We discovered these disturbing and insatiable questions when she was MINE. These questions have each been answered . Perhaps not the way one wanted or expected but with the clever mind of Summer Riley could we have expected anything else.
As expected she took us on a twisted complex tale of self discovery, love lost and love found as well as what truly makes a family. She did warn all readers in advance that we would be stepping into a dark world that not only would deal with the outside world of her MC’s but the dark places a mind can get lost in as well as what they did to quell the dark needs they had.
She wrote this complex world of killers, mafia, gangs and the general world that is just out of the light of “regular people” she took a pregnant woman with dark secrets off her own and tossed her to a psychopath in MINE. Kade followed her immediately after the conclusion of MINE working to ensure her safety and that of his child in a world that Lexi had barely scratched the surface of. But, unfortunately it notices her.
The psychological damage the two have been dealt in life has put a rift in their minds that in the end agree on two things only 1.) The love they have for one another 2.) The love of their child . The child who is a shining light in all the darkness they fought through to achieve their kind of HEA.
This was the perfect conclusion for these three characters some may not see it as a HEA but that doesn’t matter because it’s their HEA. Summer has ultimately brought the thrilling Dark romance to a conclusion that truly fits the two characters in the end.

ive really enjoyed this duet. im diagnosed with OSDD and I understand a lot of people with dissociative disorders like mine do not like when DID/OSDD is used in thriller media to depict a criminal. I get that, however this duet has a special place in my heart because I can relate to Lexi and Nikki. Lol NO im not a criminal. I dont murder people 🤣 however I do have an alter that I struggle with a LOT. ive hated her for so long for being "the bad one". basically blaming her for all the self destructive behaviors in our brain. but something that I came to realize was i had very similar thoughts and feelings. my alter was simply the one who wasnt ashamed of it. I was ashamed. I think her accepting who she is really angered me. made me push her away harder which only made her push back harder. I see this dynamic in Lexi and Nikki. yes nikki is the one who was killing all of those men in book one. however by the end of book two its become very clear that lexi harbors a lot of those same desires. hers may be fueled by revenge but she still enjoys the kill much like nikki. watching her and nikki grow to accept one another and almost become friends was kind of therapeutic for me. its the same journey im on. learning to accept my alter AND myself for how we are, has made her calm down. A LOT. I think in the end nikki just felt lonely and persecuted. having lexi accept her made her less angry and hateful towards lexi. it made lexis life a little easier.
aside from all of that, I really just enjoyed the twists in this duet. reading chapter one in book one, I never wouldve guessed how this whole thing would end. this duet has a very special place in my heart.

OURS is a chokehold of a second in this duet. This novel will masterfully blends dark romance, psychological complexity, and so many twists. It’s a must-read for fans of stories that challenge the mind and captivate the heart.
That HEA? Absolutely worth it. This story will pick up right from where MINE left off, so you must read the first before beginning this book.

A Dark, Toxic, Meant To Be Kind of Love!
In Ours, book 2 of the Possession Duology, we realize that monsters really do recognize monsters.
Picking up at the cliffhanger where we left off in Mine (book 1), our FMC is once again dragged into the darkness, only this time, it's our MMC's morally black underworld, where she just so happens to fit in perfectly.
More than he even knows.
Ours takes us on a well-written third-person POV journey of coming to terms with the darkness inside and finding someone in the world with whom we can share it and who will protect us at all costs. The third-person POV is essential for the complicated characters in this story. It highlights the character's reactivity as well as their detachment from recognizing what exactly is setting them off in any given moment.
Once the relationship begins to move beyond their initial obsessions, trust is formed, vulnerabilities are shared, and the possibility of a future they never thought was possible becomes something they both want to protect with their lives.
This is very much a two wrongs actually DO make a right kind of situation.

This story picks up right where MINE left off. I really cannot say much because I will give too much away. Just know you are in for a rollercoaster ride and I needed a tissue at the end. Both Lexie and Kade have traumatic and toxic pasts/family situations. Their relationship is riddle with doubt, mistrust but so much love. They are put through the ringer during this book and the spice if holy moley... 100% spicy!
If you are a fan of dark romance, I promise you will not be disappointed at all!

The second and final part of the Possession Duology, Ours packs a punch in less than 300 pages. Kade, Demetri, Lexi, and Nikki are back - with a vengeance. I don’t usually care for a pregnancy trope, but I loved this story. Riley draws you in and then just when you think you know what may happen, bam another twist! And I am here for it! This power couple Lexi and Kade have such sweet sides, you kind of find yourself ignoring the fact that they are serial unalivers. I was rooting for them to be together the entire time and that HEA was on point. The spice is spicing and the murder is murdering - if you like dark romances with a laundry list of triggers, this is the one you need.

Ours kicks off immediately following Mine and oh my what a follow up! Our fave people, Kade and Lexi are back and just as unhinged, distrustful and in love as before. The chemistry between the two feels like it gets stronger with every page but they are both still dealing with their toxic pasts. As before Summer keeps you hooked from the very start and hoping for this complex pair to finally get their HEA. Again it’s a dark dark romance with layers upon layers of psychological twists and turns leaving you surprised on every page.
A perfect end to this duet. Just like MINE I am shouting for everybody to read OURS

OURS is the ending to a deliciously dark duology. Summer has really done it again with her story. She has such a gift keeping you in the edge of your seat as you explore the mind of two broken people who are trying to battle their inner demons.
Moreover, this story has some incredibly unique plot twists that are so different than other stories in the genre. If you want to explore a a dark romance from an up and coming author. I don't understand why this author and this series get so much hate. It's like people completely forgot that 3rd person pov has always existed. ANYWAYS
This book is amazing. The continued storyline, the action, the PASSION 🔥❤️ Ugh, chef's kiss. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster through all the feels. The ending is perfect and it's completely worth the read for such a poetic finale.

If you haven’t read Mine first, you really need to start there. You will not understand the dynamics and you will miss oh so much. That being said, this book…I finished in a freaking day! Couldn’t put this down. It has everything you want. The darkness, the psychological drama, unhinged main characters, and an oh so perfect HEA (the main characters style).
This duology is one you don’t want to miss reading, but be mindful of your triggers. Happy reading!

Book two "Ours" is one HELL of a Rollercoaster compared to "Mine" and it will not disappoint you reader.
"Ours" starts where "Mine" finishes (a cliffhangerrrrr ofc) the spice is spicing in this one and so is the unaliving of lives!
The HEA is very approved 🙌 I loved the journey to it and i'm sad this is the end!

This was such a well written mafia story! I loved the cr@ziness of main characters and their alter egos. The story is a psychological thriller where he falls hard without return. Despite the trials they both face, they find within themselves to fight for each other.

Summer wasted no time jumping right in with where the first book MINE left off, and for that i was absolutely grateful for. I needed Kade ASAP.. i missed that bad boy so badly! *giggles* This book had me screaming, crying and cheering.. with how many twisted and crazy turns there was for both Kade and Lexi their love story is my favorite. I loved this whole series!! Words truly cant explain!!

This was a thrilling, sexy, part two with many twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew what would happen I was surprised with something different. I really enjoyed the pace and action in this book. What will she do to protect her baby…? It’s a fast read! You continue to turn the page wanting to know what happens.
