A heady mix - a masquerade, a dance, a hunt and a promise. Not something I can resist 🫠
I mean - it’s a short story, but especially considering that it’s only 43 pages, this was fun. A LOT of fun actually. It felt a bit like an episode of a regency/Cinderella plot, with Grayson sneaking in to a masquerade, only to catch the attention of the Lord of the manor (Logan) and to disappear soon after, leaving Logan intrigued- and wanting to find the man he shared a dance with. And it’s not ending with a HEA , which is just as well - it only whet my appetite for more.
Loved the tension, the atmosphere, and the dreamlike, almost poetic writing. And it’s hot, even though there’s not much “happening” apart from a kiss.
Ryan, if you read this: I’d definitely be up for more 🥰

You want a super short novella-style book (about an hour’s read) with Cinderella vibes but make it gay? Then this is likely the book for you!😂
This book starts off with Grayson sneaking his way into a high-society masquerade ball, which Logan, the billionaire, is hosting. Grayson and Logan feel a pull to each other and decide to not only dance together but to also share a kiss. When Logan starts to make assumptions and question Grayson about if he is working at the masquerade ball or not, Grayson decides his best bet is to run away so he doesn’t get caught for being a fraud. Logan, on the other hand, finds a slip of paper that Grayson dropped when he fled and starts tracking Grayson down.
This book isn’t the typical novella where the two MCs meet and then jump into bed together. It focuses on how the MCs met and formed a bond that eventually ended in them starting a relationship. I would classify this book as a “meet cute” novella that ultimately ends in an HFN where the sequel explores their relationship further. As I saw some other people suggest, this book kind of acts like a prequel, and I agree! Prequels are not the type of books I read often, so I’m glad I took a chance on this one because I did end up really enjoying it.
I, of course, would have loved to see more of these characters and their dynamics, but there is only so much you can fit in 62 pages lol. Even though it was short, I felt like the author really did a good job at forming the bond between the couple and the character backgrounds. Plus, I liked the writing style and how detailed the author was in their descriptions!
Safety info:
- no past hookups show up
- no OW/OM drama
- no real spice so no info on strict t/b or vers

This was an incredibly well written short about one man who’s worked hard to build financial stability and another who was born into it and consistently forced to deny his dreams and passions to maintain that wealth.
I’ve not read many shorts that put as much effort into backstory and character development as this one so props to the author for that. Unfortunately, parts of it did seem a little drawn out and could have been edited down for succinctness.

Quick & enjoyable read
With a Cinderella vibe and a first kiss that sizzles on the page, this novella was very enjoyable and satisfied my need for the swoons. The writing is well-done and made me want to gobble this story right up.
Ryan Moore was a new-to-me author, so I was excited to give his book a try. I’m happy to say, I am now a fan and I will definitely be reading more from him.
If you love MM romance and are looking for a quick read, I definitely recommend this!

Unforgettable Encounter is a 43-page short story, the first installment of the Private Encounters series.
This is a fun short story. I really enjoyed it. The characters are interesting, and the story was well written. It introduces us to Grayson and Logan. We get just enough to be intrigued. My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough. It ended, and I was left wanting more. I am curious enough to read the next installment.

Ok Ryan Moore, sir, how dare you pull me in to your writing & then leave me hanging w/ a cliffy. Yes, I'll be diving directly into A Taste of Forever for the HEA.
Because this is a novella and doesn't have an hea, I'd consider this a prequel. With that being noted, here's what I loved...
The writing. It has that old school erotic vibe & flow that's oh so alluring. I was immediately intrigued & invested by the author's descriptive scene set up in chapter one. And easily kept my interest throughout. The chemistry between Logan & Grayson was so delicious. And while there's no sex in this, the kisses and gentle touches left me desperate for soooo much more. This quickie read is great foreplay for book 2.
Had this book been a complete romance w/ HEA, I may have rated it a 5-Star.

This story was pleasantly surprising. It’s very short, I believe less than 50 pages. It has a bit of a Cinderella vibe with one MC (Grayson) going to a masquerade ball and meeting the other MC (Logan) but never giving his name. They dance, share a kiss and Grayson only leaves behind a slip of paper for Logan to figure out who this masked man is. This is NOT a retelling, however.
It’s not spicy so if that’s what you’re looking for this isn’t it, however the writing is phenomenal and the 3rd POV (which usually isn’t my thing) works really well for this story, maybe because it is so short I’m not sure. It’s left on a more HFN than HEA. It was a nice palate cleanser.

Very well-written and kept my attention from the start! The characters have soooo much chemistry and plot was absorbingly good. The ending left me hanging and I cant wait to read more!

Another Cinderella story, but a fun, grown-up version.
Once again, the author captures a particular moment in the beginnings of their relationship and uses that to create a short story full of intrigue, anticipation, and excitement.
Looking forward to reading something full-length from this author.

This was a quick, light read with a touch of mystery and a hint of romance. I enjoyed the masquerade vibes and the intrigue woven through the setup. While I would’ve loved to dive a bit deeper into the characters and their connection, it was still a fun little read. Can't wait to see what happens next.

In order to fully enjoy this story, be sure to download the two bonus stories available through the author's newsletter. Unmasked (Grayson's POV) and Golden Chain (Logan's POV) will give you a better understanding of the two men's backstory.
My review refers to the story that is revealed by reading all the three novellas
So, this was very interesting and it left me craving for more.
Grayson and Logan attended the same prestigious college, but while Grayson was there thanks to a scholarship and had to get a job as a server to cover his expenses, Logan was the heir of a very wealthy family and the two of them lived in different worlds.
After a few years, Grayson has started to established his own business through hard work and Logan has taken over the family affairs.
They will meet again during a Masquerade Ball and a strong attraction will sparkle between them.
Like a modern Cinderfella, Grayson flees from the gala, leaving a stunned and very interested Logan behind.
The three novellas together give the reader a view of these men's past: both of them struggled a lot during college but for very different reasons. I liked very much how fate brought them together again.
There's zero spice in this book, but their first kiss is memorable.
What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
I'm not a fan of HFN instead of a full HEA. The reader is left wondering what will happen to them and I really really hope the author will write another story about these lovely characters.
I also had some struggling trying to understand if Logan recognised Grayson or not, why did he refer to him as staff if he already knew he wasn't a server (it seemed a little snobbish of him).
I really really need more about them.

Thanks to the author for the free copy of this short story.
As a short story, of course I understand that it has to be short. But it felt like there were some gaps in this story. The scenes where Grayson and Logan were kissing, and the build-up to those (especially the first one) were very detailed and I enjoyed those a lot, but some of the other scenes seemed a bit neglected.
For example: in the last chapter, Logan walks up to a group of people where Grayson is standing and they start speaking. What happened to the other people? Because suddenly the two MCs were kissing again and talking about going on a date, and it just felt a bit out of place in a room full of people.
Also, we never find out why Grayson forged an invitation to go to this party???
The dialogue was also really clichéd in some places. Logan said he “wanted this since I saw you” which sounds like he’d been watching Grayson for a a while. But there didn’t seem like much time at all had passed between Grayson arriving at the party and the two of them dancing. Maybe there was supposed to have been a time gap here, but if so it wasn’t clear.
I was also left wondering if Grayson was going to tell Logan he knew who he was from uni even if Logan didn’t recognise him???
In conclusion, I thought the characters had good chemistry and the more intimate scenes were detailed and drawn out in a way that made the reader really feel the scenes, but there were some holes in the rest of the story and some things that just weren’t explained at all.

Short and sweet
This is a delicious little ham slider of a story. It has kind of a Cinderella feel to it, but Grayson doesn't need a fairy godmother because he's already saving himself. I think Logan is really sweet. And they have so much charged chemistry between them.🔥 I just want more of their story!
I received a copy of Unforgettable Encounter by Ryan Moore for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I won this in a Goodreads Giveaway, so firstly, thank you!!
I thought this was a Smut book (I am not upset it isn't, I probably prefer it that way). This was a super quick read and I did enjoy that. Most books I read are sooo long.
This book gives M/M Cinderella vibes. Its like a quick peek into their lives then it ends.

This short story is a modern day Cinderella fairy tale. It develops quickly and the tension between the two main characters is high ❤️. So if you need something short, entertaining with a lot of heart, this is the one for you! And if you want to know more about Logan and Grayson, Ryan has a lot of bonus material where you can learn even more about them!

One night. One dance. One unforgettable encounter. This book was ok for me. I struggled to finish reading it and it wasn't that long of a read. I mean I read it as a free read on book funnel so it wasnt a waste to me. Grayson forges a invitation to attend a grand masquerade ball at Westwood estate and bumps into Logan Westwood someone from his college past. it is a MM romance. no spice, enemies to lovers, billionaire obsessions. As secrets unravel and identities are exposed, will passion be enough to bridge the divide between them?

A short, sweet romance, that has a surprising amount of heat considering there are no full sex scenes. Lots of intrigue and a coincidence that doesn't seem at all contrived brings two strangers together. Short, sweet and full of UST. Wonderful.
Beautiful dancing scene and very romantic story. Love it.

Another good, fast, easy read by Ryan Moore but like the first book in this series Unspoken Lust: A Steamy Age-Gap M/M Romance with Forbidden Longing and Second-Chance Heat (A Hidden Desires Story) I wanted more. Even just a few extra chapters to tie things up a bit. I sort of felt like I was left hanging with this one, still a very good story. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
