I'm a bestselling author of dark mafia, billionaire, and paranormal romance. I love to read and write about hot, filthy talking alphas that would burn the world down for the women they love.
I love chatting to readers about my books, or books in general, so please get in touch! You can follow me on Facebook and instagram as well as on here as Sadie Kincaid Author.
Right, these hot vampires will be the bloody end of me.
So the third book follows straight on from the second, so you do need to read them in order. So book two absolutely flayed me like a fish! Bound in Blood follows Ophelia as she harnesses her newfound powers to protect her fated mates and prevent darkness from taking over the world. All while she’s trying to find out the truth about what really happened to the vampire who sired her mates.
Sadie’s book are always a good time. I love knowing that whenever I pick up one of her books, I’m in for a great read! This has been such a fun trilogy, and I’m sad to see it end! The story has been so much fun, the spice is incredible, the vampires are massive babes, secrets and truths are revealed, and I love how Ophelia is forced to make choices that blur the lines between good and evil. I really enjoyed this story!
The story was well developed while still being easy to read and follow, which sometimes, isn’t always the case with fantasy. Every loose end was tied up in a nice little bow and the spice was incredible (as always, super hot). Everything that happened made sense, and I think for being her first paranormal series, she knocked it out of the damn park! So much fun.
- Paranormal - Why choose - Professor/student - Twists & secrets - Mystery - Touch her and ☠️ - Spice
Bound in blood ⭐️.2 I just think this is one of the worst series I’ve ever read. The plot was horrid. The plotholes even worse. Not even the smut could save this. The characters were ass. Everything was rushed and made no sense. Like this was unbelievably bad and of course I still finished it cause I’m me haha. Also the way the magic and fights were portrayed were so horrible. And we had no emotional connection to anyone or anything. Ophelia’s one personality trait was crying or being horny. The boys just lusted over her and that was the depth of their relationship. I did not feel any close bond between them. And the boys were so weak in this too like showed no skill or power or anything. Malachi was my saving grace in the first one and I got way too little of him and just no substance at all. Only good thing about this book was the smut scene between Xavier and the professor. The professor was so boring and gave nothing but that scene was hot. I lowkey wish Ophelia would’ve died. Of course they did the whole main girl who has powers sacrifices herself and loses all her powers trope. Just my least favorite trope ever. God writing this review is making me mad. This was truly pitiful and this series was such a disappoint to me with potential that just failed me. Literally one of my least favorite fmc’s of all time. Literally no romance and SMUT THAT WAS BORING AND REPETITIVE. ARGH. HOW SAD. Of course she was fucking pregnant at the end. ALSO THE WHOLE BROTHER PLOT WAS SO DUMB AND UNDERDEVELOPED. SO MUCH MORE COULD HAVE HAPPENED THERE. As well as his son. WAY MORE SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED AND BEEN EXPLAINED. God this book and series makes me feel insane I want to scream ahah. Also the way her friends just died was so anticlimactic and the way the most powerful vampire his father died so easily was hilarious. Pitiful shit let me tell you. Sorry this is a very angry review I apologize

Bound in Blood was a fantastic conclusion to the Broken Bloodlines series. I loved the first 2 books and was more than pleased with this one! Book 2 ended on such a heartbreaking cliffhanger, and we are still unsure of what's really going on through the first part of this book. Who can be trusted? What is the truth? Everything is slowly revealed while the bond between Ophelia and her men continues to grow even stronger. I thought this book did the best focusing on the relationships between each of the main characters as they work to repair what was broken. I did have part of the villain's motivations figured out even in the last book, but it didn't take away from the showdown with them in the finale. And that finale was EPIC. It was tense, inspiring, heartbreaking...just amazing. There was a little less spice than what I'm used to in a Sadie Kincaid book, but I'm honestly glad because it allowed the plot to shine front and center. Two of our favorite characters FINALLY have their scene(s) together...IYKYK. I am so sad to leave the world of Montridge. I hope Sadie Kincaid writes more paranormal books in the future; I know she has a collaborative project planned that includes vampires! If you liked the first 2 books in the series, you will not be disappointed in this one!
-“I understand so little of his old life. His old world, filled with dragons and oaths and prophecies. But whatever happens next, I’m all in.”
Wow just wow. I started this series thinking that I was going to read a very spicy book with no plot and would enjoy it anyways but was so very wrong of what I ended feeling for the book. The spice was definitely there but the plot was plotting! Twists and turns. Gasps and tears. Very well rounded series! If you can handle a why choose with high spice and swords crossing I would 100% recommend this series!!
MMFMM 4 vampires one of them is a professor 4🌶️
Book 1: here for the vibes the plot was okay Book 2: plot finally hit! The cliffhanger🙌🏼 Book 3: plot twists galore and super high stakes! 🤯
I was hate reading this series after about 50% of book 1…
To be honest, I really thought this was going to be a great series for me. Before going into it I had seen a lot of positive hype on tiktok and having read some Sadie Kincaid books before I was really excited to read this. I even bought the special edition of book 1 before reading it, that was how sure I was that I would love it. Sadly, I ended up hating it after about 30% of the first book.
The plot concept wasn’t bad per se, and this series could have been okay. It would have been a predictable storyline, but with better writing and character development, it would have been fine.
There were so many parts of this series that annoyed me, I hardly even know where to start.
Spoilers for the entire series below.
First, the characters were so childish and annoying. For Ophelia, it was like the author thought: ‘I want her to be gentle, caring and sweet’ and in order to achieve that, she made her cry in every fucking chapter. It was so annoying, like she cried over the smallest things, that I just had to roll my eyes after book 1.
”I look at all four of my sons, incapacitated and in need of my help. Never in my long life have I felt so helpless.
Alexandros was just a creep. I hate that he’s like a 2000-year-old vamp getting with a childish 19-year-old girl. The fact that the quote above is in reference to his actual son, two of his sired sons that are also with Ophelia, AND the sired son with which he is also in a relationship should say enough.. The way in which he switches between a father figure and a sexual partner/lover with both Ophelia and Xavier made me so uncomfortable. The relationships between the characters who then form this sexual family unit was disturbing.
Axel and Malakai were fine but not very memorable. Malakai was a good character in the first book because he was the only one who wasn’t unnecessarily rude to Ophelia, but he really became a side character once everyone got together. The same goes for Axl, after book 1 he didn’t really bring anything to the story anymore.
Also, the why-choose relationship dynamic was unequal, and that made me uncomfortable. To me, a why-choose only works when everyone is on equal footing. And having this fated mates type relationship between Alexandros and Ophelia, but then making the boys some type of add-on relationships because of their bond to Alexandros was not it for me.
So while this series isn’t great, it was entertaining enough to make me want to read the whole thing. Unfortunately, the last book is the weakest of the three. It starts off like the others, but half way through the writing, which is already poor, gets worse, and becomes redundant. There are multiple chapters toward the end where the same event occurs, just different POV, but it’s exactly the same. I was skimming by the end just to finish. This just isn’t a good book, but it’s definitely not the worst thing I’ve read so there’s that.
Engagement: 3.5 I have to admit, I read a review which gave away the ending of the story, which sort of ruined the book a bit for me. The plot was interesting and complex enough that the ending would have been sort-of surprising if not for the spoiler. The voice actors were top notch, as usual, making this story much more exciting and interesting to listen to. Overall, this was a fun book to listen to on may to and from work.
Storyline: 3.5 This is the third and final book in the Broken Bloodlines trilogy. All the open plotlines, few as they are, are tied up in a nice neat bow by the end of the story. As there really is only 1 main plotline with little sub-plot, most of the storytelling is character based.
Readability: 4.0 ADULT CONTENT: for 18+ readers only. Like the other two books in the series, this was an easy book to listen to. The narrators were wonderful, bringing the characters and story to life. While I don't think this series is going to win any awards, I think that might be better - sometimes you just want something fun to read (or listen to) to escape the real world and immerse yourself in some raunchy good time fun... an this was certainly that!
Sorrry but BOOOOOOOO! No no no. Why must they always take the heroines powers, I’m so fucking over it. Haven’t women sacrificed enough? Jesus Christ. Grigios or whatever, you’re sick and demented. I had higher expectations for this book, sad.
Favs:
“Um, room. Singular.”
“What is it now, annoying human child?” Love him
“Do not even think about it, Dragon Whisperer.”
“You are kind of hard to read.”
“I have told you not to beg, Xavier. It does not become you.” FINALLY THANK YOU
Bound in Blood is the final instalment of the Broken Bloodlines Series by Sadie Kincaid. The third book did not disappoint. Bound in Blood was a roller coaster of emotions including despair, anger, heartache, joy and love. If you haven’t read these it’s a paranormal dark romance/why choose. I ate these books up! I am a sucker for a reverse harem and vampires are always sexy! There are spicy scenes in this book that will live rent free in my head forever. But this last book had the most heart too. The connection amongst this group is unmatched. Bound in Blood indeed. 4.5 ⭐️
This is one of those series where it’s better if you don’t think about it too hard… it’s enjoyable, but it’s decidedly not good, so it’s better to just glide through it and not get bogged down in pesky things like whether the plot makes sense… whether it ever matters that Ophelia has control of all 4 elements since she only seems to use the Dragonfyre she was gifted and her mysterious “light”… how an FMC can cry multiple times a day every single day, while having zero personality, and still somehow be adored by everyone who meets her… why Alexandros doesn’t tell her about the prophecy until 67% of the way through the final book and even then doesn’t push her to be the strong hero she needs to be… why a prophecy was even recorded about an event that was barely an event and only affected a handful of people…
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t deserve the 4 star rating, but it was a fun read nevertheless, so here we are :)
I have loved this series. And this was the perfect ending. I almost cried so many times.
I was so hoping the villain wasn't really the villain, but it made for a great story. I loved the plot twists, I just knew everything wasn't as it seemed.
I mourned the lost ones, but I enjoyed how everything played out.
Ophelia and her guys were just perfect together ❤️ And Xavier and Alexandros!!!! 🥵👌
This is absolutely my favorite book in the series, I loved everything about it, the plot, the story, the characters... the dragons!!
And that ending!!! Absolutely beautiful 😍
Sadie definitely outdid herself with this series. It's on my top 5 series of all time!! Amazing job 👏🏽
What a trilogy! I'm so glad I waited to listen to this on audio. The narrators did an absolutely brilliant job. They really bought these books to life!
I really enjoyed this. I had the best time listening to this. I laughed, I cried, and I wanted to scream. Brilliant 👏🏼
I just didn’t enjoy this book at all. I loved the first book, I was impatient to read the next books in the series, noted down release dates, book 2 released and I was disappointed and this final book was worse. I don’t know what happened to the great characters of book 1 but I found they became childish and the writing felt weak.
I felt like the book, the plot, the characters were all coming across as flapping with no purpose and ‘plot’ for the attempt of plot without any effort. I felt it was weak and just didn’t vibe with me.
I was really disappointed and basically skim read most of this book because I found the characters, the interactions and the book in places so cringy
Shame because I have read from this author before and loved past series so I was not new to the writing or style. This one just didn’t land for me.
I wanted to love this series, but it ended up being just okay. The female main character had the personality of a toddler. This girl has tears in her eyes over 131 times seriously, grow a spine. The plot was garbage; it had the potential to be good if Alexandros would’ve stopped being such a Tampon and not held Ophelia back in the name of keeping her safe. I enjoyed the first book because I thought it would build up more towards the rest of the series, and it was just a disappointment. Congratulations for writing a doormat of an FMC who ends up losing her powers at the end, and to make things worse, the epilogue could’ve been a text message, not even email worthy.

This whole trilogy has my whole heart. Impeccable!
You gave me smut in book one and 4 very possessive book boyfriends, you gave me a whole world of plot in book 2 and I won’t tell you how I felt in book 3 because that will give it away but HOLY SHIT!!
Sadie Kincaid… take a bow!! 🔥🔥🔥
Alexandros, Malichi, Axl and Xavier! You will always have a place in my heart…. And my bed 🫠🫠🫠
👏🏼 Sadie take a bow!! 👏🏼 This book was the perfect ending to such a good series! Everything was perfectly timed & explained… all unanswered questions from the first 2 books tied together in a great way. The plot & development throughout kept me hooked & the spice… Chapter 24/25 🥵🔥 Tension build up waiting for that scene 🙌🏼
This series really took me by surprise & I absolutely adored it & the main characters were 🤌🏼🔥 Would 100% recommend this series!!
Alright, let’s get into it… I DNF’d this at NINE PERCENT!! Yes, it’s that bad. (There will be spoilers, so read this at your own risk because I’m not tagging it as a spoiler)
If zero stars was possible, you best believe that’s what I’m rating this damn book.
Let’s be real, I hated the first two books of this series. But they were entertaining. Well, as entertaining as a dumpster fire could be, I couldn’t look away. They were truly the definition of trash in my opinion. But the third installment of this series is the trash topper to the trash cake, and soooo not in a good way. I’m truly embarrassed to say that I was sort of excited for this book to be released.
Let me set the scene for you. Axl, Xavier, Malachai, and Ophelia are all mourning the loss of Alexandros, blah blah blah. Now do we think that’s a good place to insert a smut scene? Me personally, HELL NO. In the midst of all their immeasurable pain, physical and emotional, from losing him, Sadie EFFING Kincaid decides that’s a WONDERFUL place to make them all start boinking… tf?! Now, you think I would’ve learned my lesson with the first two books, but no. Truly what the actual f… Ophelia is over here actively having a panic attack, and here comes the rest of the “numbnuts” (to quote ms. Kincaid🙄) with a “want us to make it better?” FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO!!!!
I made it 31 effing pages into this book… 3 chapters… I can’t anymore. That did it for me. The only book from this series that is worth any sort of praise (imo) would be the second one. That one at least had some semblance of a plot. And up until this point, I was willing to overlook the truly terrible smut placement. But this is just BEYOND horrendous. To each their own, I guess, but to me, this is waaayyyy too much.
After… whatever tf that was… I decided to do some skipping around to see if there was any other part of this book that’s worth any shit. Honestly, there’s not. Plot twist (insert fake gasp), Alexandros is still alive… totally didn’t see that one coming. Blah blah blah, honestly I don’t care about it anymore at this point. However, I did do some research to see how this book actually ends. All of the female characters, EXCEPT effing Ophelia die?!! Honestly I wish Ophelia did die. Let’s dive into her for a second. She has the personality of a literal fricken toddler, but like on steroids. And she looks like a horny unicorn? Like seriously… she has bright pink hair, and her everyday outfit is a mini skirt and a tank top (panties may or may not be included)… how in the actual hell is everyone on this campus not constantly getting flashed by her? Back to the ending… on top of all, but one, of the female characters dying, Ophelia ends up losing her powers and is now pregnant…? Huh? For the love of all things holy, what kind of ending is that.
I truly thought about trying to push through this book, but I’m glad I decided not to. It was a shitshow 31 pages in, and I can clearly see that it only got worse. There’s no way I could’ve sat through all the bullshit and absolutely terrible smut for almost 400 more pages. I think it’s safe to say, I will not be reading any more of this author. Again I say, to each their own, this was just clearly not for me. Cudos to the people that enjoyed it, but honestly, I don’t see how you did…
4.5 ⭐️ The long anticipated conclusion to our new favorite paranormal why choose romance was so worth it. Picking up where we left off in the despair that the group was facing and ultimately making the choice to try and move forward to protect Ophelia, they ran into even more dire circumstances. As Ophelia once again proves she is so much more than just the ordinary, all the pieces fall into place as our elementai embraces her power and fights for her boys. And let me just say the dragons? Probably my favorite part. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
dnf - I couldn’t get past the YA feel of the writing, the predictability of the ‘who is the villain’ mystery, the amount of times ‘fuck’ or ‘fucking’ was used in every single chapter instead of more creative vocabulary, the spirallingly unhealthy main love interest, the staggering level of codependency the FMC has on the MMC’s, or the fact that the FMC cries practically everything.
I wanted to finish this to complete the series but even three quarters of the way in it wasn’t worth the frustration. I also expect book 3 in a series to be better and build on books 1 & 2 but this one didn’t live up to expectations at all. Perhaps the last quarter might have saved it, but you shouldn’t have to read more than half of the book to feel that it was worth reading when it’s the final one of a series.

Quick Review: I clawed my way through books 1 and 2 of this series, and honestly, I could have DNF’d and moved on at any point. But after getting through two books, I figured… why not just finish the damn series? I mean, really. Not going to lie I pretty much speed-read and skimmed this last book, focusing on the more enjoyable parts like the action and the actual plot.
I did love the twist, so I’m glad I stuck it out. But here’s my problem: I love morally grey leads, and I love dark stories, but I’m not a fan of books where the female lead is written like this one. She felt flat about as exciting as wet paper and I just couldn’t connect with her at all.
As for the male leads, they weren’t terrible in this book, but book 1 left such a bad taste in my mouth that it was hard to get behind them even now.
I’m glad I got through the series, but I wouldn’t reread it. Just not my cup of tea.
We Have ✅ Paranormal Romance ✅ Found Family ✅ Why Choose ✅ MMFMM ✅ Dragons, Wraiths, Warlocks, Prophecies (oh my) ✅ Plot That Said “Hold My Beer”
So here’s the thing— They got Alexandros back. The big reunion. The dramatic return. And somehow? It just kinda… happened. It felt like a door quietly shutting instead of the emotional punch to the face I was expecting. There were explanations, sure, but the intensity just wasn’t there like it was in the first two books.
And let’s talk about Ophelia. She’s supposed to be THE ONE. The chosen girl. The key to everything. But after all the build-up around her power and training… I just didn’t feel the payoff. We were told she was evolving into something unstoppable — but most of it happened off-page or in passing. When it came time for her to step into the role? It felt more like a whisper than a war cry. Where was the moment? Where was the “HELL YES” I’ve been waiting for??
We spent way too much time hanging around with Gregarious—or whatever his cryptic ass name was—and got zero answers. Then Alexandros gets rescued, and we STILL get no answers. Just vibes. Confusion. Wraiths. Chaos. And somehow Ophelia’s out here holding her own in a full-blown magical death battle like she’s been doing CrossFit and spellwork off-page this whole time??
Also. The dynamics. WHEW. They’ve written these men like a poly pack of bonded brothers with Alexandros as Daddy-in-Chief, and then Xavier becomes his partner but still sleeps with Kai and What’s-His-Name… and I’m just over here with my head tilted trying to work out the emotional math.
Lucian, though? Perfect. Beautiful. Devastating. The only part of this book that felt grounded and complete. Every single scene with him wrecked me in the best way. I NEED his book next. Give him his own POV, his own healing arc, his own everything. Lucian deserves the f–king world.
Now—was the whole book a letdown? No. The last 50 pages??? I was screaming, crying, emotionally unspooling like a cheap thread at a clearance bin. Shit got real, and I felt every second of it. Those 50 pages slapped me across the face and then kissed my forehead. Loved it.
Final thoughts? The series as a whole? Solid 3.5 stars. Books 1 and 2 were it for me. This one wasn’t bad—I just didn’t get what I wanted. And honestly? I have no clue what that even was.
But would I recommend this series? Absolutely. It’s fun, chaotic, filthy, emotional, and just unhinged enough to keep you coming back. Even when you’re mad. Even when you’re confused. Even when the prophecy makes no goddamn sense.
I am so thankful I was able to find this series as this was so good! This last book was packed filled with twist and turns in the plot with a side of spice of course! Ophelia and her fated mates could not catch a break it seemed like the whole dang book! I swore multiple times I would stop reading if someone else died. I couldn’t handle losing our fated mates. Oh I’m sorry Ophelia’s fated mates. Thankfully I pushed through to the end to be saddened all over again to know their story is over.
This book was better than the previous 2 and it had more action than both others combined but it felt like it was missing something.. I wasn’t invested in this story and found myself bored many times. The spice did get spicy but it felt repetitive.
Ok period!!! What a crazy ending!!! I kinda predicted it but I had some guess wrong so consider me still bamboozled!! I was HOODWINKED!!
Professor Daddy Alexandros Drakos: I love you
That’s all
Fav linezzzzz
- “You will never lose us, sweet girl. I will cling to this life for eternity for you. I will make all the bargains I am able to with Death himself before I leave you alone.”
- “It’s love that makes us afraid – afraid of losing what we have. Some might say that makes us weak, but I prefer to believe it gives us our greatest strength. There is no one more powerful than someone fighting for something they love. And no one so destructive as one who loves only themselves.” ( gah damn!!!)
- “Those who cared to look directly below the surface, as I did, would have seen a boy. One filled with sadness and self-doubt and a deep, gnawing yearning to be good enough.” ( ☹️😩😢 )
- “You have been mine and I yours since time began, and we will remain so until the end of days.”
- “The depth of my pain is so intense it is impossible to feel it - for if I experience even a fraction, I will surely shatter into a million fragments of myself, and scatter amongst the four wins. Although perhaps that would be a far less cruel fate than a world without her in it.” (DONT DO THIS TO ME 😩😩)
Well now this book definitely packed a punch. Yes, I guessed all the twists and turns. Yes, I was getting a little annoyed at the beginning when Ophelia, Axel, Kai & Xavier took their time discovering what I already knew as a reader, but I still found it riveting, action packed and fast paced.
That’s the best way to describe the third and final book of this series. From beginning to end I was hooked and I swear to you all if you pick this series up make sure you do the audiobooks. The multiple POV narration absolutely killed it in the best possible way!
I really love diving into a world that just gives you good vibes regardless of how cliched the story is. It’s so much fun and gets me out of a reading slump.

The long wait is over!! We finally got all our answers from Promised In Blood... The twists and turns in this book had me gasping. Some I even guessed correct. This book really is all about the prophecy and how Ophelia is the key to it all. By the end of this book my heart was ripped out and then was put back together again. I absolutely LOVED this book. No, correction... I loved this ENTIRE series and I wished it wasn't over. If you love all things paranormal.. Guys, PLEASE, give this trilogy a read.. you won't regret it! (The spice through out the whole trilogy 🤌🏻🤌🏻) Happy Reading!! 🖤
