This is easily my favorite of the Invincible spin-offs. I’ve said it before but it is legit Green Lantern merged with Spider-Man which is hilarious because Invincible is described by many as Superman mixed with Spider-Man. Of the 3 runs I would rank them as digital, original run, and then the last run. My big and really only lone criticism was the story of the last run but mainly the poly relationship of Zach, Lin, and Xi. Just was really odd and I don’t think it fit at all. The art in it was also terrific as the entire universe is. If you’re reading Invincible definitely check this out but again like the Invincible Universe compendium, it’s not MUST read

This compendium was a fun read. This book is a rare moment where i prefer the first half of the compendium reading through this book i really did really like zach thompson as the main character now i will get to the review. Thr first half was a really fun read the action was good the art was simple but i did like it. It felt like a cartoon like ben 10 come to think of it his origin was like ben 10 before ben 10. The space stuff was great. Also him fighting the evil invincibles varients was awesome mind you it was so short but still cool to see. Now for the second half i don’t really like the second half as much. First of all the art looks great it kinda reminds me of a anime. All im gonna say i don’t like this plot with thia rich dude trying to buy the tech jacket kinda ass this story line. The ending was great seeing tech jacket living off on a farm while still being tech jacket was cool. So this was a fun read 3/5 stars

This book has ZERO consistency when it comes to art, dialogue, and plot. But it was a fun time! From all the hype I have heard about Tech Jacket and seen in Invincible, I thought there would have been more...well, everything. The character development was thinner than an uncooked noodle and the plot was solid until Chapter 12, then it just got messy and inconsistent. Chapters 17-22 were fairly vague with the antagonist threats.

But now for some good:
This is a great entry level into comic books with some youthful positivity and hope, lovable characters, and some cool concepts around the technology and neighborly allies. Would like to see a reboot of this series with some more consistency. I feel like the potential of this series could be a blend of Iron Man/Spider-Man/Guardians of the Galaxy in terms of mood, but if they kept the gritty visuals of the Invincible Universe.

This book was so much fun reading. The entire of tech jacket himself is just so interesting. This book has some of the coolest action I’ve seen in a comic book so far and was a blast from start to finish. I do have one major issue with this book and that is a lack of character development. It feels like the book just keeps moving from cool action scene to cool action scene without slowing down to really develop Zach’s character, it almost makes the book feel a little hollow with not a whole lot of substance. Regardless it was still a really fun read.

This was a good time. Not quite four stars, but an enjoyable read. I wish it tied into the invincible comics a bit more than it did, though. I like that the comics told their own story for the most part, but there were plenty of times that it felt removed from the larger universe, and not in a good way. Still, I had a good time with it.

It was good but not amazing, probably my favourite of the invincible universe compendiums other than invincible itself. I thought the last few chapters/issues took an unexpected turn that dragged it down. With a different final stretch I think it could have been 5 stars.
