About the author

As an unashamed nerd, Jeff can usually be found gaming, adding to his prized Pokemon collection, or even forging entire worlds and encounters for he and his Dungeons & Dragons group.

Drawing inspiration from franchises such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and many others, Jeff has cultivated a love for the fantasy genre and all it has to offer. That love eventually manifested into his first literary work, The First Ember.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jeff comes from a small family made up of his younger sister and two incredible parents. He now resides in Kansas City with his wife, one sassy German Shepherd, and a crazy Labrador Retriever. Jeff’s hope is that he can continue creating stories that one day find their way into the hearts and homes of people everywhere.

I had such an incredible time writing this book. If you have a love for fantasy like I do, then I hope you enjoy reading this novel as much as I enjoyed creating it. Second book is in the works as we speak!
