She saved my life. It's only fair that I save hers, even if she doesn't want me to. Arabella I'm losing my hearing, so I've learned to read lips to help me cope in my soon to be silent world. When I see two men discussing their plan to murder another guest at this event, I have to warn him. I should have minded my own business.
Logan This clever wee thing races up to me, all earnest and concerned about my safety. Her huge brown eyes staring up into mine are making me feel things. Filthy things. My family calls me reckless and unhinged, but taking her isn't reckless. She was mine from the moment I saw her.
Recklessly Mine is a dark Scottish Mafia Romance with no cheating and a HEA.
Ehhh, as usual the storytelling was humorous and the chapter titles were witty and hilarious. It deals with a serious topic (human organ trafficking), but the writing style probably helped so as for this not to come off as too hard and depressing.
But this book follows the usual recipe found in the other works I've read by this author (not that there are many).
〰️ It was insta-lust turned into a quickie wedding (as in a matter of days of knowing each other). 〰️ With an inexperienced FMC (Arabella, 24), usually it's a freaking virgin (which I avoid most times), but I guess it's a small mercy that she was not, but of course, she had only been with one man. 🥴 〰️ While I didn't like her being inexperienced, I'm glad she's a woman who can take things in stride. She's calm and collected for someone newly thrown into this world of crime and violence. She's levelheaded most times, especially in those scenes when it probably would've been shocking to a normal person. She also knows how to fake confidence and learn to present herself as one despite her nervousness. In short, thank gawd she's not a dumb doormat. 〰️ Then, as the typical cliché goes, she's paired with a freaking manwhore (Logan, 28), who suddenly decided to become a one-woman man because of her. 🤷♀️ Again, another small mercy that we aren't reminded too much of his whorish ways. His past was only mentioned a handful of times, which was the most I could tolerate. His family members will also have some insights on this lifestyle. 〰️ Of course, with his reputation, there will be some mild OW in the sense that his previous hookups (3 OW in this case) will appear and show what a fuckboy he is (or was). They will also make a fuss because he's now off the market. But don't worry, Bella's understanding and accepting of his past. She actually didn't give too much thought to it. 🤷♀️ 〰️ There's also too much smut in this book. I don't remember reading this much spice in her other works, but my memory might be wrong. 〰️ Oooh, let's not forget the ever-present body-betraying syndrome. She will get angry or annoyed about something he did without asking for her opinion, but all of that will just be forgotten because he's so hot and handsome, and he surely knows how to use his magical dong. 〰️ But don't fret because while he's an overbearing jerk who tends to do things on a whim, he could be sweet and attentive if he really wanted to. Apparently he's a devoted husband who only wants the best for his wife. And lucky for him, all his gestures were always appreciated by her. 〰️ And lastly, the family aspect—connection, shenanigans, and teamwork—is what I love most about her stories. How these people are really close and work so well all the time. If you're part of this clan, they will always have your back, and that's really nice to have. I also appreciate how they 100% welcome new family members into their fold and how they're willing to adjust to make them feel accepted (they learned sign language for her).
Overall, it's a superficial read, with half of it being planning how to take down the trafficking ring and half of it being the MCs going at it like bunnies. If readers don't want anything serious and comical in terms of storytelling, maybe they could pick this up.
Book info: - Insta-lust - Strangers to lovers - Organized crime - Disability rep (Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder) - Sign Language - Human organ trafficking - Mention of human trafficking - Kidnapping - Violence, death - No cheating, real OM/OW, separation - No V (h - 1 bf, H - manwhore 🤢) - Steaaamy! - HEA ( 15 mos later, second wedding with 6 mos old son)
Note: - OW. Three past hookups appeared at their first event as husband and wife. One tried to kiss him, but he avoided it and introduced Bella as his wife. The OW didn't believe it at first, but seeing their rings, she eventually did and left with some colorful words. The other two were also attendees but didn't cause any drama (they glared at Bella, though). But the MCs left the event with Logan having a wine-stained shirt. So I'm going to assume one of those women (or both of them) did that.

This author was a great surprise. Even with the instalove / love at first sight, the stories have the perfect balance of plot, smut and action.
In this on particularly the H is a big marshmallow. The family is totally extra, but I like that every side characters even if very briefly has her personality flesh out, and is not "just" a name.
DNF @ 14%. The Scottish accent did me in—-I just couldn’t read it anymore…the story wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t exciting enough for me to continue reading.
I’m a huge fan of Arianna Fraser, and Recklessly Mine reminded me exactly why. This dark Scottish mafia romance is intense, emotional, and impossible to put down. Arabella is losing her hearing and has learned to read lips to cope. At a party, she catches two men plotting a murder and warns the target—Logan MacTavish. That moment changes her life forever. Logan, reckless and obsessive like any true MacTavish, sees her and instantly decides she’s his. What follows is a fast-paced story involving kidnapping, a horrifying organ trafficking ring, and a wild, steamy night that ends in marriage. Yes—marriage. Because Logan doesn’t do halfway. I loved Arabella’s strength and her transformation from a reluctant outsider to someone who actively helps the MacTavish clan take down a monstrous network. Her "superpower" makes her a vital part of the fight. And Logan? He’s everything—possessive, protective, and deeply loyal. He pushes Bella to believe in herself and never hesitates to save her, again and again. The inclusion of on hard-hitting themes like hearing loss and organ trafficking added real emotional weight to the plot. It was heartbreaking, eye-opening, and handled with care. We also get to reunite with characters from previous books (and coming books, I’m sure), which is always a bonus! And Bella reminded me a little bit of Fee from Captivated—driven by a need to do good. Absolutely loved it. 5 stars. Highly recommended! Can't wait for the next heir or heiress book!!!.

ARC Review of ‘Recklessly Mine’ by Arianna Fraser.
Wow! The stories of the MacTavishes keep getting better and better! In this 3rd instalment of the MacTavish heirs, we follow the story of Logan and Arabella. Arabella is slowly losing her hearing, so she will be relying on sign language and lip reading. One night at an event she sees two men planning to kill Logan so she warns him thwarting the assasination. But now they are after her. Now it’s time for Logan to save her from an organization that handles in some super shady business, which brings her and other people in grave danger.
Arabella’s character is sweet, fierce, she is smart and witty. Logan is a typical MacTavish, big, strong, protective and so inlove with his Bella, he would walk through fire for her. Even their chemistry is fire, but it also has lots of funny moments which keeps the story fun to read. Their 🌶️ is deliciously written, I can’t expect anything less from Arianna 🫢🫢 I love how side characters from the other books are all interwoven to support the main MMC and FMC. So many funny moments from their sides too to keep the atory kight at just the right timings.
My overall review is a well deserved 5/5⭐️ on all fronts! Cannot wait to read the last instalment!
If you love great, romantic crime stories with Scottish hunks, then The MacTavish Heirs series should definitely be on your TBR list.
I still feel like I’m in a bit of a time warp, reading the MacTavish Heirs series, because it still feels like the original MacTavish stolen brides series was said in the presence so this must be set in the future. But aside from that bit of confusion, this was a wonderful book. Arabella is so sweet and the book, when it’s not being horrifying, is so funny, the plot is so satisfying, and the explosions are so explosive. I love the way Arabella‘s lip reading ability is so crucial, into her relationship with Logan is a delight.

Recklessly Mine by Arianna Fraser is Book 3 of The MacTavish Heirs Series. This is the story of Arabella and Logan. Arabella is working as a waitress at a event when she sees two men talking. They are talking about taking someone out. Arabella finds that man who is Logan and lets him know. This ends up putting Arabella in danger which leads to Logan coming to her rescue. Enjoyed this book.
MY OH MY!!!! I thought I loved all the MacTavish but Logan is sooooo hot🥵 Really, I was all in for Lachlan but…..🫠 This story was a roller coaster ride! So many ups and downs!!! I even ugly cried at the end 🥹 The relationship between Arabella and Logan is so beautiful! Seeing that man fall so bad for her, helping her through this ordeal because she saved him from being killed , is overwhelming! If you like all the MacTavish like I do, this book is a must read!!! The best book in this series so far and it’s not even close 😍

This is my first Arianna Fraser novel, but it won’t be my last. I loved the two main characters and meeting all the side characters. The mystery element kept me invested as well as their relationship. I need to go back and read the original families novels now.
I loved the little previews at the beginning of the chapters.
I love all of Arianna Fraser’s books, but this my favorite. The research she does to flesh out her characters to make everything about them as real to you as possible. It is so easy to become invested in everything they go through. I highly recommend this book and all her others.
I just loved arabella and Logan! The MacTavishes were fantastic in how they dealt with Bella's hearing loss. I think Arianna portrayed it spectacularly and I honestly hope we get to see them in the next book because I fell in love with this couple Logan is a next level maniac who's both crazy energetic and lovingly sweet. They both fit so well
Loved watching these characters come to life. It started with being a Good Samaritan then suddenly she’s whisked into a mafia world and a Scottish’s dream boat.
Never enough stars for an Arianna Fraser book. The MacTavishes (or was it MacTavi) are my favourite mafia family. Glad there are so many of them! Fun, fast-paced plot, cameos by all the family members, perfect amount of spice and do t forget the Scottish accent!
Recklessly Mine by Arianna Fraser is a book in The MacTavish Heirs series. This is a dark Scottish mafia romance. I adore Logan & Arabella! Their journey to their HEA is a mystery & action filled romance. Your going to love it, too!
This book was great. I was constantly chuckling at parts. Logan and Arabella are a great couple and meant for each other. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series. I love the MacTavish family.
This book was just awesome. This is a continuation from the McTavish brothers, these stories are about their children who are just as crazy as their fathers. The plot and characters are very well written. The h overhears two men plotting to kill the H. She warns him, later she is almost kidnapped by those men. He saves her from a group who was going to harvest her organs. There’s twist and turns, also the h is losing her hearing but that doesn’t stop her from living her life. I couldn’t put it down. Each chapter was better than the last. They fell in love and it was so beautiful. Great epilogue.
She reads lips because she's losing her hearing. He got tattoos for each guy he killed who tried to kill the heroine. And he's got a piercing that the heroine enjoys.
it takes a little while to get used to the writing since Fraser writes in Scottish slang (dinnae/ canna/ lass etc) although she does translate any phrases and words at the end of each chapter. Once you get past that (i actually like it since it forces you to hear the accent in the characters, rather than imagining it in yours head and perhaps not getting the right sounds), the story was really cute and funny, and i like how strong the MFC was given her situations, illness, and struggles.
This was such a good story. Even while having some dark romance aspects, the main character is so sweet and good to his wife. I liked how the author wrote an FMC with a disability without making her seem helpless, while still acknowledging her struggles and the pain that comes with it.
This was my first Scottish Mafia book and I can say it didn’t disappoint. The Scottish slang was very comedic and made both of the MCs very entertaining.
