She's a thief. He's the museum security guard. His son wants to set them up. What could possibly go wrong?

It’s every thief’s dream to receive an invitation to the yearly heist competition, so when Sable is invited to participate in this Easter’s game to steal the famed Golden Egg from the Fae Museum, she’s determined to be the winner. There’s only one problem, and it’s not the other competitors, the impossible surveillance, or the magic-laced traps. It’s the museum’s new security guard… the very handsome ex-special forces security guard who’s trouble in more ways than one.

Cash has been a single father for the past ten years, so when the opportunity arises to leave the military and work closer to home, he jumps at the head of security position. The constant break-in attempts don’t bother him. He loves a challenge, especially when he can be home for dinner. But his greatest challenge is not falling head over heels for the woman his son introduced him to. His kid wants him to date, but as an immortal Fae, he can’t fall for the pretty yet mortal human who just moved to town, no matter how much his son pushes them together.

But everything changes the night of the museum gala. Dangerous players enter the game, secrets are revealed, and a threat to everything Cash loves ruins any chance at happiness Cash and Sable had… until Sable confesses one final secret. A secret that might turn this Easter Egg Hunt into a Happily Ever After for the whole family.

Happy Hunting is book 4 in the interconnected stand alone Season's Readings Series. Perfect for readers who want fantasy and not romcoms at the holidays, this single dad, Easter heist romance is meant for mature readers. Please see the author's note inside for more information.

Happy Hunting is an Easter themed seasonal book, perfect for mood readers or girls like me who love holiday themed books!!

Sable is an Easter Bunny and a thief. One of the best and well known theifs. This year HE sends her an invite to participate in the annual heist. Only the BEST get an invitation and this is her first time. They’re still a Golden Egg sculpture that’s been recently placed at a Fae Museum after being missing for a long time. It’s almost unattainable and the rewards is LARGE!! Many are going to attempt to steal it, but it’s guarded by an ex special forces warrior who is Fae. Turns out the guard is also drop dead sexy and Sable is immediately drawn to him. Will she choose the golden egg or the guard?

This was such a cutesy, fun read for Easter. Lots of season characters but the Main FMC is an Easter Bunny, as in Human looking with soft ears and characteristics such as speed and the ability to hop from buildings and hear very well. The MMC is a Fae ex special forces warrior. This is a nice slow burn romance, you’ll get all your spice at the though. Found family in a sense, Sable and Cash and Clover find family in each other. Very cute book!!

2.5⭐️
I thought about dnfing this book but it was so short I thought I’d just push through. The ending did get better which is why I upped it to 2.5 stars Overall I don’t think it was a good book. I HATE when the main character internally sobs about how they can never be together, how he’s her soulmate but it could never work out. This was the main freaking theme to this book. Honestly if I took a drink every time she reminded us how their “relationship” was just going to end I would have been stumbling drunk by the end of this book.
There was no real chemistry between the characters. I mean they said the right things but it just felt flat. Like someone who was rehearsing a script but didn’t have their heart in it.
The kid was cute, the storyline was pretty good. It was honestly the characters themselves that just didn’t do it for me. The writing as well, which is weird bc I’ve read other books from this author (under her different name) that I truely enjoyed.
Also she had 2 sets of ears which was just weird.

This was such a fantastic read. Such a cute spicy rom com, perfect for Easter. I usually don’t enjoy the kids in books but Clover is absolutely adorable. The father/son relationship was so pure and wholesome. This story had the perfect amount of action and danger and the spicy level was ✨chefs kiss✨ I highly recommend checking this book out and any other of her works!
