A CBA Bestselling AuthorAll Debbie Watson wanted was to join the Amish and live a simpler life. But when she moved in with the Beiler family, she had no idea the turmoil that lay ahead. Now Debbie is poised to marry Alvin Knepp, the Amish farmer she’s loved all along. Ida Beiler is recovering from a tragic loss while her sister, Lois, is running away from her faith. Debbie tries to bring calm to the sorrowing Beiler family while finding happiness with the man of her dreams.
Jerry Eicher’s bestselling Amish fiction (more than 210,000 in combined sales) includes The Adams County Trilogy, the Hannah’s Heart books, and the Little Valley Series. After a traditional Amish childhood, Jerry taught for two terms in Amish and Mennonite schools in Ohio and Illinois. Since then he’s been involved in church renewal, preaching, and teaching Bible studies. Jerry lives with his wife, Tina Eicher, and their four children in Virginia.
I really liked this book. I hate how Alvin decides to leave Debbie and immediately turns around and marries Mildred. I like how Ida finally found love with Ben. I like how Debbie finds love with Emery and they get married immediately. I like how her parents approve and how Bishop Beiler and Saloma accepted Debbie as their daughter in law. I rate this book five stars.
an excellent read from the Biler Sister series book 3
I have read many books by Jerry S. Eicher through the years. Because of his rich background, his books are accurate in every detail. More than that, he spins a great tale blending every day events with the unexpected that keeps the readers interest through the entire book.
This book brings a happy ending to the Beiler Sisters trilogy. Where there was so much sadness in the Second book, there happiness mixed with sorrow in book 3. The wedding season is filled with love and new beginnings.
I didn't get to read book two in the series and found some things a little confusing. It continues the story of a woman who joined the Amish after she finished college.
I am happy for Debbie she is a much better match with Emery rather then Alvin. Didn't like how Alvin mucked her around so much and then just left her like that was rude. Emery is much much better.
Debbie is now a baptized member of her community. Problems: she is left alone as she has lost both Alvin and Paul. Ida has finally found her happiness. Will Debbie ever find her true love in the community? I enjoyed the entire series and felt the series ended with a proper closure.
From bestselling Amish fiction author Jerry Eicher, here's another charming book about life among the Plain People.
All Debbie Watson wanted to do was join the Amish and live a simpler life. But when she moved in with her Amish neighbors, the Beiler family, she had no idea the turmoil that lay ahead.
As this final book in The Beiler Sisters series opens, Debbie is poised to marry Alvin Knepp, the Amish farmer she's loved all along. Ida Beiler is recovering from the tragic loss of her husband-to-be in a farming accident, while her younger sister, Lois, is still running away from her faith. Debbie takes it all in stride as she brings calm to the sorrowing Beiler family while finding happiness with the young man of her dreams.
Book 3 in The Beiler Sisters series.
About the Author:

My Review:
This being the last book in The Beiler Sisters series, the author gives you a bounty full of blessings. There is so many different dynamics in this last book that you can not wait to see how it is going to end. Debbie moves in with the family that she has grown to love so much only to find after moving there that her presence may have created a storm of sorts. Ida was doing her best to recover after the loss of someone so close to her heart.
Lois is still trying to decide if the Amish lifestyle is something she wants to commit to. The Beiler Sisters have led anything but a boring lifestyle. Many times our plans and God's are so incredibly different and what is equally terrifying is we don't usually see it until many years later. Waiting on God and His perfect timing is so difficult, yet it is something we must do and these girls learn exactly that. I can't wait to see what Jerry Eicher comes up with next! **Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Harvest House.
This has been a tough series for me. As you know, I have been hesitant for some time to actually read Jerry Eicher’s books but I finally relented after receiving this book from Harvest House to review.
Finding Love at Home is the third book in the Beiler Sisters series.
I don’t think it’s too repetitive to mention how Jerry writes such amazing, true-to-life Amish stories – because he grew up in the Amish faith.
This would give him a unique perspective that most authors who write Amish fiction just can’t reach.
I have seen this perspective – the influence from such a lifestyle – in every one of his books.
It’s also possible that a man’s point-of-view would be different from a woman’s – I think this adds a realistic outlook to the harsh reality of his stories. Yet this is very easy to picture when I think of the Amish lifestyle – it’s much harsher than the soft lives most people enjoy.
But oh, how I am beginning to love reading these stories… I lose myself in them – every time!
The characters portrayed in this story are comfortable friends to me now… and although I was hoping for something different – wow, I was blindsided again – everything worked out for the best. I dare not say more, so you can enjoy the book.
Do not miss this book or the rest of the books in this series.
This was one of those books I couldn't put down until I found out what happened. Having read the first two books in the series I could not wait to find out if Debbie and Alvin get their happily ever after and if Ida finally finds love. All of my questions were answered in this book.
The one thing that struck me when I finished the book was "what happens next?" It took a long time for Debbie to finally find love and when she did it was a long and winding road and not the one she expected. In fact, it seemed to me Debbie's story got cheated when she finally found love. It was almost as if her love story was an after thought. I wish there had been more development of Debbie's romance and future marriage. Maybe in another book? I hope so. I really grew to love this family. I loved all 3 Beiler Sisters, even Lois, and I will miss them.
Jerry S. Eicher has a wonderful way of weaving a story so the characters come alive and you can imagine what they are going through as you read. Thank you Mr. Eicher for a wonderful series. I am looking forward to your next book.
I was given a review copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A wonderful ending to the Beiler Sisters series by Jerry S Eicher. The story continues with Verna, Ida, Lois, Emery, Alvin, and Debbie. Verna gives birth to a baby girl. Ida finds love in someone she wouldn't have guessed. Lois marries and Englisher. Debbie heart is broken by the one she thought she would marry but finds love when she least expected it. I simply loved the books about the Beiler girls and Debbie's trek into being baptized in the Amish church. Through heartache and sorrow the family learns to endure and go on. Happiness is found when it is least expected and that is what Jerry put into this series. I laughed and cried with the characters. Wanted shake some of the characters to knock some sense into them. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves Jerry's books and Amish fiction.
...and they all lived happily ever-after. From Englisch to Amish in books 1 and 2 and now to serious romantic interests. Who got married to whom. Who invaded the space of another and what are the consequences. What is love... stability... comfort level... tingly, sparkly feelings...? Where does love come from... head... heart... someplace else...? Come along to Adams County and share the stories from a male author's point of view.
I always appreciate Eicher's "spin" on the Amish based romance novel.
Loved this book. This is the 3rd in the series and the first 2 should be read prior to this one. The way the story is carried is remarkable and will make it hard to put this read down any time soon once you have started!
