Floffy" and Sweet

Polly Worthington and Flynn Morgan made such a lovely pair. Both musicians and always on the tour. Both have always been friends of each other and meet each other. But it is a casual sort of friendship. But during the time that Polly has a heartbreak, she has a very unexpected friend, who held her hands and was there to pick up the pieces.

But even after they start their story it is not simple. Late Nyght Smoke has a new songwriter and would "Flamie" really become a thing?

Flynn was written beautifully well and I adored the character. Especially with the glasses. Polly was sweet too. Surprisingly Ryker, the Navy Seal was the one who caught my attention after the lead pair.

The story brings the troubles of musicians, long distance relationships, doubts and so many other things in it and clearly brings out that all that matters in the end is a little love and trust. And plenty of laughter.

The tabloid reports in the middle added further spice to the story and made it more interesting. Enjoyed it.

The guitarist of the rock band Lovely Oblivion, Polly, wants to surprise her boyfriend. She got the chance when her show was cancelled. But little did she knew, her boyfriend has been living double life. They've been together since high school and even after she got into the band she always finds a way to see him. But that wasn't enough for a man like him.

After the breakup, Polly is surrounded with her friends. The members of the band and Flynn, that she met few years ago and instantly clicked. Flynn is also a guitarist in a famous band. He and Polly are living different lives. But one award show will cross their paths. Can Polly jump into a new distance relationship with the fact that she saw how that worked out from her past? Will they be able to find a way to be together even when they're always at two cities, miles apart?

I love these series so far! "Lovely Oblivion: Polly" is the third book. As I mentioned in my review for the second book, I love how the author brakes the stereotype and writes about girl rock band. Every single character is unique and each story shares a different life lesson.

The reason why these series are special to me is because we follow the characters lives through the series. It feels like one big family and the reader is not excluded from it.

"I enjoy my house and I like to be there when I can, but it's only a house. I guarantee I will be happier living with you. Wherever you need to be. Being with you is the most important factor to me right now."

Flynn is such a good character. He was always respectful and understanding. I love how he saw Polly's talent and made her believe in herself. I adore some of the scenes with him, they are heartwarming. Also, I absolutely love Ryker, he is my favorite character. Loved him in book one and even more in this one.

Interesting, funny and romantic story that I really enjoyed reading. The excitement is bigger for the next part!

Lovely Oblivion: Polly is a friends to lovers trope which follows Flynn Morgan and Polly Worthington. Flynn and Polly are both guitarist for their bands and have been friends for a long time. Every time their bands were in the same city, they would meet up and have sleepovers, just hanging out and watching movies together. Eventually, they finally decided to give Flolly (their ship name) a try and hope the distance wouldn’t hurt their new relationship.

I actually really enjoyed this book more than I expected. I initially chose to read this book because I’m always a sucker for a friends to lovers trope but I ended up falling in love with the story and the characters. I love how understanding they were of each other, they were both in bands and were touring so they knew what it was like to be on the road and the struggles that may come with it.

I LOVED Flynn. I mean look at this

“I’m scared, Flynn.” She watched concern cross his face.
“Let’s talk about it. What are you worried about?”
“It’s silly.”
“No, it’s not. You feel it, which means it’s important. Talk to me.”

I felt like he was so good at communicating and trying to work things out. It’s like he always knew how important Polly was to him and he wanted to do what he could to make their relationship work and I loved that.

This is my first book of A.D. Craig and it won’t be the last! I can’t wait to read what book the author comes up with next!

Lovely Oblivion: Polly is part of a standalone, interconnected Lovely Oblivion Rockstar trilogy by A D Craig. Polly and Flynn are members of two different rock bands on different tours that met at a previous event where they became fast friends. They share their lives by texting, phone calls, and spending time together between performance dates on tour. They have a platonic relationship since Polly is engaged to her high school sweetheart and Flynn is relationship shy. After Polly’s relationship falls apart; she begins to see Flynn as a romantic interest. Likewise, Flynn, who already sees Polly as a person he could fall for, is all for taking their friendship to the next step. How their relationship develops from friends to lovers is a slow burn that flames into an inferno make this book must-read. Flynn and Polly deal with interfering with a record label, separate tours, lack of time to spend together, and trust issues cause problems for the budding relationship. All issues resolve into a wonderful HEA. Lovely Oblivion: Polly is a fun rock star romance read that I recommend that not only this story to be read but all A D Craig’s books since they are too good to pass up!

Adorable Love and Friendship . . .

Two rockstars, both guitarists for their band, almost always on separate rock tours, Flynn Morgan and Polly Worthington have been friends for years. Their schedules keep them apart much of the time. But when their bands were close by each other, Flynn and Polly would get together to hang out and watch movies on TV.

When an awards show brings them together, he invites her as his date. He would be in a tux and she would wear jeans because everyone knows you can’t get a decent dress with only two days notice! So they both smile as they get out of limo and are being announced on the runway where their outfits are described. The announcer says, “And here we have Flynn of Late Nyght Smoke with his date Polly of Lovely Oblivion. Both wear Levi’s...”, and his mouth dropped open. Flynn is always there for her, and their friendship spikes up to more. More than friends, deep into love, can they find a compromise to keep them together?

Another great rockstar romance from this author? Yes please sign me in.
Polly and Flynn were so cute together. I love that even tho Polly was insecure about herself and Flynn’s approach to their relationship, they always talked about everything.
I was so sad with how the things turned out about the misunderstanding between Flynn. I hate that the media always “sees” everything and talk shit about other people. Also the way managers work sucks. I really liked the fact that there were so called “fillers” with Flynn’s band BUT they were amazing and you could see how passionate he was about his work.
But I loved loved Polly and Flynn. His little temple and forehead kisses were so adorable. I loved that they first got to be friends and explored each other at friendly level and then noticed their feelings.
It was you a great rockstar romance. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.

I really enjoyed this. Flolly (or Pollyn if you think Polly is the best) are a super cute couple. I love how their relationship blossomed from their friendship. I also enjoyed their friendship being completely platonic until it wasn't. There were no one-sided unrequited feelings or jealousies until Polly was suddenly available.
Flynn is a sweetheart. Such an easy character to fall for.
Polly is sweet but tough when she needs to be. (I'd like her strength of will to just cut ex's off completely)
We saw more of Polly's band than Flynns, but all the extra characters added colour to the story. Ryker was pretty cool and I might go and read his book.

Lovely Oblivion Polly is the friends to lovers story between Polly Worthington and Flynn Morgan. It's also the third book in the Lovely Oblivion series and is a standalone. Polly Worthington is one of the guitarist in the band, Lovely Oblivion, and is famous for wearing her hair in space buns on stage. Flynn Morgan is a songwriter and one of the guitarist in the band, Late Nyght Smoke. The two have been close friends ever since they met each other years ago. Every time they had free time and were in the same city, the two would have a friendly movie night sleepover. Things between them were strictly platonic as Polly has been engaged to her high school sweetheart and has been with him for 10 years. But when Polly is publicly betrayed and humiliated, Flynn is there to rescue her and invites her to be his date for an awards show to keep her mind off of how her world was turned upside down. The thoughts of the two of them together were always in the back of their minds, but at the mentioned of their names mashed together the two decide to see how things go between them. But the recent hurt that Polly has experienced causes her to have doubts. Will it consume her to where it ruins her relationship with Flynn or will it bring them closer together? This book takes you on the journey of two rockstars, the hardships each of them face, and their relationship. It’s a fun and easy read and I devoured it in one sitting. I loved the world that the author created and its characters. Can’t wait for the next book in the series and I’m hoping I spotted the Easter eggs that were planted in this book. I recommend this book and all the books in the Lovely Oblivion series for those who love a HEA rockstar romance.

I want to start off by saying: I read Jade’s book first and really enjoyed it. Amazon didn’t post my review, they said it was inappropriate. I personally think whoever reviewed it was offended by me saying it was nice to read about a male character who was so confident in his masculinity he wasn’t afraid to have male friends and show affection. That was the only thing in my review that could’ve been construed as inappropriate.

Moving on.
Polly and Flynn are best friends. The ride-or-die kind of friends that romance readers want to be together. There is a snag though: Polly is engaged. Too bad her husband-to-be is hiding a big secret. One that leaves Polly alone and homeless. It seems Polly’s musician lifestyle was too much for him. Good thing Flynn is a musician too and gets everything about life on the road. Neither had really been interested in pursuing romance with the other, but now? Maybe it’s time for that to change.

Flynn was a wonderful male lead, melding both attitude and sensitivity in a way that works for a character. Polly was a down to Earth punk rocker who felt relatable to me despite her being a musician rockstar and me notably not being that. I just really enjoyed these two characters together. They really connected well with one another and made the progression of the book feel natural.
Once again, I feel as though A.D. Craig managed to wonderfully create a male character confident enough in himself to have feelings and talk about them. It’s a relief to read stories about men who actually communicate with their partner - who stress communication’s importance.
Polly is great too. She had a moment where she almost allowed herself to wreck a good thing but she allowed others to talk to her and listened to them. She’s a woman with feelings and edge.

I would recommend this book. I enjoyed reading it and found myself smiling while reading it. It wasn’t a long book but it accomplished everything the story needs without feeling rushed which I thoroughly enjoyed along with the characters’ chemistry and the plot in general.

This is the third book in the Lovely Oblivion series. As with the first two books, the female lead is a Rockstar.

I really liked that the relationship between Flynn and Polly is built on a foundation of friendship. And that, for the most part, they communicate well with one another.

I really like how the characters from previous books were worked in.

DNF 38%

I picked this up hoping for a quick little read, and immediately thought, "Uh-oh," At the fact that the author wrote down every little thing the characters did and apparently had a broken comma key on their keyboard as every sentence averaged about 5 words in length. Two pages are taken up in the first chapter alone going through the actions of ordering and eating food. Not in any detail, just a bare bones list of the actions taken.

He put his glasses on. He read the menu. He called to order food. They sat to eat the food. She poured the syrup.

How does that do anything but waste my time and the page space?

I kept reading in the hopes of giving it a fair shot, but nothing was made better by the chances I gave on every page I talked myself into reading. The writing was just not for me.

Two best friends—musicians from popular bands. Seemed like a perfect match, except that she already had a fiancé. Then that fiancé ended up already married with kids. Whoa, dude worked fast.

For being the bad boy in the band, Flynn was a real softie to Polly. Their comforting comradery was nice. For a while, the two commiserate on whether they could possibly be more than friends in the face of fame and paparazzi.

Storyline was slow to progress, but it was a rather nice build-up. A romance slowly blooms. I have to be honest that this story certainly wasn’t as good as the previous works I’ve enjoyed by this author. It just wasn’t as exciting or as quick as the other books in this series. I felt rather tepid about the whole thing.

It was a fairly nice romance and nothing more.

Trust issues surface for pop star Polly Worthington when she finds out the truth about her boyfriend, Grady’s secret life. When she meets Flynn, another pop star from another band, she is slowly brought out of the shadows and back again. But before that happens there are things that must be negotiated first. It’s an adorable and lovely story made more so by the constant newspaper reports that appear to keep us updated on the romance. Flynn is a lovely character, caring and honest, wanting the relationship to work, and willing to do what it takes for that to happen. It is a well-written book and part of a series, the rest of which I look forward to reading.

Polly and Flynn have been friends for years. Polly has been in a long-term relationship but things are not what she seems and her heart is broken. Flynn is there for her, the hero with all the feelings and turns their friendship and Polly's world upside down.

I've read the first two in the series and no. 3 did NOT disappoint! Polly and Flynn gave me everything I expect from this author and more.

Definitely five stars from me!

Interesting

I like the story. It's interesting. The concept is neat. The storyline is cool. It felt a bit rushed. If it were fleshed out a bit more it would really shine. Don't misunderstand. I liked it. And you should read it.

This was a great book. Love the story line and just enough "Fun Time". Can't wait for the other books in the series to be delivered to see what happens to them.
