not a great story

I love the idea of a story emphasizing the importance of truth, however, this story just wasn’t it. A town creates a monument made out of gold dedicated to “truth.” Over the years the monument tarnishes so the townsfolk paint it different colors. The actual story doesn’t really have to do anything with telling the truth or why truth or being true is so important. Very odd.

Never too young to read a story like this

Although a child may not fully comprehend the message of this story, planting the seeds of honesty and truth are priceless. There is a tinge of mystery throughout the developing narrative that will certainly captivate a young, curious mind. The illustrations add to making this a wonderful addition to any bedtime-story library.
