Fixer-Upper for Christmas

Rate this book
A cozy home renovation sparks love just in time for Christmas.
I never expected to spend Christmas in Holly Ridge, yet here I am in my grandmother's old house—my inheritance and unexpected fresh start.

Buried under career disappointments, I'd hoped this quiet town might rekindle my writing spark.

Then Eli Barton walks through the door, toolbox in hand, hired to transform my new home. Talented and reliable, he captivates me with glimpses of depth behind his professional facade, even as he carefully maintains his distance.

As we select paint colors and restore woodwork, something unexpected builds between us.

With Christmas approaching, my heart feels as fragile as the ornaments hanging on my tree. Can Eli and I turn this house into a home—or will my stalled writing career and his guarded past keep us from the love we both need?

First of all, this is a charming, sweet, cozy, quick read from author Ruby Hill. In other words, everything I have come to expect from this author. I really did enjoy this one.

The FMC, Melody, is a writer with more than just writers block, she feels stagnant in her life.

The MMC, Eli, is the town handyman, and is skittish about his romantic life after coming out of a toxic relationship.

There is a meet-cute, a push from Melody’s grandmother and a lot of misunderstandings between the two before they finally get their HEA.

If you like Ruby Hill, this is a no-brainer, get the book. If you haven’t read anything by the author yet, and want something wholesome and sweet, this is a good one to start with.

I received an advanced reader copy of “Fixer Upper For Christmas” from Booksprout but all opinions are my own.

I am so happy I decided to pick this book up!

This was such a sweet and heartwarming short story.

I fell in love with Eli and Melody the second they were both introduced.

Their backstory, and the things they were struggling with was really interesting to read about.

The way our main characters relationship evolved through this story was beautiful.

The dynamic and the whole plot had me hooked. I totally adored everything with this books

Ruby Hill once again comes out with such an amazing story. I can’t wait to read more from her!

Melody inherits her grandma’s cabin in Holly Ridge and decides to spend Christmas there. Not knowing that grandma had pre-arranged to have Eli repair the house, Melody is shocked when she sees Eli standing in the house. Although they have feelings for each other, Eli has an issue with his ex. Will he move on and build a life with Melody or will he let this opportunity pass him by? What a great book that was hard to put down. This was a very entertaining story and the series is fantastic.

After the death of her grandmother, Melody inherits her grandma's fixer upper cabin. Eli is the local handyman who is hired, in an interesting way, to fix up the cabin. I loved Eli and Melody's small town, slow burn romance. It's a sweet novella with likable characters who had me cheering them on to get their happily ever after. Fixer-Upper for Christmas is book ten and a sweet addition to the Holly Ridge Christmas series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Better if read in order due to some of the characters overlapping but can be read as a standalone. She's there for her grandma's funeral. Finding out she was named in the will was a surprise. He's hired by her grandma to help. Due to his ex he's hesitant to try again. Will this be what she needs for her career? What will it take for them to give a relationship a chance?.

Have a tissue handy for the three hours you allow for this sweet, clean, wholesome, contemporary, small-town Christmas romantic novella about 29-year-old writer's blocked novelist Melody Lane and the fixer-upper her grandmother Lucy bequeathed her in Holly Ridge, Montana.
I had an ARC via Booksprout. and this is my voluntary review.
