“Although we're apart You're a part of my heart And tonight you belong to me.” — Patience & Prudence
He hunted me.
From the moment I slipped on his ring and closed my eyes, I conjured the thought of him. I nearly lost my ability to think when he showed himself. Dark skin, tattoos, fangs—The combination was as unorthodox as what he asked of me. After losing so much, I truly had nothing to lose. After learning about his connections, I was too afraid to say no. Going from a twenty-four-year-old virgin to the fated mate of a motorcycle-riding vampire seemed as insane as me considering it.
She really didn’t have a choice but to say yes. Like me, the pretty lady had no control over things already written, especially once she slipped my prized possession over her flesh. Midnight Hills groomed me to be unhinged. My motorcycle club, The Sons of Eshu, owned my loyalty. Going from a hunter who finds solace in pain to the protector of a naïve partner felt like a knife in my chest. Yet, knowing it was my only way to freedom made me crave her.
This was so cute. Draco was just what Frankie needed and vice versa. I will say that Frankie was braver than me because I would have fainted before attempting to run for the hills. I’m glad she stuck around though. Their love story wasn’t typical, but it checked all the boxes.
I def like Quadir and Zo’s unhinged behinds to find their mates though.
I need to see the other brothers find their mate. I need for them to have a baby that is going to be so unique. I need them to get rid of the other vampires that they were taking Gold to. He friend was a straight hater.
This was so cute! I enjoyed meeting Draco and his Nugget! I definitely think Zo would be Halloween with his foolishness and Quadir Valentine's Day! Either way, this novella was a good read
Pulls you in with an incredible hook. A Black vampire with a little bit of street serving in a motorcycle club but occasionally does crime ✅✅✅, a shy Black FMC with vitiligo who loves knitting and cutting hair ✅✅✅✅. Once the virgin angle gets tossed in, it all becomes a "gimmie gimmie" read. Even though the premise was fun, there were some so-so moments:
🤏🏽 This comes off as an instalove story, but it truly has "slowburn"itis, and that really hindered my enjoyment. Fated Mates can play one of two ways. 1️⃣) They instantly want to connect or bang one another while navigating what relationship looks like when you are instantly there 2️⃣) They do the "Well I know we are fated to be together but do you really like me for me and I want to test the waters and see if you are someone I should be happy about being fated to" dance. And for this book, we have option 2. They dance around each other a lot, and it doesn't really feel like a fate mate storyline. Instalove was offered, but we had some good explicit scenes tossed in, but it was more of the licKy licky variety.
🤏🏽 Black Vampires in an urban setting is my kryptonite, but here it feels more one-step in/one-step out. There weren't just some balls to the walls vamp lore. The vamps here are giving Twilight-ish movements, mentality, and thinking...aka very human-ish, very humanity, very not really a dangerous entity. That hindered the joy a little bit. that's also due to them being half vamp/half human angle
🤏🏽 The pacing for a novella felt off. The actions and situations being focused on felt more like filler, and it leaves a smaller plot impact upon the romance for this reason. More quieter character moments together would have been a nice fit for the romance arc.
So what did work 👌🏽 The characters were a hoot. Strong characterization for both the mains. I understood their motivations and backgrounds 👌🏽 The side characters were even intriguing, and yes, definitely want more from Zo and Quadir. I love how the author states she enjoys writing Black love stories and wanting to do even more with the Black Paranormal scene. Yes, please!
I tend to avoid books that have a virgin as a main character, but I decided to read this one because “vampire” held my attention. (I’ve been in my supernatural bag for the past year.) I thought it was a nice little way to differentiate this book from the others (that I’ve read) in the series. I also appreciated that Tucora didn’t make Frankie being a virgin her whole personality.
I liked Draco and Frankie. It was kinda hard for me to figure out if I liked Draco or not initially, but I did like Frankie right off the bat. Draco’s life was pretty chaotic. He’s a business owner, an enforcer for Sons of Eshu, responsible for his grown ass brothers, and has to worry about paying for the consequences of his ancestor’s actions. Needless to say, Draco is pretty closed off and keeps his circle small.
Frankie is pretty much the opposite. She’s gone through some things and recently lost a loved one but Frankie is open. Frankie is also cautious and feisty, and people seem to really like her (aside from Jasmine and Tatiana).
Even though this book is a part of the motorcycle club series, the motorcycle club felt like a background thing. We spent so much time learning about onyx vampires, Frankie’s background and getting to know Draco and Frankie as fated mates that I actually forgot about the motorcycle club. I didn’t remember until the club was mentioned later in the book.
It’s a cute book, but it did leave me with an unanswered question at the end. Did Frankie’s mom’s necklace and Draco’s ring matching not have any significance? We were introduced to Frankie when she tried to pawn her mom’s necklace and then it’s briefly mentioned that it matched Draco’s ring but dassit. I thought there would be some kind of explanation or something.
Quote: “Walking around another man's kitchen with your nipples out is crazy work.”
I think I have read maybe 2 books from this author, but I have fell in love and become obsessed with her and her pen sister’s writings. 🤷🏽♀️😍Draco is a standalone, but apart of a BLP series, a publisher companies month long release. I would highly recommend reading the entire series like me, but this is a standalone so it is definitely NOT needed., BUT be sure to read this one. Out of the entire series, this was the only paranormal read, which was super refreshing. Does’t hurt that it was written well. DISCLAIMER: 95% of the things I read have a trigger warning and I love it. Protect your peace and mental health at all cost!!!
Like all of my reviews, I won’t spoil it for you, but this is the strange adventure of MMC Draco and FMC Frankie. (I am a sucker for a girl with a cute boy name.)This is a story of finders keepers turning into a fated destiny. 😂I love this for Frankie. Draco is the motorcycle riding vampire and oldest of his siblings. He is haunted by his own immortal situation and trying to find his own resolve. Of course, Frankie, our naïve virgin FMC summoned him by chance or was it? From the time they come in contact with one another, all signs point to them working out a way to understand, love, and trust each other. The journey was a beautiful unfolding. I wished it was a longer read. This book did leave me with 2 questions:
1. What about her necklace or did I miss that part? 2. Can I get some continuations on Draco’s brothers? Seems like they would be a good read.IYKYK! You will love this book if you love urban paranormal like me, little to no spice, and of course this genre.IYKYK! Again, check your trigger warnings. Happy reading!
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶️ (based on my own delu lu scale)
Frankie, the virgin fated mate of a motorcycle-riding vampire! Dark skin, tattoos, fangs! Yes, please, right?? They sure pulled out all the cliché stops.
Right down to lines like:
"“Don’t be scared, Frankie. I got you. In this lifetime and in the next. Believe that.”
I will give some grace as this it was the writers first time writing a paranormal romance.
It was a different take on vampirism. Plot was a lil dizzy because it was a short read 108 pages. TBH, if they did a full length spin off, 🤷🏾♀️ I'd still read it. There is potential here.
We never found out about Franky's mysterious jewelry collection or what significance it held for the Onyx Vampires if any.
Wouldn't mind hearing more from Quadir and Zo.
*Was it just me or did none of the MMC's dicribed in the books match the covers. It's as if the covers were afterthought.
Draco had twist in his hair for crying out loud 🤷🏾♀️!!
"I massaged my scalp then pulled on my frizzy two-strand twists since I couldn’t figure out what else to do with my hands".
What? It's a 3.75⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LIKED IT!!
📚Genre: paranormal romance 🎭Trope: insta-love story 🔥Spice Level: 1.5 ⚠️Possible Triggers: annoyance and inconsistent 💁🏾♀️ 😢Tears 0
I said what I said and as always: don't take my word for it. Read the book, form your own opinions, and support your authors! 🫶🏿📖👏🏾
This was an okay read. I know it was a shorter read but think that a little more length would’ve helped my overall enjoyment. There wasn’t really a lot of vampire lore and what we did get felt sprinkled in. I enjoyed the concept of the story, what the ring symbolized and all that but it just left some things to be desired. Something else I couldn’t really couldn’t with was the moments when Draco and Frankie were getting to know each other and connecting. I understand she would have questions about him and his life but it just felt like a q&a session in some spots and aside from the fated love, I didn’t believe they were soulmates or in love. I also felt the falling out with her friend was random. When we first met the friend, she seemed normal and out of left field she’s being shady just so Draco could say “oh, watch your back” or whatever which already lets you know the friend isn’t going to last long lol. It was enjoyable enough and a quick read I just struggled to connect to it. Also, Frankie’s adoptive mother told her she’d need the jewelry one day… but then it’s never touched on again or how it matched Draco’s ring. So yeah, I know it was a short read but it could’ve been a little more fleshed out. 3.5/5 stars rounded down.
Losing his wallet brought about the first meeting between Draco and Frankie. From that moment on, they never stood a chance of not being together because it was meant to be. I was glad that the paranormal aspect wasn't over the top. It was just Draco and Frankie coming together in an unusual, paranormal, romantic way. I loved their connection as well as their banter. I thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between the brothers. I'm hoping that the author will give us books about Quadir and Zo. I couldn't stand that so-called "best friend". Draco had her number within a few minutes of meeting her, and Frankie realized that Draco was right and finally saw her true colors. I enjoyed this book from the first page to the end. Pick it up so you can too!!
This standalone is so lit. I’m glad my girl found her mate Draco wallet. Her homegirl Sammi It’s so jealous of her and the way it seemed that she act like she was above my girl. Draco seen right through her and he taken for him to open her eyes. The baby bro Zo his mouth was a peace of work. The middle bro D I really like him cause he was laid back. But I’m happy my babies got their happy ending but I really want an update about them. U did good on the first book that I read of urs and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
OMG I loved this story, wish it was a little longer but it held my attention from beginning to end. So happy Frankie got the family she always wanted and to find her other half made it that much more beautiful. Crack and his brothers finally were free from their ancestors so called crime, which it shouldn't have gone that far because if it wasn't for their dad branching out they would not have known that their other half could indeed be human. Love a good paranormal book especially dark chocolate tall and.fine vampires.
Draco: The Vampire and The Virgin (BLP Motorcycle Club Book 18)
It's my first time reading a paranormal book. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was romantic and gave you all the feels.
Draco needed a virgin to break the curse so that he and his brothers could live life beyond 30 years. They were halfbreeds, half vampires and half humans. Yeah , I know...lol. Anyway, Draco and Frankie were destined to be together in this lifetime and the next.
Draco Draco Draco man can you say book boyfriend he was really crazy and he love so hard in this book and I feel how he feels when he was trying to find his mate and be with her. Draco was so much in love when he took her that he couldn’t control taking her but she was 24 year old virgin and they could stop what fate had in store for each of them and the son of eshu club will never be the same and I could say see their love story develop was great it was a great boon10/10 recommend you read

This crossover was everything! I love Church, Shilo, and Stevie. but how do they not know about Draco and the brothers?! I need answers and definitely a part 2! I’d love to see the brothers find their mates especially Zo, because whew, that man stays mad at the world for no reason 😩. And Shilo finding out what Draco really is?? Yeah, I’m gonna need that scene immediately!
This is my kind of book. I’m sad that it’s only a one part. I really enjoyed this book. I hope u did one about the brothers for Halloween i know it gone be fire… i have sooo many question. Did they ever have kids. Did she tell him about the necklace she got. What did the necklace mean…. Yyyyyy did it have to end… great job tho. The best book out of the BLP Motorcycle club series
This was a very different read for me but I love the story line with this one! I was surprised how much we learned and saw within just 100 pages! I’m too invested now though, I need to know what happens next. What happened to Zo first attempt? Will Q get his mate (I hope so 🤞🏾) What happened to those apart of the brawl? When will Nugget get her own nugget?? We have more to learn here so I hope we can get a follow up this October ❤️
This book was short and sweet. Frankie needed saving, she needed love, safety and real people around. I love that she found that and gained what she needed through Draco. Draco was very much a lover and so protective. I love this for them. It was an Instalove which I like. I really liked this story but the ended felt unfinished.
The love between Draco & Frankie was sooo sweet! Frankie deserved the new family she got once meeting him. He was right, Sammi was beyond jealous cause a true friend would uplift their friend while embracing her vitiligo! I need to dive into the Sons of Eshu & I’d enjoy Quadir’s and Zoe’s stories!!!
I absolutely loved everything about this book!!!…The plot was very well written, the characters were very intriguing and I loved the development of the relationship with the characters!!!… Draco was such a sweet person with such a hard core & I love how gentle he was with Frankie!!!…
This truly needed to be longer and with more details to explain unanswered questions. The biggest being the pendant that looked like the ring! How the he'll dif you skip that? You rushed and left me bewildered! And this could have stopped on a cliffhanger with the promise of a second book! I'm actually angry.😖
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75|🌶️🌶️ The story moves really quickly and jump timelines quickly too. I also wish the readers had more of a backstory on the brother’s family and parents. The characters themselves have great potential but I also wanted more of the paranormal aspect of the story to shine more. 💖
This book had me smiling and spinning like crazy the characters were so real and the whole story was just amazing I can most definitely a whole series of them and the whole crew please keep this book going and tag me please thank you for stepping up and showing out your pen game is amazing and definitely do more paranormal stories
Draco and Frankie didn't have a traditional relationship, but they fell in love just like a normal couple. Draco would hurt anyone that did not respect his relationship. Frankie was blessed to finally have a family. They made each other very happy! This was an amazing read!
I'm into paranormal books but this one was good. Learning Draco family history was good. I just didn't like how him and his brothers had to pay a debt until Draco find him a soul mate. Frankie why didn't she ever tell Draco about the stone she had from her mother? I would like to know it's meaning myself.
I've never read anything written by this author. I enjoyed this novel a lot. It was rushed and certain situations didn't give absolute closure, i.e. the other vamps they were servant to, what actually happened the night he came home bloody and if she decided to do an introduction for her friend Sammy.
Ima always be here for a paranormal! You did so good with your first one that I need more! It is three brothers, right?! lol I hope they move to Silk Hills so we can get more from these two.
I absolutely love TM writing style and add paranormal elements I was sold. Really good I didn’t want it to end I definitely wanted more from this couple. I would love an update and Zo definitely Quadir’s story like yesterday 😊
