What a fantastically one of a kind read. I devoured it in a single sitting.
This novel is obviously part of a series, referring to previous events and characters, but can easily be read as a standalone. Crandall develops everything so fully, but without slowing down the storyline, that you can’t help but get caught up in the whirlwind of activity. I love how multifaceted this story is. Not only do you get the main storyline, but you get to know what all the characters are doing outside of this as well, and how it all interconnects. Crandall carefully builds the were-lynxes so that readers ton only understand them but can also visualise them. This complexity & clarity adds an extra layer to the story, making it even more unforgettable. The author’s descriptions also make everything vividly real in your mind’s eye.
The characters in this novel were off the charts. I love how each of them were just a little quirky, but in their own way. The uniqueness and understanding that they all possessed made me really want to get to know them. The main couple in this novel were absolutely priceless. Each had a secret that they were keeping from the other for safety’s sake. Their trust and understanding in each other was very heartening. And the individuals that they were on their own were the type of people that I could see myself becoming friends with. Surrounded by this fantastic supporting cast Crandall has created the perfect individuals to carry her story forward.
Crandall brings characters and readers together in this world full of romance, suspense, and a healthy dash of the unknown. It was a fantastic read, and although it was my first novel by this author I can guarantee you it won’t be my last.

Love this author(this is an ARC). I like the details that are used to weave the story around the main charaters.not to mention the hot,steamy love scences.I would have loved more interaction with the were-lynxs I think some will make great stories.check it out if you love paranormal romance with steamy love scence!

>I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. The book ends in an HEA.
>Michelle is a young woman and also a rape survivor. She runs a non profit company that helps sterilize stray cats and sets other cats up for adoption. Her love interest is Casey, who is a were-lynx and leader of his pack, unbeknownst to Michelle. The story revolves around Michelle and Casey trying to figure out why cats are disappearing, why Michelle is being turned out of her home and what the resident bad guy is testing in his research lab.
>When Casey goes against several lifetimes of protocol in order to reveal the existence of the were-lynx to humans, said humans were all like, "Cool, you're so pretty in your cat form". Very unrealistic and strange reactions, I felt. The plot was a good one, gripping in its cruelness, but the action wasn't believable. Casey and his buddy was able to break into the compound with no problems. Casey was able to get a job with the bad guy and this smart bad guy totally believes that Casey is now a bad guy too. Really?
>The romance between Casey and Michelle is cute and one of the things that works in this book. Spending more time with the were pack would've been fun as they all had such unique personalities. I think there may be another book to come as some issues were unresolved, especially involving Kennedy.

The name of the book is "SECRETS" and it is written by LYNN CRANDALL. Mousiey rec'd this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. And this is my honest opinion of her book. Ms Crandall has a unique and creative style of writing.The way she brings her characters to life with magic and emotion is truly genius.The scenes in the book are meaty and well described. Secrets has were-cats in it, humans, both good and bad, along with regular little kitty cats.
Now you know mice and cats don't get along - but this little mouse is going to give you a nibble of "SECRETS". So here yours ....
Our story opens at an apartment complex with Michelle trying to capture a stray cat she has named Madeline.See, Michelle runs Cats Alive- she captures stray cats takes them to a vet -gets them medical attention. Spayed or neutered which ever they need and helps cats find forever homes. Michelle also has another job, she works as a sec for a detective agency. This morning she is finishing up moving into her house that she just purchased. Before leaving for work she takes Madeline to the vet Lori , before she can under go surgery she has to have blood work and make sure she is healthy. When she gets to work, she learns some bad news about the house that she has just purchased. Michelle rec'd a letter stating there is a problem with the purchase of her house. This is a well written book with strong,well developed characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a great job developing the story and building Michelle and Casey's relationship. Her scenes are painted in vivid detail and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed reading their story and am looking forward to more.

This is book one in the fierce hearts series. The characters are enjoyable and the storyline has lots of mystery secrets drama and suspense.

Michelle has slowly started to put her life back together after a being violated and watching the man who did it to her go free. She runs a successful cat rescue and works for two great women in a PI Firm. With the purchase of her old familial home she is finally starting to find peace. Michelle is also not just your ordinary woman she is an empathy as well as a seer at times this makes her unique and also more vulnerable. Casey has wanted Michelle for a long time. However he knows that something haunts her past and he has his own secrets as well. When the loss oof her home threatens Michelle Casey as well as others step in to help her. When they find that the man behind everything is William Carter the stakes are higher than anyone could have imagined. Casey being a were-lynx uses his special talents to help in any way he can. When Michelle finally tells him what happened to her all those years ago he is livid and more determined than ever to not only take Carter and hi cronies down but have Michelle in his life as well. How will Michelle react when she learns the truth about Casey? Will Casey be able to use his gifts to gain the advantage and stop Carter before it is too late? This is a wonderful read for anyone who love a little action and adventure mixed with their romance!

I have received this book in exchange of an honest review.
This is the first book by Lynn Crandall I have read and I really enjoyed it. Secrets is very well written and the chemistry between the main characters is great.
The author was able to bring this story to life by creating characters with real emotions and reactions.
The sex scenes were steamy and very well-written as well.
I would recommend this book to all romance fans.

It is a universal truth that a group of were-animals is always cute, cool or a horror story. Luckily, Casey’s colony is a great combination of the first two!
