decision. Is being with Mick worth the danger she could face? And when a shocking secret from Mick’s past is revealed, can she live with the consequences? The tension mounts as the story unfolds with plenty of unexpected twists. I enjoyed this fast-paced story with its unique take on celebrity stalking and I highly recommend it.

I would give this 3 1/2 stars.

This was an interesting story of how a woman meets a celebrity, they get involved, she is targeted by his stalker and how that ends. I thought the story was a good one and there is some back and forth with the chapters whether it is Brenda or Rachael.

I was a little disappointed with the ending. Sure you saw part of it coming, but I was hoping for something else. It does wrap up the story nice especially since it is 20 years into the future. It is hard to not reveal too much because I do not want to give it away.

I did think there were too many F-bombs in the book. maybe at times it might have been justified but I think there could have been fewer and nothing would have been lost.

overall a good book

A történet teljesen meglepett. Szimpla romantikusra számítottam, nem pedig kis horroros beütésre, de szerencsére nem az "elolvasod, aztán nem mersz kimenni a sötét fürdőszobába" mélységű.

Well, I may have had Covid and it took me three weeks to read my first book of the month but ᵞ'ᴬᴸᴸ… this one grabbed me by the Swiftie braid and said, “N͟͟O͟͟ M͟͟A͟͟'A͟͟M͟͟! You’re gonna finish this one ᵀᵁᴴᴴᴴᴴᴰᴬᵞ!” And that I did!

It’s such a coincidence that the two books I finished this week had characters from Louisiana, but that always draws me into a book. Rachael Allen and Mick Sullivan both come from Louisiana but both moved away in their adolescence. Her family moved to Jersey, his to California. Then serendipity brought them together in the grocery store aisle. Mick is the hottest young actor around. Rachael is trying to get her foot in the door in the music industry. A selfie-turned-video ends up online thanks to her bestie, and weird things start happening with an über fan. Their lives couldn’t be more further apart, but their laidback Louisiana backgrounds and a love of music pull them together. As the threatening incidents increase Rachael has to figure out if being with Mick is worth the stresses of his celeb life.

I inhaled this book. For anyone who dreams that they’re going to run into Ryan Reynolds and run away together (if, you know, Blake didn’t exist) this is a cautionary tale of what could happen. It also has one of the best epilogues ever.

This was a great book! Rachael meets movie star Mick Sullivan in a store near espresso machines and he ends up taking her phone and filming a quick video of them for her friend. The video ends up being posted and that's when it gets scary real quick. I don't want to give anything away but it was so good. I liked the relationship with Rachael and Mick and how he was so intent on helping this girl he didn't even know. Who was threatening her and how was this connection with Mick he didn't remember? Several big surprises in the book! I really enjoyed the final chapter too, I really hate when a book leaves you guessing what the heck happens, no guessing here. A really good book!

Breathing in Reverse is a rollercoaster love story. Rachel is an average woman living her low-key life when a chance encounter with mega celebrity, Mick Sullivan, shifts her foundations to the core. They meet in front of an espresso machine display and on a whim, Rachel asks for a selfie. The selfie isn’t for herself, it is for her friend Jenna, because Rachel is not impressed with celebrity status. Mick obliges, even taking it a step further, by creating a little video. When Rachel shares the video with Jenna and Jenna shares it with the world, the wheels begin to come off.
Rachel is confronted by the terrifying reality that the video drew the attention of a deranged woman who has been stalking Mick and Rachel becomes the target of the stalker’s obsession. Mick and Rachel form the slow bonds of friendship which blossom into deeper feelings as they are buffeted by the storm of external forces and internal insecurities. Fear is a dominating motivator through the novel, Rachel is fearful of the stalker, fearful of her parents’ reactions, fearful of not fulfilling her dreams. Mick has his own fears, he is fearful that his dark secret will be revealed and he will lose everything, he is fearful that Rachel will not love him enough to work through their issues. Mick has an interesting combination of self-doubt and confidence. He has a troubled past, and present issues, that Rachel helps him to work through.
Several characters behaved in ways that I chalked up to living the celebrity life and having lost touch with reality. The dual villains in the novel are equally reprehensible. The stalker and the friend who is no friend were self-serving, horrible people. Every time Mick and Rachel seem to be finding a groove, another threat arises and interferes. The onslaught of treachery challenges their commitment and they have to find the strength to weather the storm.
It is Rachel’s growth arc that we travel, as she learns to stand as an adult. When she stood up to protect herself and those that she loves at the end of the book I cheered. The novel fits well within the new romance, domestic thriller, and suspense genres and made for an entertaining read. The narrator was by Aven Shore.

Review:

Rachael Allen is your typical 24 year old young woman who is still struggling to get on her feet for good. She's just experienced a rough patch in her career and has ended up back at her parents house while trying to find a new job. While out shopping one day she runs into a celebrity named Mick Sullivan and asks a simple question, one that anyone would ask, can I take a picture with you. Mick sweetens the deal by taking a video instead of a picture and things go viral after her friend Jenna posts it online. The minuet things go viral the crazy starts and continues throughout the rest of the story. How much can she handle and how much is Rachael willing to take.

The way that I came across this book is pretty cool, and I just wanted to thank Google for the part that it played. I received an email a few days ago from the author, Densie Webb, asking if I had read and reviewed her book because Google pulled up a link to my review policy page when a search was made for "You'll Be Thinking of Me". I did a search myself and sure enough there it was on my computer screen. The author, Densie Webb, was nice enough to gift me with a copy of "You'll Be Thinking of Me". I can't help but think that I might not have come across this wonderful book had the mistaken Google search link not been there but I'm glad that it was because "You'll Be Thinking of Me" was an exceptional read.

I really enjoyed the way that Densie uses a dual POV and gets in the mind of a stalker. At first it had me a little confused but it didn't take long for me to figure it all out. You get the chance to see Rachael and the stalker's story and the things that are running through each of there minds.

Rachael Allen is a strong and independent character that has a good head on her shoulders. After experiencing a few hardships and loosing her job as a talent scout when the record company she worked for goes bankrupt she is constantly looking for a job and taking interviews. Even after she meets Mick she tries to keep her head clear and focus on what is important.

Mick Sullivan is a celebrity that has ''played'' the field quiet a bit since he hit the big times. Sex has become just another mundane thing for him and relationships mean absolutely nothing but Mick seems to be getting tired of the fast life. After he finds out what has been happening to Rachael because of the video he offers to help her any way possible.

I really liked the way that Mick and Rachael's relationship blossoms. It didn't feel rushed and wasn't an insta-romance. Together, they try to deal with the whole stalker issue the best that they can, and with that and their musical and southern backgrounds they go from friends into a relationship that has it's good times and it's rocky times. But after everything they go through together they wind up stronger than ever.

Brenda at first comes off as being just another normal girl that has overbearing family members but as the story progresses it become plainly clear that she has gone off the deep end and all her family is trying to do is get her the help that she so desperately needs.

Webb will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. "You'll Be Thinking of Me" is a thrilling ride from start to finish that will have you double checking to make sure that your windows and doors are all locked. I highly recommend giving "You'll Be Thinking of Me" a try especially if you enjoy a thrilling mystery.

The best way I can think of to describe this story is chilling and absolutely riveting. It's an emotionally charged suspense thriller that will keep you turning page after page. Densie Webb builds a dangerous web of secrets, lies and stardom. The fear and anticipation will have you jumping at shadows and checking your doors and windows to make sure things are locked up tight. I made the mistake of reading this late at night.Probably not the brightest idea, I'm just saying.

Rachel is a young professional looking to make a big break in the music industry discovering new talent. After a chance encounter with actor Michael Sullivan leaves her starstruck, her life seems to spiral out of control. The evidence of that encounter receives some unexpected threats on social media, leaving Rachel worried and afraid. From there Webb masterfully constructs a complex matrix of terrifying threats and unexplained connections. The manner in which she intricately weaves together the separate stories of so many characters is amazing, and when the plot reaches its nexus, everything is clear. It all comes full circle during that horrifying, gut-wrenching conclusion.

The romance that develops between Rachel and Mick is the stuff that dreams are made of. It's almost right out of a movie script or perfectly penned song lyrics. How's that for appropriate? I will say I was a bit frustrated by the roller coaster of emotions they experience, however it's understandable given the intense circumstances surrounding their acquaintance. I enjoyed watching the romance blossom between Rachel and Mick, and I think Webb does an excellent job of not making it too easy for them, even if I was just hoping they would grab on for dear life and never let go. I can't help it, it's the romantic in me.

Aside from a fantastic, entertaining story, for me there's one very important issue at the center of You'll Be Thinking of Me - mental illness. It's clear from the beginning there's something about Brenda that's different from the others. Her family is aware, and they're trying desperately to get her the help she needs. Webb paints a picture that vividly depicts how a person's past can affect his/her future and even the best of intentions are sometimes not enough. Although Brenda's therapist eventually breaks down Brenda's barriers to discover what's at the heart of her mental instability, I don't know that she or anyone else could anticipate what was already happening. We see this more and more in society today - good people who have suffered traumatically act out in ways their loved ones can't fathom. I hope this story and others like it will continue to raise awareness so we can be sure to act early to get help to those in need.

Do you believe that one video could change someone's life?

Rachel is ordinary girl in twenty and something, she is jobless and forced to live with her parents. Back in her room from her childhood where are all her memories , good and bad, she lived her life without excitement. One day Rachel meet Mick Sullivan, he is celebrity actor and musician. She help him with shopping and in return he gifted her coffee machine and record one video with him and Rachel as proof that she really meet him. Excited Rachel shows that video to her best friend Janna. Jenna and Rachel was friends since their childhood. Jenna post that video on Internet. For few days Rachel will read some unpleasant comments from some girl obsessed with Mick Sullivan. Then Rachel starts to find some handwritten messages in her mailbox. Those messages containing threats really scares Rachel, but her life became nightmare when she founded her cat dead.

When I got this book I thought that it is average book, but I was wrong. This is not avarage book, how I turn the pages I was liked more and more. Now I know that I was really wrong.
The plot is interesting, the author shows two stories, maybe three, one is Rachel's story, the other one is to some girl(I know who she is, but I couldn't tell you) and third is about Mick Sullivan. Two very different lives will crossed in one point, actually in one third life. One innocent girl, one very bad, psiho girl and one celebrity guy will became part of one suspense and intriguing story- this story written by Denise Webb.

Rachel is girl as like and respect in real life. Maybe in the beginning Rachel was not strong woman character as I used to read, but till the end she was become very brave and strong young woman.
Mick Sullivan is actor and musician. He is typical celebrity guy, alcohol and girls are his deadly sins. But he was that kind of guy in his past, now he is more then that he is human and he has feeling as others, he is careful and hard working man. His past will became his nightmare and he had no other choice but to deal with it everyday.
The girl that will bring together Rachel and Mick is very well described character, sick and dangerous she is ticking bomb. It was interesting her sessions with her psychotherapist.

This book was provide by publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Review first posted on my blog: http://spoonfulofhappyendings.blogspo...

Twenty-four-year-old Rachael Allen is pleasantly surprised when she bumps into famous actor Mick Sullivan in a gourmet coffee shop one day. They start talking and Rachael can't help but ask for a picture, which eventually leads to Mick taking a video of the two of them. Rachael is really excited, and so is her best friend Jenna, who decides to put the video on the Internet, just for fun. But what starts out as simple fun, quickly turns into something a lot more serious when Rachael is suddenly stuck with her very own stalker. That tiny video turns out to have a lot of impact on Rachael's future, and as threatening letters and e-mails start to arrive, Rachael has no idea what she has gotten herself into by starting a conversation with Mick Sullivan that one day...

It has been a while since I've read a novel as suspenseful as this one! Densie Webb has really managed to create a convincing story filled with tension, and a story that had me at the edge of my seat until the last few chapters. While the plot line (celebrity crush/stalker) is one that has been done many times before, the author really managed to turn it into her own. I particularly liked Densie Webb's writing style. It was incredibly easy to fall into and to keep on reading for longer periods of time, while at the same time detailed enough and quite gripping. The fact that this is her debut novel is quite impressive and I already can't wait to read more of Densie's work.

I would describe the book as a combination of genres; a large part thriller, but there's also a clear romance element between the main characters, Rachael and Mick. I liked Rachael from the start and I loved seeing the relationship between her and Mick develop slowly, all because of what is happening to the two of them. The story is told from several different points of view, which really provided the reader with the opportunity to get into the head of the characters. If I have to give one point of critique, I'd have to go with the cover. I personally really don't like it and think a more attractive cover would only benefit the great writing that is hidden inside. Overall, though, 'You'll Be Thinking of Me' is an enthralling, chilling and well-written book about celebrity crushes, love, and obsession; a thriller/romance novel that is definitely worth picking up!

I keep buying this author's books but I'm not quite sure why. They're not the best-written or the most interesting, but somehow they keep me entertained.

Densie Webb has a formula, and from what I've seen, she never deviates. It goes like this:
1. She hooks her audience with an amazing plot premise.
2. She ignores the actual plot and instead fills her books with unnecessary melodrama.
3. She busts out the big guns for the last chapter or two and gives you the happy ending you want.

And I keep falling for it.

"You'll Be Thinking About Me" is supposed to be about a crazy stalker. It's really not. It's about a Plain Jane Nobody who magically catches the eye of a hottie A-list actor and their love life. I don't read straight romance novels (in any sense of the word) so I don't know if this is how it typically goes, but she always paints the heroine as a very unflattering character in bed. So those scenes can be rather cringey. On the whole I still enjoy her romantic plots, but this one was so full of drama I almost quit the book at one point. (One celebrity chasing her tail wasn't enough, so then the main character gets two?)

So what's this about a stalker? Well, the stalker does all her stalking early on in the book. She crams every nasty trick of the trade into one chapter, outlandishly. It's way too much, too soon. Then the stalker really doesn't do anything significant until the very end of the book, when she hits the main characters with a second barrage of crazy. That's just kind of what the author tends to do, I've realized: she comes up with an interesting plot, but she only has enough material for a couple chapters' worth of it, and the rest of the book is romance filler. If you like romance novels, I guess you'd enjoy that. Personally, I'd like the focus to be on the plot.

But, as someone who is not a romance genre fan, I can say that I always like this author's leading men. And that last chapter, the one where all the actual plot action occurs, always makes my pulse race to the finish line.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. The description of the book captured by interest and by chapter three, I was hooked and did not want to put it down. I wish there was a 4.5 star option.

This is not your typical boy meets girl.

It's more of girl swoons over movie star in a store, helps him with his purchase, asks for a picture, gets a video instead. Swoons some more, tells a friend, who in turns posts the video, forgets to bleep out her name, and causes her to gain a stalker. Stalker puts the "c" in crazy. Girl reaches out to movie stars' "people" and stumbles into star again. Swoons some more and befriends movie star. Friendship evolves, stalking escalates, parents are parents, dreams and nightmares come true. A twist here and a turn there, then bam! I want more.

Overall, I thought the book was great. There were a few parts that made me want to roll my eyes at Rachael, but I suppose her age contributed to her annoyance at times. I thought the stalker was straight up b*s*crazy and believable, even when the things she did seemed unbelievable. I had to remind myself that some stalkers are just that crazy. I would have like a little more from Mick's perspective -- what was going on in his head.

I am looking forward to seeing more from this author.

You'll Be Thinking of Me is a compulsively readable story about celebrity crushes, chance encounters, and delusional obsession leading to a conclusion that is as heartbreaking as it is inevitable.

Rachael Allen's luck is about to change. Sure, she's out of work and living back at home with her parents, but she's about to run into one of her celebrity crushes, Mick Sullivan. Much to her credit, Rachael manages to keep her act together during the interaction, asking only for a photo with Mick before the pair part ways. When her friend, Jenna (great name! *wink*) posts the video an obliging Mick took of himself with Rachael online, well, Rachael's luck will change again. One particular set of comments triggers a chain reaction that will change the course of Rachael and Mick's lives forever.

You'll Be Thinking of Me is the debut novel from author Densie Webb. She spins a suspenseful tale. More than once, I found myself so caught up in the story that I stayed up far too late reading "just one more chapter." The characters are created with warm and rich detail and the point-of-view shift between characters reveals just enough of what's to come to keep you hooked. This book has a little of everything - suspense, romance, drama. I'm very eager to read more from Densie Webb; if this is any indication, she'll be a household name quite soon!

Thank you to @DensieWebbBooks @RedAdeptPublishing and @katerockbooktours for this wonderful book. I really enjoyed it- so much that I finished it in a few hours! Rachael is the main character and she has a chance encounter with Mick Sullivan, a well known celebrity. He offers to make a few second video clip so she can show her friend Jenna who is obsessed with him. Jenna decides to post the video online which elicits all kinds of mean responses but one very disturbing response from someone claiming that she is Mick’s woman and father of her unborn child and that Rachael needs to stay away. Rachael begins getting threatening messages some even on the walls of her bedroom. The police were very unhelpful which was scary. She reaches out to Mick’s publicist and agency to see if they can help at all and runs into Mick again. He offers to put she and her parents up in a hotel or even stay at the apartment above his. She takes him up on his offer and they get closer. But the stalker continues and it keeps getting worse.

This book had a perfect amount of thriller/suspense and romance. It touches on alcoholism, fame, stalkers, family, second chances, etc. I was drawn in from the start and couldn’t put it down! I felt constantly paranoid for Rachael and everyone became a suspect to me. This book is available now and I highly recommend it!

A dream come true...and the stuff of nightmares. What a mesmerizing debut!

I read "You'll Be Thinking of Me" over a whirlwind weekend, and I've been thinking about it ever since!

Imagine a chance meeting with a Hollywood hot "it" guy that leads to access of his inner sanctum, his home and his heart. Now imagine that same chance meeting...leading to the unwanted attention of a mentally unbalanced stalker.

This is a dream come true, and the stuff of nightmares, for Rachael Allen. And this is her life after meeting actor/musician Mick Sullivan one random afternoon at Zabar's. What would be the highlight for many a fan - video proof of meeting a charming, sexy celeb - turns into a surreal and scary roller coaster ride after the video gets leaked onto the internet.

The bond Mick and Rachael share as they attempt to diffuse the situation hooked me from the get-go, and I loved to watch the slow, strong build-up. The author seamlessly wove just enough twists and turns into the plot to keep me wondering if the worst was yet to come...while Mick and Rachael's sizzling chemistry had me rooting and hoping for the best.

I was ensnared by Webb's storytelling - looking forward to more books by her.

If you are a fan of a mind fuck, this book is for you! I was not expecting to have my mind blown to the point my jaw was on the floor from all the twists and turn, but that was what I got—and I LOVE IT!

When a chance encounter with your celebrity crush turns into more, you would expect some life changes. Maybe the paparazzi following you, fans talking about you, or maybe your name in the tabloids. But when a stalker sets eyes on Mick Sullivan and Rachael Allen, the whole world changes…

As I said before, this is a mind fuck you do not want to miss! I thought I had things figured out for a while, and I was so proud of myself. That didn’t last nearly as long as I would have liked, but Densie Webb had much bigger and better plans for the story than I could have imagined.

The characters, while in a world I will never be a part of or understand, were relatable and real. They were not perfect, but were perfectly flawed and I could not have imagined a better pair to deal with this ride. ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

An engaging mystery suspense romance, this novel held my attention from beginning to end. Despite my head hitting the pillow attitude and overloaded mind and psyche, I even stayed up late one night reading. She is seeking a new position in the music promotion industry in New York City after her employment at a recording company that was in the process of collapsing has ended. While on a search for an espresso machine in Brooklyn, she runs into a famous actor who she immediately recognizes. Having goodwill and an open heart, he shoots a video clip of her, allowing her to share it with her best friend as a gesture of goodwill. In the days that follow the leak of the video, Rachel is the target of a stalker whose obsession is Mick and the video that led her to become the target of the stalker. In my opinion, it is quite a thriller and I do not want to ruin it for you by giving away any spoilers, but dear god, hold on for the ride of your life. This is one of those books you should not miss out on reading!

“You’ll Be Thinking of Me” and I will
This book was a great combination of romance and suspense. On the one hand, there was an interesting relationship with a troubled celebrity, and on the other, encounters with a creepy stalker person.
The heroine was easy to relate to, and that made the stalker all the more frightening because the reader’s sympathy for the heroine made the mysterious unsavory presence in the background feel all the more personal.
The author’s language was strikingly vivid. A few examples that struck me: “It was different enough from others on the street that no one would call it cookie-cutter, but similar enough that it was clear they belonged together—links of a chain not meant to be broken.”
“But she had her memories and she nurtured them, doted on them, and exaggerated their accomplishments, just like they were children.”
“I dragged myself back up and caught another glimpse of my reflection. Night of the Living Dead came to mind.”
I recommend this book.

Thank you @densiewebbbooks and @katerockbooktours for my copy!

This was a page turner mystery suspense romance that had me hooked. I even stayed up late one night reading, and for those of you who know, I’m a head hits the pillow/gone girl. So, that tells you something!

Rachel Allen is struggling to find a new job in the music promo business in NYC after the collapse of the recording company she was working for. She runs into a famous actor, Mick Sullivan one day in Brooklyn while shopping for an espresso machine. He obligingly snaps a video clip for her to show her best friend. The video leaks and soon Rachel becomes the target of a stalker who’s obsessed with Mick. The story develops and I don’t want to give any spoilers but oh my lord - hang on. You need to read this one!

This time last week, I sat down with my ereader, ready to shut off from the world. My week ahead was going to be frantic, so I was hopeful that You'll be Thinking of me was just what the doctor ordered. And it was.

There, waiting for me from the very first page, was an intoxicating story that I couldn't put down. However, between sleep, the 'paid job' and not wanting it to end, I savoured every page of this book, sometimes taking a moment to re-read a paragraph, simply because it is so beautifully written.

Webb's writing is intricate and detailed, beautifully executed within a page-turning story. Relatable passages layered with offerings of witty comparisons, kept me wanting more, all the way to the very end.

This book was a quick, enjoyable read. The romance and suspense kept me entertained.

Rachael Allen meets the famous actor Mick Sullivan by chance and makes a video with him to send to her best friend.  When her best friend posts the video online, Rachel starts to receive threats from one of Mick's obsessed fans.  Mick feels terrible and tries to help Rachael out. As the threats get more intense, Rachael & Mick's relationship does too.  Mick has some secrets that he's been keeping.  Rachael starts to wonder if he's worth putting her life in danger.

There were definitely a few times I was caught off guard and wasn't expecting what happened to happen.  The romance between Rachael and Mick was endearing even though it was rocky.  I was definitely cheering for them to make it.  Overall, this was a good read, and I would recommend it.
