After surviving the wastelands of Neo Mars, Mace begins life at Delta with Faye and Cinder. The colony—a massive USF base with fabricators, a mining operation, an AI, and much more—should be full of other survivors.
But Delta is vacant. Where is everyone? What happened to the USF megacolony? The mutant germ burning through Neo Mars isn't helping, either!
Well, at least he'll have the gorgeous fox girls to keep him company... and they're keen on giving him all the company he wants!
You know when a book surprises you because it's different than what you expect? This sequel did that in a good way. I was expecting it to be a lot like the first Vixen, which was a great survival story with kitsunes. This book has some suspenseful chapters, but it's more about the cozy life they can have in Delta and getting to know each other as the characters spend time together. Instead of struggling to survive on Mars surface, the girls and Mace get more time to explore their relationship together and pick up another ally as well. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! It's a different pace than the first one, but I liked getting to see more of the characters personalities come out and develop. Definitely recommend giving it a read through!
I enjoyed the story as it continued to build on the last book. The harem is not growing to fast, and I find traits in each girl that I like. However I think Addy is the best girl so far.
