This book is masterpiece! McDonough's prose is sublime, while at the same time literarily acessible. If you're familiar with Revelation, this book will be a joy--even if you aren't familiar with the thinkers he interacts with (I was unfamiliar with most of them). This is not a book for beginners...but it absolutely rewards the serious student of Scripture and Literature/Philosophy with numerous gems!
