WOW. The world Avril N. Sun has created continues to amaze me. Prevail the Tide has everything you want in a fantasy: mystery, love, nonstop thrills and CRAZY twists. It picks up right where Book 1 left off, and from the very first page, it’s full steam ahead.
This installment is even more fast-paced than the first, and I was hooked the entire time. We get deeper insight into the characters we already love, especially Nadhya, and learn more about their histories and motivations. There are new characters introduced, and the expanded worldbuilding adds so much richness to the story.
While we finally get answers to some of the burning questions from Book 1, Avril leaves us with even more questions by the end—which only makes me that much more excited for Book 3!
If you’re a fantasy lover, this series deserves a spot on your shelf.

This is becoming one of my favorite worlds to escape into!! If you haven’t picked up this series yet do it you won’t regret it! More of the characters you fell in love with from the first but this time your perspective will change. We continue Nadhyas story in Allov with the friends she has met but uncover more secrets that will have you questioning everything!! Kellan is becoming my favorite character(I’m a sucker for the morally grey) Nadhya starts to see him as someone she can trust and not as the awful thing she believed him to be. More secrets unfold and everything she held as truth is slowly slipping away even her past that seems to have some gaps… With the people she is closest to keeping some of the biggest secrets of all she has to navigate through everything she once thought she knew. With an ending that has me not only wanting but NEEDING more! I can’t say enough good things about this book I adore this story and the characters that have come to life in these pages!!

Calling all fantasy fans, this one's for you!!
I loved the world building and character depth of the first novel Brace the Tide, but it only gets better in this second book of the series. We learn even more background about Nadhya and her family, as well as many of the other characters. Secrets regarding the Daezh are revealed and OMG there are some shockers!
Nadhya is a fantastic lead protagonist. She is lovable, but also has flaws which make her even easier to cheer for. It's nice when then main character isn't 'perfect'.
After the way book one ended, Nadhya's mother is even more on her case. Watching her more closely and insisting she spend more time in the family run shop. Oh boy do we ever see her frosty side come out!
I don't want to spoil anything, but there are some major revelations in this one as the story really comes together and we the reader start to see a fuller picture of what is really happening in Allov.

I love that Nadhya's character is consistent, even though she pissed me off alot in this one lol.
The revelations and the plot twist(I knew it).
I liked that all of them has something deeper going on. They feel real, not as just book characters but as people. They all have their own story and their own lives.
Anyways, a cliffhanger, again!
Can't wait for the third book.

This sequel picks up right where the first book left off and managed to surpass its predecessor. I truly enjoyed it! Nadhya's character development was exceptional, and Wade's story absolutely broke me. I kept thinking that if she had just communicated with her mom from the beginning, they might have found a way to work things out—but after that ending, I don’t know what to believe anymore. I'm completely hooked and can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm absolutely reeling! I didn't think it was possible for Prevail the Tide to fill my heart as much as book one, Brace the Tide, did... but wow! Was I ever wrong!
Be prepared to hit the halfway point and not be able to put this treasure down until you finish it – and then mourn that there are no more pages left to read, then plead the universe that Avril will release book three ASAP so you can get your eager fingers upon it and find out what she has in store for you next – I’m scared, I’m delighted, I’m on the edge of my seat – I cannot wait!
Prevail the Tide opens right where Brace the Tide ended – phew, small mercies. From reading the blurb you’ll already know a few valuable tidbits. Ma becomes even more strict, causing Nadhya’s life to feel unbearably out of her control; trying to innocently see friends turns into an almost impossible task, let alone the truly important things that she must masterfully figure out how to accomplish.
We get to know Ma and Nadhya’s family even better in Prevail the Tide and it is glorious! More back story, more history, more details on Nadhya’s earlier life. Trust me when I say that you will gobble it up and yearn for more.

I started my review for Avril's first book in her Redemption series, Brace The Tide, with one word: wow. Simple as that. Would the same word apply to its sequel, Prevail The Tide? Well, I don't know. Is there a word more powerful than "wow"? I am sure there is. I am unsure if I will find the right words to describe Avril's high fantasy series and its utter perfection and greatness.
If you, like me, are a fan of true high fantasy filled with intricate world-building, rich lore & history, masterfully crafted characters with so many layers to them, plots full of mysteries & secrets to uncover, packed with action without losing their touch with deep & raw feelings, then The Redemption series is the one for you.
This series has it all and more. It will take you on a wild journey; it will make you want to uncover each and every secret (Avril can testify to the utterly insane amount of messages I've sent to her filled with my unhinged theories); it will glue you to your seat and make you forget that sleep is essential; it will make you gasp, cry, laugh; it will make you ooze with anxiety waiting to see what will happen next.
Prevail The Tide continues right where Brace The Tide left us, after the cliffhanger with Nadhya and Jay that left me breathless. Oh, Jay, you make my heart sing. Nadhya and her friends are in for a bigger mystery and adventure as the story moves forward. More new characters, shocking revelations ,twists and a lot more action . Past , present and future, all three are at stake as Nadhya uncovers things that were better left hidden for her sanity. Her fire and hate against daez still burns bright or does it now? What if There is more to what is on the surface?

I'll be totally honest , I love this book more than the first one 😍 it has everything!
The way Avril has created the world, it feels more alive and bigger in this one , not to mention the plot! The plot twists that kept hitting me in the face back to back , the story was captivating and kept me hooked !
Nadhya's character development is smooth in this one , I found her more to my liking, she's stronger and more aware here imo. There are some new characters that add more spice and twist to the story , keeping it more interesting. I loved kellen , I don't know if I should or not though😂
I absolutely adored the friendship and romantic moments here and there , our ship - Jay and Naddy is stronger in this one and there are some much needed moments 😉 but it's still a slow burn ofcourse, albeit a yearning kind.
The last few chapters were so much more than I expected, each chapter kept hitting me in the face 😅 nonetheless I enjoyed it ❤️ I loved the action and magic in this one , more mystery , more fun 😌
I don't want to spoil but the book ends at a cliffhanger which is not that bad but urges me to grab the next book quickly because I want to know what happened next! Aaah , in short it's a 5 star read , I am not a big fantasy love but I enjoyed 😌❤️.

If I thought Book 1 brought all the feels, I didn't know what was coming my way.
Who can you trust when everyone is keeping secrets?
Prevail the Tide starts right where Brace the Tide left us, with Nadhya being taken away and her mother...well, I don't even know where to start with her. Throughout Book 2, Nadhya works to discover the truth behind, well, everything. The more she learns, the less she realizes she truly knows about herself, her family, the Daezh, and the amulet her grandmother gave her for protection against them. Not everyone or everything is as it seems, Nadhya!
Avril is great at characterization and we see this again with Prevail the Tide, as we learn more about her friends and family, as well as some new acquaintances, with Wade's story in particular pulling at the heartstrings. Her descriptions of the market and all the creatures was so magical! Also, I need a crystal ring that will allow me to speak with my plans STAT! I liked the little tie-ins to Book 1, like Nadhya meeting the boy who hit her with the Sora ball.

You know what you need? To read this book right now. They say “Never judge a book by its cover” but the cover is BEAUTIFUL and the story is even better! This book is PACKED with action and twist and turns! Avril was meant to be an author, every thing she writes is a hit. You can’t help but root for Naddy in every challenge she takes on. Kellan grew to be one of my new favorite character but obviously, no one can top Wade in my book. If you haven’t started reading these books, read it for Wade. Wade, in my humble opinion, is the real main character. I mean, mans is a baddie that cares for his friends. I can’t say enough good things about Wade. Read the book friends. You won’t regret it!

This book is amazing! It's a high fantasy with everything I like: expertly crafted worldbuilding, magic wielders, secrets (A LOT of them!), demons and angels. The plot is packed with action, and the FMC is one of the strongest FMCs I've had the pleasure to meet. This second book in the series also has a little spice. I just can't wait for book 3 to be released!

ARC. Really loving the series and for once not rolling my eyes at the FMC, a great job making a hero. a Superb work in the world building. I recommend this much. I even felt some love for whom i was pissed lol. And the villains, gosh they are an excellent work. Give this one a chance!.
