Your Silent Yes

Rate this book
Three women. Three perspectives. One chilling truth lurking just beneath the surface.
After the tragic death of her partner, Bonnie Bellington moves to the industrial heat of Gladstone for a fresh start. But when a co-worker’s attention turns dark, Bonnie finds herself documenting every unwanted gift, every late-night message, every escalating violation. She knows how these stories end, and she’s not about to become another headline.
Across the state, Dr. Denia Ward lectures in criminology by day and battles her own haunting memories by night. When she encounters Bonnie’s case, something about it doesn’t sit right. As Denia digs deeper, she begins to question not just the system, but her own instincts.
And then there’s Lillian. Charming, intuitive, elusive. She’s everything her partner ever wanted and more than he bargained for.
Your Silent Yes is a dark and addictive thriller that explores how politeness can become a prison, how systems protect the wrong people, and how silence can be the most dangerous weapon of all. Because sometimes, the scariest monsters are the ones we welcome in.

Jacquie Underdown is back after a break from writing.
Her new book is a sleek, menacing and engaging psychological thriller with suspicious characters and the ‘jaw hits the floor’ twist.
Bonnie, Dr Denia and Lillian, three women with different points of view and their worlds are about to collide.
But there’s only one truth that will be revealed.
Sometimes we already know the villain and the demons are not far away.
Danger, deception, dishonesty and fear are all top of the list.
A domestic suburban melodrama with sinister vibes and thrilling moments.
I didn’t guess this at all which is the sign of great writing, clever plotting and evil atmosphere.
Intense, exciting, fun, complex and very interesting.
With unimaginable drama and lots of intrigue, this book is one that will stimulate your reading mind.
Jacquie is back with a writing vengeance and I hope we readers get more of her addictive reads.

Great thriller with a great twist

You follow a victim of stalking and a college professor of criminology. The professor also had a family member murdered with no resolve for her murder. The nice little twist towards the end of the book was unexpected. I really enjoyed this book!

An exceptionally engrossing entangled story never let you know the direction until towards the end, makes me wonder about personalities and predicaments!

I was not expecting the twist! One thing I disliked about the book is the frequent change of narrator and point of view. It was confusing.
