Would you risk yourself to prevent a series of murders?
What if the victims embodied everything you hated?
After the Bulgarian killer-for-hire, The Bumper, dispatched his April victim, Robert Hannah, a brilliant, but aimless poker-playing numerologist, is reluctantly drawn into the hunt for the puzzling killer intent on committing twelve perfect murders of wealthy, entitled young men in twelve cities over twelve months. Working alongside his old Harvard roommate, FBI Agent Curt Downey, and his team, Robert discovers the sinister pattern, threatening to thwart the murderous scheme.
But when he puts himself in the crosshairs, the hunter becomes the prey; the puzzles become more sinister, and the stakes skyrocket as Robert Hannah must choose whether to pull back and save himself, or push forward and risk joining the list.
Puzzles, patterns, riddles, and rhymes. Kill Them All will keep you guessing to the end.
This is one of my favourite books I have read in the last couple years. I was kept guessing throughout the book. The pacing was excellent. I would highly recommend this book. Anyone who is a fan of thrillers, puzzles and crime will love this novel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I loved this book! It kept me hooked with the mystery and the puzzles were great. Overall was such a great read. I was hoping for the ending that Hannah received as well. It was a pleasure to stumble across this book on your daughter’s TikTok account.
My only critique would be the switching of character POVs was a little confusing to follow. If the switch between those were more clear then this was easily a 5 star read for me.
Unusual book as you have to work out puzzles along the way. I love puzzles and didn't do too bad but of course did not solve them all. A couple of twists along the way. In acknowledgements somebody told the Author he "Has a winner." I agree. It's also a bit of a who done it so a book that keeps you engaged. Don't miss on this one as I think you will enjoy it.
i have a few things to say! i met this author in a chapters in Belleville, Ontario and he was the nicest, most engaging person. he told me and my friends about his book and it sounded so good so i bought it, and even though thrillers were not really in my comfort zone, I LOVED IT!!! the whole story was fast paced and the turns were so interesting and don't even get me started on the puzzles!!! i could not figure out a single puzzle in this book but once they were explained, it made everything make so much sense. i was blown away by the talent that this man has for writing. he deserves all the fame in the world! everyone needs to read this book, it was so so good! i will read every other one of his books!!
if you like figuring out puzzles and patterns, this book is for you. There is never a dull moment in the story. it keeps you guessing and on your toes. I thoroughly enjoyed the charactors and the story line. Can not wait for Philbens next book.
I normally don’t find myself reaching for murder mystery as a genre, but I had to for Mark Philbin. This had me staying up late to finish “one more chapter”. Love the concept of this book having more of a focus on why, when and where, instead of who. The jumps between the investigation and the hitman kept me engaged in the story and the writing style was spectacular. (Give the audiobook a listen too!) I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of true crime and criminal psychology. Can’t wait for the next one Uncle Mark :)
This thriller kept me intrigued and engaged all throughout! It’s been a while for me where a thriller really caught my attention and kept me wondering during every chapter, but this one did all that! I’m really looking forward to what he will write next. It’s a great debut novel!
One of the best books I have read in a while. I found myself not wanting to put it down as I needed to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait until the next one!
Excellent read! Purchased at Chapters in Peterborough when author was there promoting his book. Glad I purchased. Fast paced and intense. Wit and great characters made for a compelling read. Look forward to the next book!
This was a fast-paced puzzle thriller that started with a Sherlock Holmes–type character, Hannah, hired by the FBI as a consultant. But it quickly becomes clear that he and everyone else in the book have their own stories to tell, and no character feels like filler.
Philbin takes us on a ride where people die as the puzzle pieces fall into place, and the team assigned to stop it struggles to find the pattern and the reason behind it all.
I’ve found a lot of thrillers fun to read, but many lean heavy on plot over character. This one nailed both. Great story, great characters, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages. Definitely worth the read.
WOW! Lots of twists and turns I didn't see coming and many times I thought "they have to be getting close now!" What a wonderfully written novel, it pulls you in by the end of the first chapter and leaves you just pushing to finish "one more page" before going about daily tasks. Definitely a puzzling story till the very end ❣️
A great crime thriller that has you on the edge of your seat till the end. The main character evolves from beginning to end making Robert Hannah the heroin to root for. Hoping for another Robert Hannah puzzle encore.
In his debut novel, Mark Philbin draws the reader in right away with compelling characters and an intriguing mystery premise. The book is thoroughly entertaining and I can't wait for the movie version!
Amazing! Throughly enjoyed reading this book. I didn’t solve all of the patterns or puzzles, but I guessed one thing correctly but alas I cannot share that with you… you will have to read it yourself to see if you came to the same conclusion as I did! Enjoy!
I had a hard time putting this book down! It was fast paced and not filled with fluff. This would make a great movie! Can't wait to read the next book!!
PHENOMENAL thriller! I highly recommend. I couldn't put it down. It was the kind of well written and cleverly crafted novel I could envision as a movie. A true gem in the thriller category.
