They sent her to study the forest. They never mentioned what hunts there.
Dr. Elise Holloway, a no-nonsense wildlife biologist, accepts a high-paying, secretive assignment in the remote town of Bluffs End, Washington. Officially? An environmental survey. Unofficially? Investigate a string of disappearances in the deep Olympic Peninsula—where locals speak of something ancient, enormous, and territorial.
Under the command of a cryptic ex-military handler, Elise and her team venture into a vast, uncharted valley. Trail cam footage shows towering shadows. Giant footprints appear near their camp. And when their tech fails and comms go dark, the forest closes in.
As paranoia takes root and secrets unravel, Elise uncovers a chilling this mission was never about research—it was bait. And now something is watching. Tracking. Hunting.
To escape, Elise must survive both the creature and the people willing to kill to keep its existence buried forever.
Perfect for fans of survival thrillers, cryptid horror, and cinematic adventure.
This was a good Bigfoot adventure. I mostly enjoyed the story and the characters harrowing trek through the bleak mountain landscape. The Bigfoot were fun, nothing too crazy just a standard retelling of the Sasquatch legend. The were a few parts that dragged on but it was an enjoyable quick read.
Research was excellent , storyline was refreshing and the Characters well developed I couldn't put it down and I'm looking forward to any and all future books
I have read dozens and dozens of Bigfoot books. This is a natural standout. Very well written, characters that you can ‘see’, and vivid descriptions that make you feel like you’re in WA with them. Cannot wait to read the next novel
Warning there are spoilers in this review. The story was draggy, trekking through the valley was slow, and contact with the creatures was far and in between. When they did finally come face to face with the creatures it didn't last long at all. 3 stars
