Overview of Eden’s Awakening Eden thought her life was ordinary—a quiet existence as a hairdresser in a small town, far removed from the extraordinary. But her world turns upside down when she meets Soren, a man whose piercing silver eyes seem to see straight into her soul. Drawn to him by an inexplicable force, Eden finds herself caught in a whirlwind of passion and danger, unaware of the dark truths that lie just beneath the surface. Soren is no ordinary man—he’s a vampire, burdened by a past riddled with betrayal and a maker who will stop at nothing to bring him back under her control. Despite his resolve to keep Eden safe, his feelings for her grow, putting her squarely in the crosshairs of his world’s most dangerous players. As their connection deepens, Eden’s curiosity about Soren’s true nature leads her to uncover the reality of vampires and their hidden world. She is thrust into a deadly game of power and survival as Lysandra, Soren’s vengeful maker, emerges to reclaim him. Lysandra’s obsession knows no bounds, and her wrath threatens not only Soren but everyone he holds dear—including Eden. The story builds to a dramatic and bloody climax as Soren, Eden, and their allies—Lily and Kara—face off against Lysandra in a battle for freedom and love. Betrayals, sacrifices, and impossible choices define their journey, leading to a final confrontation where Soren and Eden must risk everything to end Lysandra’s reign once and for all.
Eden’s Awaking is a slow burn but so well worth the read. This book is the best fantasy with vampires that I had read since Stephanie Meyers Twilight Series and P.C. Cast The House Of Nights series. So I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of either of these authors. I would love to see it made into to a show one day. And this is just the first book of this serious. I can’t wait for more. This will definitely be better than the show True Blood aka Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.
No spoilers, but I swear to god I wasn’t ready for that ending.
Eden’s Awakening pulled me in and didn’t let go. I thought I had a handle on where it was going, but the last few chapters completely floored me. I was pacing the room, genuinely stressed. I felt awkward for them, shouting at the book like it could hear me. And then Lysandra shows up, calm as you like, and I honestly wanted to scream. She's the kind of character that makes your jaw clench every time she walks in.
Eden is brilliant. Messy, hurting, smart, and still trying, even when everything’s falling apart. She’s got this raw honesty about her that hits hard. And Soren... He’s intense in that quiet, heavy way. You can tell there’s so much going on beneath the surface, and every little moment with him felt like it mattered. The way they move around each other, the things left unsaid—it’s emotional, complicated, and so well done.
The romance is a slow build, but it simmers the whole way through. You feel it creeping in, getting heavier, and when things finally shift, it hits. It’s not just about tension or attraction—it’s layered with history, pain, and choice. You get the sense that nothing about them is easy, but it still feels real.
Blair Reed has a way of writing that makes you care deeply and then leaves you gutted in the best kind of way. I was in bits by the end. Fully sat there staring at the wall wondering what just happened and when I can get the next one.
If you're into stories with depth, messy characters figuring themselves out, and endings that don’t play it safe, you’ll want to read this. I swear to god, I’m still not over it. I blame Roma lol
Let me just say this: Eden’s Awakening does not ease you into the ending—it rips you apart. The last two chapters? Emotional torture. Pure, unrelenting heartbreak. I was pacing. I was embarrassed for them. And then Lysandra—that wretched snake—slithers in like the human embodiment of betrayal, and I swear I saw red. Blair Reed is ruthless in the best way. Just when you think Eden and Soren have finally found a rhythm, everything is shattered. It’s beautiful. It’s horrifying. It’s the exact kind of emotional sabotage I crave in dark fantasy romance. Eden remains one of my favorite heroines—sharp, vulnerable, always one breath away from setting the world on fire. And Soren? He is both weapon and wound. Their dynamic is so layered, so charged, it hurts.
If you’re into: morally gray devotion power plays wrapped in slow-burn tension final chapters that leave you wrecked and villains you want to punch through the page (Lysandra, I’m looking at you)
If you like Vampires and a little less vulgar intimacy scenes this book is great. The slow burn, different points of view and character development was great throughout the book. I think with some additional editing and proofreading this book could have some major success. It was different from your usual Vampire stories and I could say I want more out of it. There is some profanity but it really is minimal with how much is in the book. I think the author has great linguistic flair and uses a variety of different words to describe things in a great way. I can’t rate this book lower because I know it could be so much more.
Ok. I did not see that ending!! This was my first vampire read, and I loved it. This to me was insta love.
Eden is a normal girl who feels like she is being watched. When she figures out who is watching, she is instantly drawn and feels connected to him. Soon, she finds ouIt who he really is.
The last 30% of the book was a rollercoaster!! I did not see any of it coming, and it made me keep turning the page to see what happens next!! I will definitely be reading the next book!!! Definitely recommend it if you dont mind the fowl language.
Eden’s Awakening is a thrilling mix of romance, danger, and the supernatural. Eden and Soren’s connection is electric, and the stakes only rise as she uncovers his dark secret. With a fierce villain in Lysandra and a fast-paced plot full of twists, this book kept me hooked until the very end. A must-read for fans of vampire romance with real depth and action!
I will have to read again and update this later. It was hard to focus on the story with all the f-bombs... and the location and POV changes on the same page without breaks. Thought it might be a script converted to novel sometimes.
Needs a proofreader and an editor. Feels like it was taken out of the oven too soon. Great potential but there was still batter on the toothpick. :/
Edens Awakening features an engaging storyline, intriguing characters, and a quick-paced plot that could keep readers engaged even more so if it were better executed.
A blend of romance, danger, and the supernatural, with Eden and Soren's connection, Soren's secret, and the stakes associated with it, it leaves you needing more. The story builds to a dramatic climax with betrayals, sacrifices, and a fight for freedom and love.
Eden is an FMC that you'll want to keep reading about. Her relationship with everyone around her is tethered. She is a fighter even if she herself is falling apart. I adore her connection with her best friend.
Soren is deep trauma, intensity, and devotion. He's leashed by an unwanted bond he could never sever on his own.
The first quarter of the book was somewhat challenging to get through because of the excessive profanity used to express the depth of characters' emotions. However, after a new POV was introduced, the cursing decreased, allowing me to concentrate on the story without much trouble. The storyline is very fast-paced and has great potential to be a 5-star read, especially with some constructive feedback from readers to help the author in her future writings. I noticed several typos that could be resolved with a thorough proofread and careful editing before publication.
Blair Reed and Eden's Awakening have significant promise. Constructive feedback from readers and further refinement through proofreading and editing could pave the way for truly exceptional future works from the author.
