The Bone Witch I never thought in a million years that the bones would choose me.
The power, the magic, was supposed to go to someone else in the family. I was counting on it.
But now my Grammy Ruby is gone, and here the bones sit on my kitchen table.
I thought bitter relatives would be my biggest problem. But I’ve barely had time to find a familiar before trouble comes a-knocking. The kind that possesses smoldering green eyes and a smile that can turn any woman dumb.
His name is Rogan Kendrick, and he’s certain that someone is hunting down and taking my kind.
According to him, I’m next.
This is a world that I never wanted to be a part of, but magic gives no fucks and takes no prisoners... At least we have that much in common.
I don’t know what my ancestors were thinking when they chose me, but I’m going to give them a run for their money. My name is Lennox Osseous, but you can call me the Bone Witch.
The Blood Witch I never saw it coming...the bones...the magic...the betrayal.
It’s no longer a question of who I can trust—the answer is no one. Now, it’s about survival.
I’m in the heart of the Order, trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances, while doing everything that I can not to become bait.
Enemies are circling, and they can’t seem to decide if they see me as a pawn or as a threat. Oh, and there’s that little issue of being tethered to Rogan, who I now want to kill.
It’s time to figure out just what I’m capable of though. Because fool me once...shame on you. But fool me twice...and I will crush your bones to dust.
My name is Lennox Osseous, and I’m about to unleash the wrath of the Bone Witch.
The Bound Witch What do you do when you thought it was all over, only to realize it's all just begun?
I died.
I looked into Rogan Kendrick’s eyes, told him I loved him…and then I died.
So how the hell am I standing naked in the middle of a morgue, doing my best not to freak the fuck out?
I’m a Bone Witch, or at least I was before Rogan bound us together. Blood magic now flows through my veins too, and I think somehow the man I shouldn’t love, the one who betrayed me, who couldn’t choose me…has saved me.
If the High Council finds out they’ll hunt us, and they won’t be the only ones. A certain bastard demon did promise to see me soon.
I don’t know exactly what the hell is going on, but I do know this: My name is Lennox Osseous and it’s time to show them why you don’t fuck with the Bone Witch.
Ivy Asher is addicted to chai, swearing, and laughing a lot (but not in a creepy, laughing alone kind of way). She loves the snow, books, and her family of two humans, and three fur-babies. She has worlds and characters just floating around in her head, and she's lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing people who support that kind of crazy.
The story itself is intriguing, with solid pacing that kept me turning the pages. The world Ivy Asher created has a lot of potential, and there are definitely moments that pulled me in. That said, the FMC rubbed me the wrong way from the start as she came off as overly confident to the point of being a bit annoying and self-important. The romance had a very instant-love vibe, even though it wasn’t openly acknowledged at first… but you’ll know it when you see it. It wasn’t a bad read overall, just not one that fully clicked for me.
The Bone Witch: 3 stars The Blood Witch: 4 stars The Bound Witch: 3,5 stars All together 3,5 stars rounded up for goodreads.
The series was enjoyable enough if I'm honest, though the ending felt very lackluster. The Blood Witch was my favourite of them all as it felt the most impactful. The banter and Leni's sassiness was fun, though I wish she would use her brain more in the first book.
I just love Ivy Asher style of writing!! At this point you can say I’m obsessed with her books!!! This book was funny, unhinged, slow and fast as the same time..just a good time!! Anyways this is perfect fall spooky season book!!!
