All Clover wants for Christmas is a job. He never expects Saint Knack, or that all Saint wants this holiday is him.

When Clover started working at sixteen, he loved his job with all his heart. He hoped to stay there forever. However, when they hire his ex to be his manager, Clover is out. Unfortunately, he never thought it would be so hard to get work this time of year. When he spots the ad for an office manager for a personal security company, he doesn’t think he has much of a chance. That is, until he meets Saint.

When Clover walks into Saint’s office, Saint is more than a little shocked by the tall, skinny kitten in front of him. Seriously, he’s dressed like a kitten. After five minutes in Clover’s company, not only is Saint certain Clover is perfect for the job, he’s even more certain he’s also exactly what Saint needs for himself.

Kitten is a whirlwind, insta-love holiday story giving a peek into Charity Parkerson’s Steel Security. This series deals with some of the toughest bodyguards in the country falling hard for men they never see coming.

Clover just wants a new job for Christmas after losing the one he loved, thanks to his ex becoming his manager. Desperate and running out of options, he applies for an office manager position at a personal security firm — a job he’s sure he won’t get. Then he meets Saint Knack. Saint is stunned when Clover walks into his office dressed like a kitten, but within minutes he knows two things: Clover is perfect for the job, and even more perfect for him. Their connection is instant, sweet, and a little chaotic — exactly the kind of whirlwind holiday romance Clover never expected.

I enjoyed this novella which is a sweet, fast‑paced holiday romance with just the right touch of danger. Clover’s life is already in shambles when he loses his job, but the real threat comes from his toxic ex — a presence that lingers like a storm cloud and adds a sharp edge to the story. Enter Saint, the gruff, steady security expert who takes one look at Clover and feels something immediate and undeniable. Their connection sparks instantly, the kind of pull that feels both fated and irresistible. Even with danger circling, the chemistry between them is warm, protective, and wonderfully intense. A whirlwind insta‑love story where a dangerous past meets a fiercely devoted new beginning — and love wins the moment these two lock eyes.

This is a modern mm romance novella, a prequel in the “Steel Security “ series that should be read in order. This is an insta-love trope, and it is a fun short Christmas read! I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

the concept was cute but everything happened so fast that it made no sense. when did they get engaged? why was the wedding not shown? the only good thing was clover not being a complete pushover.
