Can the Broken Ever Truly be Redeemed?
As a child, Lana Harrington loved the Lord. But then life happened, and Lana didn’t want anything to do with religion or Christ. As the owner of a successful cookie shop, one would think that things are perfect for the beautiful Lana. But outside appearances are often deceptive — just a mask for the turmoil that is really going on inside a person’s heart, soul, and mind. When Lana decides to take a hard look at her sense of spirituality, she starts to feel as if something is wrong, something is missing. Sometimes, when a sista seems broken beyond repair in the romance and spirituality department, it takes a true man of God to step in and help her put the pieces back together again.

Broken but Redeemed book 1
The plot was good, but it was unrealistic that a 5 year old was capable of doing the things they did at such a young age. Also, there wasn't any closure with Penny or the dad. They weren't mentioned in the epilogue at all. What happened to them? No consequences to her writing the bad reviews or anything about her reaction that Shemar and Lana got together!

Sometimes life brings so much trauma. This child’s trauma started at age five. She loved both her parents and they loved each other. But the father. Patrick was a foolish man. His wife, Veda, loved him so much and followed im step with many of his wild notice. This story is a caution to be careful of what you will allow your mate to lead you into. The spirit will seek God or an alternative. Patrick chose an alternative and it had devastating impact on his own life and his wife and daughter. Lana was content to live her life to herself…not seeking anything from anyone. But her best friend Shemar had other ideas. He loved her for many years, maybe since kindergarten. But he also knew and respected her vulnerabilities and the trauma she endured. Will he be content to remain in the friend zone, when he wants so much more?

A Turnaround
When one feels they’ve been betrayed by people they trust in the name of God , it’s leaves a major black mark . The story of Lana is such the case. Lana experienced an early in life situation that caused her to question faith in general. It took years of prayer by family and friends to see things in a different light. The author did an excellent job in sharing the story of ups and downs and triggers of testing religion.

He never leaves you
This was story of God's faithfulness. Lana's father pulled them in to the cult but God through Lana brought her and her mom out by helping them escape. Lana later learns a valuable lesson. I got upset with her for aminute but love and God helped her find her way back.

Fiya!
I almost missed God's blessing! This message on repentance was definitely a story of teaching a child when young Proverbs 22:6. The story emphasizes that when grandmothers and friends continue praying, amazing results happen!
The first chapters were difficult to read. After came a superior message.

Amazing Read
Love this book, I love how she found her way back to Christ lol I was worried at some parts the she wouldn’t get it together. Also a plus that it was based in my Hometown Durham. I’m a Georgia girl now but never forget where I came from. God Bless

Redeemed
Lovely, haunting story about the anguish of childhood abuse, fear and cults. But God IS our true Redeemer however I lives began, that doesn't have to be the end HE has in mind for us

This was a beautiful romantic story with a twist of suspense.I enjoyed it very much and hope you do too. It was good to see Shemar's gift of discernment in action.
