About the author

Cami Checketts is a USA Today Bestselling author of over a hundred clean romance novels. Her journey began on an Idaho dairy farm daydreaming book ideas on her bike or tractor and landing herself in the hospital numerous times for head wounds. She settled down after college (retired the bike at least) to raise four crazy boys and write down all those fabulous ideas. Cami's life is busy but she thoroughly enjoys rarely living in reality.

Cami loves the Savior, her husband, her boys, her daughter-in-law, her grandson, traveling, chocolate, and exercise.

Cami does it again. Not only does she build these amazing world for her characters, but each character is well developed, making readers wanting to be their friends. Chase and the blindfold - so amazing. The suspense is great, making the page practically turn themselves. This read-in-one-setting book is one you don't want to miss. Perfect start to this series.

What a truly sweet story. 2 people from such challenging and hurtful childhoods have overcome the negative and turned it around into positives to help and protect others.
Chase goes into the military and
Learns the true meaning of protecting the underprivileged and most vulnerable people in society. Once out of the military, he takes on the position as a police officer once again in the role of hero and protector. He is a kind, sweet and lovable man and exactly the type of man Any woman who would be thrilled to have as a partner in life i just loved it when he would say I appreciate ya.
Lizzy is the example of a woman who has gone through severe trauma in her life but uses that to protect and nurture underprivileged children. This puts her in the danger zone, anytime a child is put in her care. She also suffers abuse because she is so kind and has been exposed to fake men who use her and take pleasure out of stripping her of her confidence by saying cruel things concerning her disability. She is one of the sweetest people, and I love it when she says, oh my gloriousness. So cute.
The authors descriptions of the area are so vivid, you could picture being there and just see yourself walking through the sights and sounds of Austria. Great story!

Chase: Faith Inspired Romance

We have another marvelous series beginning with “Chase”. Chase is a former Army Ranger who has left the service because of a mission gone wrong. Living a quiet life in Jade Valley as a member of the local Police Department is his norm until a longtime friend challenges him as well as the others in their close knit group to fall in love during a two week protection detail overseas. He agrees to the detail of protection but not the gratuity. Lizzy has the habit of choosing boyfriends that are abusive and manipulative. Then she was violently attacked by the father of a protected child in her charge. Read their exciting adventure and travel to the alps in Austria with them. Will Chase be able to keep Lizzy safe during the trip of her life?

How can someone fall in love in two weeks? Can Chase be forced by his friend to spend time with a stranger, have her fall in love with him for a million dollars. I loved this story! Two people with lots of past baggage and one in danger in a beautiful place come together for him to protect her. Excited to read the next book in the series!

Chase is sent on a getaway encouraged to find love with the woman, Lizzy, he is assigned to protect. For Lizzy, it's the trip of a lifetime; she gets to see the places where The Sound of Music was, and escape the harsh realities she's had lately thanks to a bad breakup and a crazy parent in her profession that tried to kill her. For Chase, if he falls in love, his billionaire friend will give him a good chunk of money, but Lizzy is so much more than a means to an end right from the start. Chase was skeptical with his friend's plan at first, but quickly fell for Lizzy.
This book was good for a quick read; the kind of book when you just want something fast with a light romance and drop of suspense. I did feel like it was underdeveloped for my personal taste, but it was still sweet. The suspense aspects didn't land very well for me because I felt they were underdeveloped and I personally wanted more flushed out and depth based on other suspense books I have read, but the romance was good, if very easy.
This is a clean read.

A policeman and a compassionate young woman

Chase and Lizzie were matched up by rich friends. Lizzie had a lot of past disastrous relationships.

Chase was a police officer with Army Ranger background. He and Lizzie were to go to Austria for a 2 week dream vacation. At the end of the 2 weeks, if Lizzie fell in love with Chase, he would get a million dollars. She would get 100 thousand dollars.

There was much enjoyment, but oh, so much danger involved.

I love Cami's way of writing.

An interesting start to a new series! Billionaire Brandon Richard’s wants his buddies to find love so he offers them a deal. They will spend two weeks with someone that he and his assistant/maybe girlfriend Madelyne have found that need protecting. If they fall in love Brandon has promised to pay them. Chase is first up and not at all happy with the plans. He decides he will go to Austria and protect Lizzie who has a knack for dating overbearing nasty guys and is being stalked by someone who attacked her. He doesn’t want the money, he think love is not for him! Is he on for a big surprise!

Great start to a new series with some characters you might be familiar with. Lizzie has had some terrible experiences in her life. Chase finds her extremely courageous and beautiful both inside and out. I so enjoyed all the descriptions of Austria; made me feel like I was right there. A wonderful story that should keep you guessing. I really enjoyed this and it was hard to put down.

Chase and Lizzy’s love story was so sweet and I couldn’t put this one down. Cami Checketts you have done it again. All the sweet moments between these two were amazing. I can’t wait for the next book. Two people putting their past aside to come together and to overcome obstacles. They help each other and Chase can’t help but fall madly in love with Lizzy.

so good you want to read it again

I think Chase was the kind of man that every woman dreams about. Lizzy seemed to think he was too good to be true. Through all of their adventures in Salzburg, Austria and other neighboring towns, Lizzy taught him how to relax and have fun. Chase in turn taught her what love and acceptance was all about. This story was a classic with the right amount of suspense and romance. I highly recommend this book. Read and enjoy it.

Chase and Lizzy

Chase is such an interesting and exciting book. I enjoyed getting to know Chase and Lizzy. I liked seeing Austria through their eyes and reconnecting with The Sound of Music. I liked getting to know them as the learned more about and got to know and care about each other. I enjoyed reading about their hopes, fears, and insecurities. I liked the intrigue, the danger, and the romance.

I always enjoy Cami's books, and this one did not disappoint! Chase and Lizzie both have challenging pasts, and they are brought together in beautiful Austria, a dream come true for Lizzie since she loves The Sound of Music, which was filmed there. Chase is tasked with protecting her from a threat to her life, and they are attracted to each other but held back by their pasts. You will enjoy seeing how their story unfolds!

Eeeeep! Chase is such a cinnamon roll hero! A retired Army Ranger turned Policeman, whose compassion and care outweighs his curiosity about Lizzy’s fears and her disability? Chase has ruined any real life men for me now. Seriously. I loved Lizzy’s personality and the hints we got of the other characters has me excited for the next books.

This was a sweet story with suspense, danger, a stalker, and romance set in Austria in Checketts's new series. I enjoyed how Checketts has Lizzy, the heroine, with a disability(cerebral palsy) that I can relate to and has to eventually trust Chase with her disability and the scars she received from a previous attack. I enjoyed this first installment in this series.

I enjoyed this European vacation with a bit of excitement. The house sounded amazing and the scenery descriptions were out of this world. I loved the protective way Chase had with Lizzy and his coming to her rescue.

Chase and Lizzy

Lizzy had a form of cerebral palsy. She was embarrassed and didn’t know if she would find love or not. Chase’s boss and Lizzy’s friend/boss had a great idea for 10 couples. Now that is all I’m saying, cause you have to read the whole story. Enjoy.

Cani Checketts has a lot of potential but I am disappointed by the suspense that starts off intriguing but then falls flat with a one-page magical solution or sudden, perfectly-wrapped-up-like-a-neat-package solution to the danger.
