A deadly Nazi secret lies buried deep in the Norwegian fjords. The mission to destroy it will push Britain’s best to the edge...

January 1941. The Atlantic convoys are being slaughtered. A new German technology is helping U-boats coordinate with devastating precision, and British Intelligence has just discovered the a secret facility buried in the rock face of a remote Norwegian fjord.

Michael Fernsby and Richard Keene are Britain's finest, the top operatives of the shadowy and elite Unit 317. They must destroy the facility before the next convoy is lost. But reaching it means a deadly journey through the frigid arctic cold of Norway's mountains in the dead of winter.

Cut off from support, flanked by commandos and pursued by German forces, the mission spirals into a desperate fight for survival as the clock runs out.

Meanwhile, in occupied France, resistance broadcaster Mina Postner has gone silent. With the Gestapo closing in, she and her team in Amiens prepare for their most dangerous operation yet. Her broadcasts have made her a target. But it’s her new mission that will change her forever.

From the icy mountains of Norway to the burning fuel yards of France, Nordland is a story of courage, sacrifice, and the razor-thin line between victory and defeat. Perfect for readers of Alan Furst and Ken Follett.

Nordland is the next unforgettable chapter in the Fernsby’s War series...

J.C. Jarvis grew up in Derbyshire, England, with a lifelong fascination for history, particularly the Second World War and Tudor England.

After serving in the British Army and later working in the IT industry, he turned fully to writing, transforming a lifelong passion for history into a career as a bestselling historical fiction author.

In addition to Fernsby’s War, Jarvis is the author of the John Howard Tudor series and the origin novel Defying the Reich, which tells the powerful early story of fan-favourite resistance heroine Mina Postner.

When not writing, J.C. continues to research obsessively, always chasing the next story buried in history’s shadows.

can't wait

I honestly can’t wait for book 8! I freaking love love Michael, Mina, senton, Tony and everyone. There wasn’t a character I disliked on the rest since side. I feel like Michael fernsby is my real life bro, this anticipation for book 8 is going to eat at me. He’s a beast, like John wane type , sexy too in my head haha I reread the entire series starting with Mina story which was SOOOOOO GOOOD!!! I recommend this series to any ww2 resistance nazi books. Michael is def one of a kind. Please please please don’t let it in with 8 books. Ww2 was a long war so I know there is more material to cover lol

In the seventh book of this ongoing series, Michael Fernsby leads a small force of a specially trained unit to take out a secret Nazi facility in Norway. J.C. Jarvis, the author, intertwines this story with that of Mina, who works as part of the underground in France, where she is continually on the move to avoid capture by the Gestapo. As with the other novels in the series, Nordland is filled with tension, suspense, and non-stop action. While some of the narrow escapes of the protagonists must be taken with a leap of faith…it is well worth the ride. This is an adrenaline-filled series, and I’m already looking forward to the next installment in 2026.
