Trochu som sa v pribehu stracala (priznavam, ze to moze byt tym, ze obcas citam uz so zatvorenymi ocami od unavy). A dom za to, aby sa brat Artur stal jednoh z patraciek!

One of my least favourite in this series (next to the Huge Hair Scare book).
Why? The plot was good, the characters were good, but the mystery way too easy. As soon as that person was introduced and we were told some stuff about that person, I knew it was them. And sadly (I love twists), it was all true. Which is a shame. I like figuring out stuff, puzzling, connecting the dots, but with this one it wasn't necessary, the only thing I found out was that it was truly that person. :(
The characters (especially Mariella, because Poppy is just a bit too much at times) were great. It was really fun to read them juggle between school work and investigating stuff.
Arthur was once again annoying and I wish he would just be gone out of the story. I know I said that Mariella had to be nicer to him in previous reviews. Well I am retracting that statement. Dear Lord, that kid is annoying and really doesn't get the hint it seems. I know, he is 5. But come on.
The plot was still fun, even if I knew the whodunnit and the why they would do it, I like that they spend a lot of time at the museum, it seems like such an interesting museum. I wish I could also go and visit it. Though I have no interest in scary poodles.
The illustrations were fun (as expected) and they gave more dimension to the story. I really like the Youth Sleuth book pages that were added to the book, it gave us some more fun information and fun facts.
All in all, I would still recommend this book, even if the mystery was super easy.

The Curse of the Pampered Poodle is a funny mystery story starring Mariella Mystery and her friends (the Mystery Girls). The Mystery Girls are trying to find out whether the famously cursed poodle is actually cursed at all!
Although I don't think this is the best Mariella Mystery book, kids will love reading this fast paced story. The mystery element of this book is less exciting compared to other Mariella Mystery stories, but the format of this book still makes it an easy and enjoyable read. The pages are laid out like a diary, with lots of illustrations and text broken into paragraphs. Because of this, the Mariella Mystery stories would be suitable for a wide range of children to read, especially those who may struggle to pay attention to books.
This book is also accessible to many ages. The diary format and illustrations help to make the book easier to read. On the whole, the language used in this book is simple, and difficult words or phrases are given a definition that children will understand. This book is perfect for children to read independently, although it is enjoyable enough for parents to also enjoy reading it with their children.
Ideal for: children aged 7-12 years old, including children who struggle to concentrate when reading.
