Frosty and the Reaper

Rate this book
What happens when a cheerful fae and the Dark God of War fall in love…

Princess Kami Frost’s life had recently spiraled into utter chaos. After discovering she is not the daughter of the Fae Queen of the Winter Kingdom as she had always believed, she should feel relieved. After all, her supposed mother had always treated her with a cold disdain, almost as if she were an enemy. However, finding out that her real birth mother was a psychotic goddess is hardly an improvement. Especially since that means she is now a demi-goddess and the new ruler of the Realm of Illusions.

The only silver lining in the whirlwind of revelations is her newfound ability to free the reapers who have been imprisoned for centuries. However, releasing a bunch of pissed-off, powerful dark gods comes with its own set of challenges. Most of the reapers are hell-bent on getting revenge against those who have wronged them, and some of them have included Kami on that list.

Her only hope for salvation rests in the hands of her mate, an ancient reaper known throughout the realms as the God of War. With his fierce reputation, enigmatic past, and formidable powers, Zander stands as either her greatest ally or her most dangerous adversary. The challenge is deciphering which role he intends to play.

Bound by fate, they must navigate the treacherous path of trust and betrayal. As secrets unravel and hidden truths come to light, the line between love and duty has never been so thin. But in the end, only one will prevail. With obstacles trying to tear them apart, will their love become the ultimate sacrifice, or can they forge a new path together and find a way to rewrite their destiny?

The Kami Event🙂
The Kami Event🙂
Her life hasn't been easy though not dull. She's sassy, determined and anxious. Her personality is on point. Him... nothing like waking up after a bit of a nap.
When she has lil choice but to pal around one of the 4 her life becomes much more involved. Her fam/friends are as chaotic as she is.at the moment they aren't sure how they feel about the new family addition.
The tree and the water as them all just about speechless. The story is adventurous. Passionate. Quick to the heat. The drama flowed well. I cant wait for the next story.

Loved it!

I love this whole.series, but especially this book about Kami and Zander. The story is such a delightfully fun read about one of the Four Horsemen. I am looking forward to the next one in this series.

Kami hides her pain from everyone. And knowing the evil that is her mother doesn't help. She isn't ready for a mate. Especially one that is as angry as Zander is. Can she heal both herself and the one fated to be hers?
Frosty and the Reaper is the latest in Laurie Roma's Misfit of Magic series. I really enjoyed this world Ms Roma has created. While this story can be read as a standalone it is best read in order. I really enjoyed Zander. He could have held in to hate but instead he made an effort to look past Kami's parentage to the woman fated to be his. Even as he struggles to learn all that has changed while he was imprisoned. I love seeing Kani and Zander learn about each other even as the heal from past hurts. This story is well written and enjoyable. I love the journey Ms Roma took us on and cannot wait to see where she will take us next.
