About the author

Matthew Skelton was born in the UK but spent most of his childhood in Canada. He started writing while working as a teaching assistant at the University of Mainz, continued when he came back to Oxford to work as a research assistant. In 2002 he won Richard and Judy's short story competition. Endymion Spring is his first novel.

I read the first edition, but this update improves the clarity of how Team Topologies works. It also has a bunch of case studies that help add the next best thing to lived experiences to the work.

I've used Team Topologies and found the exercise of thinking, mapping, and talking through how teams are designed to be a crucial process. This second edition is a great way to assemble a very neat tool set to use when you do it.

There's just a handful of interaction modes and team types, but they can be combined in powerful ways.

Works well with techniques like value stream management.
