Ally: I don’t trust easily.
Not after what happened.
Not after the way the world taught me that safety is always temporary.
But then he looked at me — like I wasn’t broken, like I wasn’t something to run from.
Jax was quiet fire.
Gentle hands.
A smile that made me want to believe again.
And for a moment… I did.
Until he disappeared.
And took the air with him.

Jax: Some people say they’re drawn to the light.
Not me. I’ve always found beauty in the broken pieces, the cracks that people hide behind polite smiles and hollow words.
She wasn’t looking for anyone.
And I wasn’t supposed to want someone like her.
But the second I saw her, everything else faded.
Her silence was louder than any scream.
Her eyes? Full of storms.
And me?
I’ve always had a thing for beautiful disasters..

This is not a standalone—Broken must be read first to fully experience the story.

Jax is back for redemption and his colours are finally showing through. If you love a subtle psycho who has an obsession with peanut butter and messing with your head, Jax.

As a girl’s girl, I was screaming at Ally for 40% of the book but this girl’s confidence grew so much from Broken (Book 1) that I was jumping for her every time she put herself first (that ONE SPECIFIC SCENE). Super fun short read with a little bit of neutral chaos.

This is a continuation of the Book 1. Highly recommend reading Broken first.

ARC REVIEW- I was not expecting that

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.2 / 5
🌶️🌶️/ 5

The book starts off where the last ended and I was wide mouthed and in pure shock by chapter one. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It showed a level to the characters that I didn't know I needed. You learn more about who Michael is and more about Ally's home life. This book does have both Jax's and Ally's perspectives which I did enjoy. Over all a great book I'm looking forward to more books from this author and series.

I practically ran to the bookstore the next day to see if Jax was redeemable. 🤣 I loved this read, and the verdict: he's mostly forgiven. He was honest about who he is, and if our girl Ally is happy, then who am I to judge? Better the devil you know than the devil you don't, 🤔🤷‍♀️ (it helps if the devil is hot, though, right? 😉)

wow, the concept was awesome.
I'm a broken and flawed trauma victim, and although you made reference to it, the overall journey to justice and healing was inspiring loved the whole set want more.

To fully understand Flawed, it is recommended to read Broken first, as it is a direct continuation.

Margaux Paris is truly deserving of immense praise for her outstanding work in incorporating Broken & Flawed after the exceptional cliffhanger in Broken, which undoubtedly left a lasting impression on me.

This time around, we had the unique opportunity to experience the story from a dual perspective, with both Jax, also known as Fireman Sam, and Jackson & Ally, also known as Banana and Hannah, sharing their viewpoints, which added depth and insight to the narrative.

This love story fearlessly defies convention, evoking strong emotions and laughter, while masterfully highlighting profound character growth from both individuals, making it an utterly unforgettable experience.

I highly recommend the Damaged Hearts Series and look forward to future works by Author Margaux Paris.🖤🖤

I said to myself at the end of Broken that I would never like Jax again and truly believed he could not have a redemption.. I was wrong😆 By the end of Flawed I actually liked him! Huge props to the author for being able to write a character that we hated and then eventually liked again! That takes skill! Thank you to author Margaux Paris for the opportunity to read this as an ARC! *all opinions are my own💗

Jax… my man Jax! Not sure if I want to marry you or throat punch you!
You broke our girls heart and part of me didn’t want to forgive you!
However you redeemed yourself and I’m thankful!

Margaux you did it again and wrote an absolute banger! Again I read this in a day and had my face stuck to the book whenever I had a free second away from mum life!
Your books just captivate me!
I cannot wait to read Tyler’s story and just hope my heart can handle it!

ARC Review - This book was just as good as the first. I loved reading Jax and Ally’s story and even better we got to get inside Jax’s head with this book giving us dual point of view.

I want this to get a spoiler free review as you really need to read this duet for yourself to get all the feels. I could not put Broken or Flawed down and loved both Ally and Jax from start to finish!

The second book in the Damaged Hearts series by @margauxparisau 💔

This book was just as raw, honest and emotional as book two. I won’t give away any spoilers.....this is a story you need to experience on your own.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again....please, please, please read this series. And don’t forget to check the trigger warnings first.

Jax had A LOT to redeem about himself and did he what?! I fear I’m in love with Jax, all crazy and sexy Jax 🤤 Margaux I laughed, I cried, I gasped and fell in love! Ally and Jax fit so well together and I’m so glad they are on their road to forever happiness. If Broken left you speechless and wanting to scream into Margaux’s face then please read Flawed 😍

Loved that Jax was kept unapologetically himself. who needs perfect when we can have a perfectly imperfect physico to love.
Thank you for not falling into the trap of 'redemption' for Jax but showing us more of who he really is!

Jax. Absolute walking red flag. 🚩 I knew he was trouble the second he opened his mouth and I LOVED every second of it. Dark, messy, infuriating… and somehow exactly what Ally needed. Heart in my throat, swooning at all the wrong moments, begging for more. Flawed didn’t just pull me in, it dragged me in and refused to let go.

Flawed by Margaux Paris is an engaging and well-crafted novel that holds the reader’s attention throughout. The plot twist is particularly effective, adding depth and surprise without feeling forced. The use of dual points of view is a strong feature of the book, allowing for a richer understanding of the characters and their motivations. This narrative approach enhances the emotional impact of the story and keeps the pacing steady and compelling. Overall, Flawed is an enjoyable and thoughtfully written read that I would confidently recommend.

Firstly i want to say thank you to the wonderful Margaux for the opportunity to read her book Flawed which is the second book in the duet. I was so dang excited for this one to arrive in my email. Once it did i devoured it in one sitting. You know how you find books that are like crack and you cant get enough. Well this one is one of those.

Flawed continues to follow Ally and Jax. These two may be flawed my gosh is their story beautiful. The truth finally comes out. But can Ally handle it? You’re definitely going to want to read this one to find out.

These two both have baggage. Together they are helping each other heal and grow. Together they are stronger.

While this one deals with some heavy topics (make sure you check those trigger warnings) the ending was fabulous redemption is possible. Now yes, there were times i really wanted to punch Jax in the face. But slowly he healed my heart and made me swoon. There is something special about a psycho that instead of raising a red flag, the green goes up 🤭

I have now re added Jax back to my list of book boyfriends. He has also been living rent free for the last few weeks.

Once you have read book one Broken, grab your copy of Flawed.

Dark. Uncomfortable. Addictive.

Flawed by Margaux Paris is an emotionally fearless romance that dives headfirst into trauma, obsession, morality and connection without ever softening the edges. This is not a safe love story, it’s a raw one.

Jax is emotionally detached, a man who mirrors feelings without truly experiencing them… Ally is surviving, healing, and refusing to be defined by what happened to her — even as she’s pulled into a connection that feels dangerous, consuming and impossible to ignore.

What unfolds is a volatile push-and-pull of control and resistance, honesty and fear, desire and self-preservation. Every interaction crackles with tension as two deeply flawed people circle each other, forcing truths into the open neither of them is prepared for.

This book doesn’t ask you to like its characters, it asks you to understand them. It explores what happens when obsession turns into something more, when protection crosses lines, and when love refuses to fit inside neat moral boxes.

Unapologetically dark, emotionally complex, and impossible to look away. If you love romances that challenge you, unsettle you and still manage to find hope in the wreckage — Flawed delivers.

I am deeply uncomfortable with the way Jax treats Ally. I’m still not sure I’ve fully resolved how I feel about it.

He gets a huge redemption arc, and to his credit, Ally makes him work for every inch of it. Her growth in confidence and self-worth is so strong here, and I loved seeing her hold her ground. But the way he devastates her along the way? It made me sad. Their love story is definitely earned the hard way.

Yet, it feels real. Messy, heartbreaking, complicated. Flawed, broken people colliding and somehow finding a way to meet in the middle — pushing each other, for better or worse, toward something more.

As for Jax? Logical, responsible me is screaming, absolutely not. Stalking, coercive control, possessiveness, violence — all the red flags are waving 🚩
But then there’s this other part of my brain going, why is this kind of working for me?? I am torn.

Definitely recommend having this one ready to go straight after Book 1 — they’re quick reads, and you’ll want to keep going to see how it all plays out.

Flawed is the second book in this dark romance duet, told in first person from Ally’s and Jax’s POVs. I loved Broken… but I loved, loved, loved Flawed. 🖤

I can’t say too much without spoiling things, but here’s what I will say:
✨ Jax… his personality? Chef’s kiss. I adore him, even if I’m not sure I’m supposed to.
😂 There’s one scene at Ally’s house, just before she goes back home, I was in absolute stitches. Bloody brilliant.

This story had everything I could want, and it’s left me eagerly waiting for the next installment, which will follow Ally’s brother, Tyler (and maybe we’ll hear about Nate too 👀).

Also, Margaux Paris has special edition books with glittery sparkles (like Ally’s glittery shoes ✨). They are gorgeous, and I’m 100% saving up to add them to my collection.

Margaux Paris has officially climbed to the top of my author list. Thank you for giving me a story that helped me through one of my migraine episodes. 💜

I signed up for this, not knowing that it was actually the second book in the series. So I had to read the first one.The first one was so good.I read it all in one setting, and then I had a way to couple days for the arc which was killing me because it ended on a huge cliffinger.
This second book did not disappoint I. Also, read it all-in-one setting, ignoring my life and just so entranced in it. This story. I had such a love hate relationship with the main like male character after what he did, and he did, I definitely needed a very large redemption arc, and I feel like he really got it, i'm so happy for this ending and all the trauma healing, and it was such a good book, loved it.Loved it ♥️

Margaux you have done it again this book was incredible from start to finish absolute chief kiss. I loved being able to understand Jax's character in more depth especially how his mind works. I loved seeing Ally's confidence grow from book 1 to this book. Their relationship faced a few hurdles but honestly they were made each other with how Ally was patient with Jax and wanting him to be himself and not one of his charming personalities. Jax being Ally's safe place aswell as sticking up for her when needed. Did I run to my local indie book shop this morning so i can continue this series i sure did. Just like Broken (book 1), I read this in a day.

It just flows so smoothly, and it's easy to just devour chapter after chapter!

I enjoyed the trauma, the chaos, and the emotional journey for both of our MCs.

Ally: ...I don't know if clinging to the monster is safer than facing the dark alone.

These two MCs finding something within each other they so desperately need was so well written!

Jax: I'm the monster under the bed, the one you forget to fear until it's too late.

A psychopath and a trauma survivor...

This bar none one the series I have ever read. Like the Title the characters are so beautifully flawed. I don’t want to give to much away but I will say this you want to hate Jax but you can’t help but hate to love him what he does for Ally is so raw and beautiful. Ally is probably my favorite female character I have ever read. The things she goes through with her mother is gut wrenching. If are looking for a series that brings so many feelings and emotions this one is for you. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

“A psychopath and a trauma survivor walked into a bar”

Okay so; WTF happened to Jax from Broken? This book does a massive flip and all what I thought I knew in Broken - I definitely did not know! But of course; women like Ally (and myself apparently)

I love reading about broken characters and their growth; and I just love Jax 😍
I am really enjoying Ally and Jax and this series!

I thought book 1 was amazing... but this was SO much better. Honestly, Jax and Ally are everything and it's just so perfect and special and ahhhhh. Margaux's writing is incredible and so refreshing to read. I genuinely read this in a couple of hours and now am about to begin Book 3.

PHWOAR! I’m so glad I had this ready as soon as I finished book 1!!! Very well done and brought the story around to give us Jax’s POV. He’s a nutcase but in a quirky, goofy, needs to be part-time institutionalised sort of way 🤣
