In the quiet coastal town of Shoreline, Ezra Moore lives a simple life among books, tea, and the comfort of routine. As a librarian, she prefers the predictable—small joys with her best friend, the hum of town life, and the occasional night out at their favorite bar. But when she meets Ozlan Prescott, everything changes.
The attraction between them is instant, electric—something more than just chemistry. It’s a spark, a rare and unbreakable connection that only a few vampires ever experience. And Ozlan isn’t just any vampire. He’s part of one of the four ruling covens of Shoreline, a world both feared and misunderstood by humans.
But beneath his charm and smoldering gaze, Ozlan harbors a dangerous secret—SunDust, the glittering, euphoric drug that numbs the darkness he refuses to face. Ezra has spent her life despising addiction ever since she lost her father to it. She doesn’t know about Ozlan’s struggle… yet.
As their connection deepens, the truth threatens to shatter everything. Will Ezra fight for the rare love they’ve found, guiding Ozlan toward change? Or will his demons and her past tear them apart—destroying their spark before it has a chance to burn?
Sundust is a dark, enthralling paranormal romance about love, addiction, and the choices that define us.

It had lots of funny moments for a vampire romance, and it’s very fun!
I loved the intertwining of addiction with the story, and how the recovery aspect was looked at positively, with the fmc even providing understand and a plan.
Sundust is the perfect cozy read to curl up with on a quiet evening immersive, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying from start to finish. Unlike many vampire stories, it skips the usual heavy lore, offering a refreshingly grounded take that feels reminiscent of Being Human, where vampires coexist seamlessly with humans.
Ezra and Ozlan’s story is one of love, addiction, and second chances, beautifully illustrating how the right person and the right reasons can inspire real change. Being an ARC reader for this was one of the most exciting things ever! The story was absolutely amusing to me. I loved that it was paranormal; somehow, it seemed so normal and "everyday" while reading it. The story was flowy and just super-duper cozy and comforting.
It's definitely different from the other paranormal romances out there! The world described in this book is just lovely and unique. I don't want to give out spoilers, but there are a lot of themes and genres seamlessly and beautifully explained. If you're looking for something new and a warm hug, this should be on top of your TBR!
I had the honor to ARC read “Sundust” by Laewyn Finch and oh my god you guys. Laewyn did NOT disappoint! From the best banter to spice and everything in between, this book has safely become one of my favorites! The sleepy town of Shoreline, filled with vampires and humans, will instantly draw you in. By the time you’re done with “Sundust” you’ll want to move there just to become friends with the incredible characters Laewyn brought to life. I will happily be reading this again, probably soon, and I cannot wait to get my physical copy for my bookshelf. Happy reading!

This book is a sweet little novella about Ez and Ozlan. Ez is a human and Ozlan is a vampire. These two are destined to be together but not without a few hurdles. I ate this book up in a day!
This book is short, spicy, and a testament to love prevailing and happy endings.
This story was both heart wrenching and heartwarming. I was on the edge of my seat for their HEA. The story was fantastic and touched on heavy themes in a thoughtful and hopeful way. The relationship between Ozlan and Ezra was so lovely. I fell in love with both MCs and all the characters in the story. The HEA made me feel so happy for this couple! This was a sweet quick read with lots of complexity of emotions. I can’t wait to read more of this world! Thank for the eARC!

Sundust is a sweet little novella romance where the supernatural science goes straight out the door and I. Am. Here. For. It.
Sundust follows our FMC Ezra and our MMC Ozlan. Ezra is our sweet human librarian. Ozlan, our vampire bartender.
In this universe, vampires can be born or made. They can go out in the daylight and can have babies. Need I say more?
But Shoreline is plagued by a supernatural drug called Sundust, and with meeting his 'spark', Ozlan is working on his sobriety to be the best 'spark' there is.
It's a super cute novella where we get to a human and vampire, fall in love, and face everyday challenges.

This book was beautiful. The struggles that both characters went through to finally be together was very poetic. And of course I always love a fated mate scenario!
I really enjoyed this short, spicy read. I loved the author's unique take on vampires which mixed some well known lore with some new surprises. The through line of addiction felt very real and I felt the characters navigated it well. Looking forward to more of this series!
This was a cute cozy read for a rainy or cold day! A sweet love story about overcoming obstacles and being honest! I think this was a realistic relationship story how it’s not a sunshine and rainbows and how communication is key to any healthy relationship and how healthy relationships can truly change someone for the better! Only complaint is I wish the story was longer I was left wanting more!
Such a cute small town romance between vampires and humans. I absolutely ate it up. Of course they did have their struggles in the relationship, but worked it out and I’m really happy with they it ended and can’t wait to see what happens next.
