If I had to describe my life before falling for Alton and Raiden, I’d say it was okay. I existed instead of thriving.

With my horrible father and brothers gone, I found their rival and moved in. There was also the part where I lusted after one of the rival’s guards while dating my way through Dremest. Fun, right? Nope.

Then I met Dr. Alton Keeley.

The guard I mentioned, Raiden Sutton, had desired Alton for years. After a failed encounter where they could have been more, neither made another move.

Enter me. I became the bridge they needed to finally get together. In the process, I found where I fit.

With them. Under them. Against them. All over them.

If only our relationship went smoothly. We had our self-doubts and struggles. Me getting a new job didn’t help.

Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Except I could have done without bullets flying at the men I cared about and a new enemy popping up when I least expected them.

Just another day in my life. At least I had my men. They’d get me through anything, and I’d do the same for them as long as we came out alive on the other side of it.

Lane is an MMM steamy contemporary romance and book five in the East Dremest Mafia series. It features a bored man itching for more, a guard torn between two men, and a doctor who mends the mafia boss and his employees on the side. There is hurt/comfort, found family, and first love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Explosive chemistry, found family, and mafia danger—Lane had me hooked from page one!”

Michelle Dare delivers in Lane, the fifth book in the East Dremest Mafia series. This MMM romance is an emotional rollercoaster wrapped in desire, danger, and deep connection.

Lane, Alton, and Raiden are absolute perfection together. Each brings something unique to the trio—Lane’s craving for belonging, Alton’s steady healing presence, and Raiden’s fierce, conflicted loyalty. Their chemistry? Off the charts. 🔥

But what really pulled me in was the way they grew together. The tension, the hesitation, the aching need—they weren’t just hot; they were human. I adored the found family element and how Lane became the missing piece for both men.

Of course, it wouldn’t be East Dremest without bullets, threats, and surprises around every corner, and the action kept the pace sharp and the stakes high. Still, at the heart of it all was love—messy, real, and totally worth the risk.

Lane is equal parts steamy, heartfelt, and thrilling. If you love mafia romance with unconventional pairings, deep emotional arcs, and characters you’ll root for with your whole heart—read this now.

(I received an ARC for this book)

While this book is an interconnected standalone, the previous books are in many ways connected and recommended reading!

Trigger Warnings include:
mafia related violence on page including torture, death (including that of a parent); mentions of cancer, off-page abuse, (consensual) somnophilia

I don’t appreciate the ugly crying, but lord do I love this family and their loved ones! I think ‘attached’ is the best way to describe my love for this series. I knew going into this one we weren’t going to get a break from pain, that would be too easy on my heart! Lane is the newest member of this found family. And he comes at just the right time. When Raiden and Alton need him most. He’s their second chance, the glue their hearts need. Lane was also the voice of reason in other ways, too. No wonder Jordan likes him so much…but I won't say more on that topic…Speaking of Boss Man! His soft side was definitely showing in this one, and I loved every second of it! Lane, Raiden, and Alton each have something to work through, but they have each other. And even though it isn’t easy, they don’t give up. They’re each care givers, protectors in their own ways. And there is such a beautiful vulnerability between them! I have always loved the way this author weaves her stories together. Her big, beautiful world filled with men who will stop at nothing for their loved ones, and those they love.

My Favorite Quotes:
• “My fire is spoken for, and my men don't like to share.”
• “It makes me hot just thinking about him spilling blood.”
• “You belong. Don’t make me beg.”
• “You’re dangerous.” “You have no idea of the things I can do.”
• “I’m not sure who to be with you. You mix me up inside.”
• “So I’ll get two dicks instead of one? Not a bad deal if you ask me.”
• “We want you with us.”
• “We don’t want to do this without you.”
• “I can’t lose either of you.”
• “Take me, use me, make me forget anything but us.”
• “Being with you is a risk I’ll gladly take.”
• “We’ll give you everything.”
• “I didn’t know love could be this big.”

--"You're about as open as a door with no handle.”--

This is a 276-page Fast-Paced Opposites Attract, Mafia MMM Romance. MORE LOVE, MORE FUN! It is Book 5 in the East Dremest Mafia series and is better enjoyed if read in order. BONUS POINTS is you read the Three Ties Series and Ruined & Relinquished series too! IT’S A WHOLE UNIVERSE, where characters are related or friends.

Written in a triple first-person POV, seemlessly rotating from one character to the next with the smoothness of a child’s carousel. The story didn’t wait for Jordan to pull the trigger on his gun, and shot off right at the beginning and really snagged your attention like a flesh wound. The first half of the book is character forward with very little plot development but was never boring! Raiden is one of Jordan’s most trusted guards with a twin brother also on the payroll. He has held a long standing crush on the Mafia Doctor, Alton, and a new and jealousy growing crush on Lane, a relative of Hartley, one of Jordan’s partners……Did You Get That...?.... I should probably draw a diagram…🤔

--Sweat glistened on his skin, drawing me closer. He was like a shiny penny I found on the ground, calling my name, beckoning with its promise of good luck.--

With Lane being fairly new in the building, and Alton not directly working with everyone and only when he's called in to stitch someone up, we learn a good bit of background about them including more on Lane's experiences growing up in a rival Mafia and being neglected and hated by most of his family. Alton is a quiet soul that tends to feel like he doesn’t belong. That leads him to be a focused individual who cares for others with workaholic tendencies. Not much shakes him because of his experiences behind the scenes. Raiden is both sides of a coin. He has a mild personality that could go either way at the flip of a switch. Protective, rough, and closed off one minute, and the next he’s tender and sensitive. He stakes claim on what’s his and constantly worries he’s not wanted, which makes his jealousy thrive. Raiden wanted to be with Alton before Lane even was in the picture, but it was like the & symbol was missing between RAIDEN ‘&’ ALTON. Lane became the ‘&’ and helps bridge the gap of want, lust, and love without feeling like the 3rd wheel and being neglected. They just didn’t realize they couldn’t have each other without Lane.

--I wanted to be what they needed, as they’d said. I wanted to be the one they leaned on. Apparently, I just had to prove it to myself. They already knew.--

The plot development in the 2nd half of the novel came out of nowhere like Sheldon coming out of the shadows, (iykyk). When I thought the knife was gonna twist one way, it twisted another. With the most impulsive enemy we’ve encountered to date, the violence was sudden and sometimes a real throat punch. It was written brutally beautiful with great detail to up your blood pressure and emotions. No one is ever safe in the mafia.

--What I see is, no matter the obstacles they’ve encountered, they’ve all found a way to make it work. It doesn’t matter how you get there. Just as long as you do.--

All individuals' characteristics & character development are detailed throughout the whole universe. Again, it should be read in order to fully grasp the plot and trajectory of how & where we came from, how we got here, and where we are going next. Michelle Dare does a phenomenal job of mapping out each character so far in advance that by time it’s their turn to find love, she doesn’t have to waste space on creating an origin story as those details were developed, built, and delivered books ago. She probably has a full Crime Scene whiteboard set up with all the overlapping character relationships and violent plots to keep everything in order and progressing correctly. And shout out to her still constantly evolving Jordan character even after all this time. He is a tough ‘saggy’ nut to crack, but his men sure do help him constantly be better…. while committing Mafia crimes.

--“I thought I wouldn’t fit with you, but you showed me I do. We’re not whole unless we’re together. Without you near, part of me is missing. I didn’t know love could be this big.”--

Spice level was good! 3/5🌶. I know for some SPICE IS EVERYTHING. For me, the author’s writing formula has to balance correctly. This was so balanced it was a steel rafter beam in Jordan’s ceiling holding the building up! The spice included was really enjoyable and soothing like a game of ring-around-the-rosie. In this case, with the character development, it was more about connection; emotionally, mentally. It was used as their own language to communicate their feelings with each other, not just to get off. But don’t mistake my description, the scenes were still🥵 with some minor panty play and something new to me. Once described, I went down a rabbit hole, knowing there just HAD to be a name for it, and sure enough, there was... SEXSOMNIA!

--The real world waited; it always did. As long as we had each other, we could fight whatever it threw at us. Although, if it could be a little less, 'I'm going to fuck shit up' and more 'You deserve every good thing', that would be nice.--

This universe is the pure definition of Escapism. Its so easy to fall into this world and not come up for air until the very last page, confused about where your time went. Lane joins the series just like all the others, but with an added case of mystery. He was a surprise appearance in a previous installment and kept mostly on the back burner until the time was right for him to blossom in life like he was always meant.

💜Happy Reading🫶

Lane by Michelle Dare is the 5th book in her East Dremest Mafia series. I suggest that you read the others before this one as they explain Jordan Altair, Sr.’s mafia world and how he works as well as the myriad of characters that play a part in this book. This is the story of 3 men, a mafia guard, a young man who has mafia ties, and a doctor who sees to them all as they try to find a way to fit together and love each other in a world that could tear them apart in a second. Raiden Sutton is one of Jordan Altair’s most trusted guards along with his brother Reghan. None of them are afraid to maim or kill if anyone goes against Jordan or anyone under his protection. Raiden has been attracted to Dr. Alton Keely for almost as long as he has known him but doesn’t think he is worthy of his attention. Alton has his own practice but is also the doctor to Jordan and everyone who works for him. He doesn’t like being associated with the East Dremest Mafia but is resigned because Jordan saved his sister from an abusive relationship plus he likes him and the people that are with him. He has also noticed Raiden but is not sure he wants to go further into that world and when Raiden is shot, he patched him up but refused to kiss him because of the drugs he gave him to ease the pain and Raiden took that as a rejection. Lane Everhart has a very long and complicated history with hating his father who was one of Jordan’s biggest rivals and coming under Jordan’s influence when he killed him and his brother while rescuing Lane. It also turned out that he is related to one of Jordan’s partners and while not really wanting to be in the mafia world, it was all he knew and that started him working with Jordan and eventually becoming his second in command. Lane had noticed Raiden right away and was teasing him and hoping for more with him especially since he was tired of dating when it led nowhere. So we have 3 men who want to be with each other but aren’t able to figure out a way to do it. Luckily, they have friends who try to help them and when Alton is checking on Lane who has the flu and Raiden brings him his medicine they stay together but in the morning Alton left. Lane confronts him at his office and they decide they all need to talk and they do when they go on a date which leads to kissing. They eventually end up in a relationship with rules which leads to some very hot love scenes. Alton is still a little unsure because Raiden has become Lane’s guard so they are together all the time and he feels like he is left out, but they try to meet as often as they can. Meanwhile someone is after Lane, even thought he doesn’t know who or why, which leads to terrible consequences with the killing of someone close to Raiden and Jordan needing to find out who it is so he can take him out. When it finally comes to light there are some very tense scenes where you don’t know what will happen next as the killer seems to be one step ahead of them and Alton gets kidnapped so he can get what he wants. This leads to an epic conclusion where they are able to rescue him and give the kidnapper what is due to him. After the rescue they know they love each other and are only whole when they are together. I really enjoyed this book as I have the others in the series. Raiden, Lane, and Alton seem to have an unrequited love but their friends help them see that they need each other. Raiden is quiet but protective and doesn’t think he is worthy of the other two until they prove that he is. Lane is sassy but takes his job seriously and isn’t afraid to go after what he wants, which is Raiden and Alton. Alton is a good doctor and person but worried that he is being left out but that is put to rest by reassurances by Raiden and Lane. This is also a mafia world so there is also lots of killing and maiming without another thought as that is how Jordan, Lane, and the guards deal with those who go against Jordan or his family. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories that include mafia men doing their jobs, 3 men who have to figure out how they fit together, and lots of action and suspense as they find their way to love.

Sometimes Chemistry needs a bridge. We've been getting to know Lane, Raiden, and Alton in the East Dremest Mafia series. Lane has been a whirlwind since he was uncovered by his nephew(s). But since he arrived in ED, he has been making the rounds to go a few rounds. Raiden works for Jordan, and we got to watch his twin brother fall in love. Alton is the "team" doctor, and he seems to have a heart of gold and a mind of steel. Raiden and Alton have been doing a dance, the dance of not knowing whether they will or won't, but rather can they, do they dare, could they figure things out? Both men seem to be drawn to Lane, but knowing the other consumes part of their headspace forces them to keep their distance.

Lane wanted to have a bit more fulfillment in his life, so he decided to force the conversation that should have happened long ago. He knows the throuples in this world thrive, and while he knows things would be great with either man, both men would be electric and set his body on fire in ways he has never known. Raiden is surrounded by love, and his own love life was stunted after a failed experience with Alton, which occurred while he cared for him after his GSW. Lane is a whirlwind in the building, and he is drawn to him, but what could they ever be? He knows Alton should give him a go, but rejection is a strong motivator against making a fool of yourself. Alton has a strong affection for Raiden, but as a doctor, he must put patients first, so when Raiden leaned into him, he had to lean back. But Raiden could not be more wrong about the intention, and the assumption has cost them time. But the time has put Lane into his orbit, and he cannot deny that the man is intriguing.

Alton, Raiden, and Lane are thrown together thanks to Lane's tornado, but it opens the door and allows him to serve as a bridge between the three. However, things begin to change and change quickly, which forces communication to take a starring role because each man has varying levels of insecurity. Then, add Jordan's world, and there is so much stress and potential hurt. But one day, which should have been happy, puts so much in the foreground of their relationship and allows them to see that they are so much stronger as three.

It's Michelle Dare, so it's hotter than hot but also full of twists and turns. I am eager to read Sheldon's story.

I have read all of the Dremest series, and have really enjoyed everyone. This one features a new throuple in the town of East Dremest, the town controlled by mafia boss Jordan Altair Sr., with his bodyguard Raidon Sutton enamored of both newcomer Lane Everheart and the mafia’s doctor, Dr. Alton Kelley. Lane is newly arrived on the scene, the fake son (from mom’s tryst with someone else) of Jordan’s former rival and uncle to one of Jordan’s partners, now working for Jordan and hoping to become his second in command. Lane is drawn to Raidon and Alton, Raidon is drawn to Alton and Lane, and Alton is drawn to Raidon and Lane — the perfect setup for a throuple, only Raidon thinks Alton doesn’t want him, and he doesn’t think he’s good enough for Lane, and Alton has qualms about getting involved with his patients, since he is the doctor for all of Jordan’s men and women guards. It takes quite awhile for the three to figure out the logistics and get past Raidon’s misgivings, all while the day to day mafia business plays out around all three. Eventually, someone from Lane’s past shows up, putting all three of our MCs in danger, and p*ssing Jordan off, leading to our finale and HEA.
Characters are realistic and believable, and there is some token violence before an unwelcome visitor arrives to shake things up even further. We get the chance to see former MCs from previous novels showing up, letting us catch up with them as they are woven into the narrative. POV switches between the MCs, mostly in real time. There are a couple very emotional passages (at least for me), and some humor and snarkiness from Lane to lighten things up along the way.
This series is entertaining and interesting, varied enough to hold my attention as each new throuple is formed. I found it easy to be invested in the characters, to go along on arms deals as Lane’s negotiations sometimes take a detour, and to be present as justice (at least Jordan’s version) is meted out. Looking forward to Sheldon’s story next, another one of Jordan’s men, as he finds his forever person amid the crew in East Dremest.

Lane, Raiden & Alton
I don't know what it is about the East Dremest crew, but their stories are all exciting to follow! I will say that my heart broke for the guys when tragedy struck. The only part of mafia stories I don't enjoy are when innocents are taken down, and this was no exception. I won't name names to give away any spoilers, but surely most readers of these dramas from Michelle Dare are familiar with the possibilities.

Lane is quite the spunky-type character. Very charming and charismatic, and definitely the needed bridge between the stubborn Raiden & Alton. Those two have been circling each other since the first time we meet Alton. And just like Reghan & Barrett from the previous book, the two men are meant for each other, Raiden & Alton just don't realize how much they both need Lane to hep them along and fill the gaps they would both have been missing in their relationship.

Raiden is supposed to be the "funny" twin, but I think he proves to be just as stoic as his brother, although I will say he had to deal with some serious stuff in this story that probably pushes back some of his natural comfort and humor.

Alton is a quiet, sweet, and very insecure man. He takes a good long time to come to understand that the relationship he has with Lane & Raiden is not complete without him. Since he works more outside Jordan's organization, he's constantly worried that he'll be easy for Lane & Raiden to just push out, so the guys have to work extra hard to keep him feeling more comfortable and loved.

I loved this story! Lane is another fantastic but challenging story to read in the East Dremest Mafia series. All of these guys lead difficult lives, but they know how to enrich those lives with the love they all crave. And it's great to see how much Jordan continues to evolve as the mafia boss he is, no matter how many times he complains about becoming "too soft" from spending his time with Vail & Hartley. 🥰

I received an authorized copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Absolutely amazing! This book was just so hard to put down.

Michelle Dare is a new to me author and I’m so glad I found her. Lane was such a fun, intense book that ticked all my boxes.

This is book 5 in the East Dremest Mafia series and I was hooked from the blurb. Leave it to me to ARC a book before making sure it wasn’t part of a series😅

Lane was the son of the Dremest mafia boss rival. He had been verbally abused by his father and brothers and made to feel worthless. The only person who cared about him was his mother but he lost her after she got sick.

Lane wanted to escape his family’s mistreatment and as revenge he became part of his father’s rival’s gang. Not only did he want to take revenge of his father and brothers, but he also wanted to prove that he wasn’t as useless as they said he was.

Once in the Dremest family, he meets Raiden and Alton. Raiden is one of the Boss’s bodyguards and Alton is the Boss’s doctor. Lane is very attracted to both but Raiden has had unrequited feelings for Alton for a while but the doctor’s rejection made him stepped away and give up.

Alton didn’t want to reject Raiden but the circumstances weren’t ideal when Raiden made his move. Now Alton feels he doesn’t fit in, especially with Raiden’s attraction to Lane.

Lane knows that the only way he can get his men, is to get Alton and Raiden to talk things out and admit their feelings for each other. Not an easy task but once they’re all on the same page, fire isn’t hot enough to describe them.

Lane, Raiden and Alton learn to navigate the difficulties of being part of the mafia world. Knowing that every day could be their last, the three of them make sure they appreciate every moment together.

This book has everything to make you laugh, cry, swoon and most of all, raise your temperature with the steamy scenes. Don’t be like me and make sure you start from the beginning 🤣

Can’t wait for the next book!

Oh my gosh!! Where do you come up with these men because I want in! They are so hot, beautiful and kind souls to each other. I love their dynamic and how they finally come together. Even though their insecurities, they work it out in every possible way. I love how these men from different backgrounds just have so much chemistry. But I also hated that while reading this at work, I just about ugly cried. Good thing I had a fan to calm down and no one bothered me at that moment.

Lane is a part of a rival mob family that went against Jordan. When Jordan killed his father, everyone was happier, especially Lane. Now, living in Jordan's building, he sees Raiden just about every day. He can't help wanting to be with the hot bodyguard but he also knows that Raiden has his eyes on the doctor, Alton. So what else can he do but bring them together but also wanting to be part of their of lives.

Raiden has wanted Alton since he can remember, but how does he go past Alston's defenses about patient/doctor relationships? Enter Lane, who Raiden also has the hots for. After being what felt like rejection from Alton, he can't help but wonder if he is good enough for him and also for Lane. His insecurities get the best of him until Lane makes a move and he finally takes the leap.

Alton is Jordan's on call doctor when his guards, himself or his family need him. He likes Raiden but he also has a doctor's mind about not fraternizing with patients. When Lane comes into the picture, he has Alton not think about that and just think about being with Raiden and also himself. After a few nudges, Alton and Raiden finally bridge the gap but Lane is also included.

Three men, three different pasts but one great relationship with all three. Swoon!!

This book was good and has the bones and potential to be great but for me there were quite a few things that missed the mark that were too big for me to give 4 or 5 stars. First I will say that I'm not a big fan of MMM books and although I loved Lane, Raiden and Alton, the way their relationship is written is why I dont enjoy MMM books as i feel one always feels underappreciated and left out. They moved quickly as Lane was the bridge for Alton and Raiden to finally get over their insecurities andcome together like they've wanted for years and Lane just happens to even up being more than a bridge and developed a bond with both men and helped them bond as well. But I wish there was more Alton and Raiden interactions. I know the book is called Lane but I felt like Alton was left out alot and Lane and Raiden had more scenes and more on page development than Alton and Raiden were allowed to have when they were the ones who fell for each other years prior. I felt their relationship with the three of them was more told then shown. But don't get me wrong there was lots of sweet and hot moments between all three beautiful men but I felt like I just wanted more. I enjoyed the storyline and even shed some tears but definitely read the books in order and even the books before this one from this universe as there are a lot of names and other characters that won't be totally understood with not reading previous books. I'm excited for Sheldon's book next and I'm hoping we get the more romantic and developed relationship between him and his love interest since that one seems more like an MM romance. I enjoyed this journey with Alton, Lane and Raiden and will dive into the next one to see what happens to our favorite mafia men.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 5 in the East Dremest Mafia. I have only read book 4, but I don't think it's necessary to have read the other books before this one. I don't actually recall Lane from previous books, but mayeb that's just me!

Last year, lane's mother passed away. He then had nothing holding him to his fake father (his words) so he runs and goes to said fake father's nearest and biggest rival. Raiden is a guard to that rival. And Alton is the doctor who patches everyone up. Raiden and Alton have danced around enough and Lane sees himself as the brige between the three of them.

I loved this, so much MORE than Barrett (which I really liked!)

Loved that we hear from all three men. Loved we get what happened with Raiden and Alton before. Loved that they all have very different history. Loved that they were all at different emotional points along the way in their relationship. Loved that there was only smexy times with all three of them. Raiden was VERY clear on that topic! Lots of smexy times!

Loved that Lane and Alton waited out Raiden in his grief. Hated that he had the grief in the first place, as that new bad guy I did not see coming! I don't think Lane did either.

There is a good deal on on page violence. I do think it is needed in these books. Espeically when Lane gets hold of the bad guys! These men work hard, play hard and fall hard.

I still need to make time for Jordan, Vail and Hartley though. I loved Jordan here, he was very much the Mafia boss but I know he has a softer side, due to his men, and I need to see more of that.

Looking forward to whoever may be next! Love watches these hard men fall!

I’m a huge sucker for MMM romances. It’s my favorite coupling since I’m a huge fan of poly romances. The way that Michelle Dare writes Lane, Alton, and Raiden’s relationship was so beautiful.

“𝘞𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶,” 𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺. 𝘞𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

What I really loved was how Lane was the one that brought them all together. I’m a huge fan of one of the characters bringing all characters together.

I really loved the dynamic of the story how we get their story but also we get the mafia vibes, which this author does such an amazing job every single time I’ve read any of her books.

I loved that we did get a glimpse of Lane’s past. I also loved that we got a little humor in the story too. I love the mix of a doctor and mafia vibes too. I love how we got some of the sensitive parts from all three of them. This was such an amazing story.

I cannot wait for Sheldon’s story! I can’t wait to see how his story plays out. I also really loved how we got to see some of the other characters from the previous books. Also, I loved how Jordan is. He cracks me up so much. He’s so entertaining for me.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I don't recommend reading this book unless you have read all the other books first in the series before this one. You will get lost otherwise.

I was so happy for this book to come out. I was hoping that Lane would get his story and so glad that he did. This is a MMM read along with some Mafia stuff going on but it keeps you hooked. I mean who would not want to read about a bodyguard, a doctor and Lane all getting together? :)

Lane is adjusting to his new family and a place where he belongs. He is thrilled that he does get to spend time with his nephews that he didn't realize he had and it's an adjustment to get used to after the way he was previously treated by his old family. He lust after the guard and starts to lust after a doctor but he needs to know where he will fit in.

Raiden can't help how he feels toward Lane and he also still has feelings for the doc, Alton but he doesn't make a move on any of it. He doesn't think he can. When things get cleared and he gets what he needs from his boss, he decides he will do something. He just hopes it doesn't backfire on him.

Alton can't help but still lust after Raiden but when he meets Lane, he doesn't understand. He isn't sure where he would fit in with the two of them and doesn't think that he deserves either one of them. He just patches up people and makes them better.

All three of them have a lot of discussing to do and figure out things but they must do it together. When others try to take away or come in between them, things are about to change.

Such a great story and one that keeps you hooked into the story. I love how it all plays out and feeling connected to the characters.

A decent mafia story this was not. It had the set up to be a decent mafia romance, but was way too dramatic to actually bring it home. I'm really not sure how the author managed to make the spicy scenes clinical in nature, but it seemed like a step-by-step guide instead of a scene that's supposed to be intimate and sexy. Which is hard to do when the spice could quite literally write itself with an MMM love triad. So my whole reason for even reading this book was kind of shot. Also - the plot is based around what has to be the weirdest mafia organization ever. And the gayest. They prioritize emotional vulnerability - which really doesn't scream mafia to me. All of the polyamorous couples really flaunt and tell everyone around their business at every turn. Seems the norm is multiple partners. Either there's something in the water, or it's just too good to be true and even the fictional world is stretching things.
You really need to read these books in order if you want to have any semblance of an idea of what's going on in a larger picture sort of way and whose interconnected and coupled up. Even if you read the books in order of the series, it might be hard to keep track of everyone because there are so many characters. And each love connection from another story is a polyamorous couple. Given that there are a lot of books in the series, that's a lot of sword crossing and trying to remember whom goes with who.
I didn't hate it, but I don't think I'll be reading any others from this series moving forward. But hey - it might just be me. I didn't dislike it so much that I would suggest skipping it.

Omg totally lost myself in this book
I’ve gotta say I’m a huge fan of Michelle Dare and every time she brings out a new book it’s always my favourite and this one is no different
In this one, we meet Lane, Alton and Raiden. And their story is just delicious. I’ve got to say Lane is by far my favourite he just lives life. He’s one of those people who you like instantly like, who can charm the pants off anyone. And he is driving Raiden up the wall because although Ray is interested in Lane, he’s not doing anything about it so Lane is off hooking up and just enjoying life. Lane isn’t sure what he wants to do yet, but he knows he wants to work for Jordan. He just needs to impress him. Then we’ve got Dr Alton who has feeling for Raiden but because he is a patient Alton won’t act on it and Raiden felt Dr Alton wasn’t attracted to him because he tried to kiss him once and Alton refused him. But can Alton play that line against Lane??
This book has everything, it has heartbreak, It has danger. It has people being injured and coming under an attack from an unknown source. This book has everything you could need. The chemistry between Lane Alton and Ray is off the charts. My heart just felt so happy when these three were together. They have such a good connection, the three of them working as a unit. I just couldn’t put this book down. And when Ray lost his voice, my heart was broken. A fantastic read.

This story was between Lane, Alton and Raiden. Raiden is one of Jordan’s trusted guards, Lane is the uncle of one of Jordan’s lovers, and Alton is the mafia doctor. As we all know Michelle Dare loves a good thropple and this story follows suit.

This one was good. I enjoyed Lane and how resilient he was from all the trauma he’s been in his past. He has really embraced his new life with Jordan and his found family. Lane has asked Jordan if he could become his new second in command and Jordan, begrudgingly allows him to train for the job. As what usually happens when your dealing in illegal activities, another foe has come to Fuck Shit Up and now everyone must band together to figure out who the latest villain is.

My only gripe is when all the shit hit the fan, Alton decides he doesn’t want to be tracked and kept tabs on. I mean, does he not realize that he was inevitably the weak link? He was exactly what the villain needed to get inside and it could have all been avoided if he would’ve allowed them to track his ass. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Jordan Altair Sr has a pair of twin bodyguards, Reghan and Raidon Sutton. Reghan recently got his HEA with Barrett and Raidon feels alone without his brother constantly by his side. Raidon had been lusting after Dr. Alton Keeley, Jordan’s on-call doctor, but he felt rejected when he tried to kiss Alton while he was getting patched up and Alton pulled back because they were at work. Now they try to ignore each other.
And along comes Lane. Youngest some of one of Jordan’s rivals, he’s Harley cousin on their mother’s side. When Lane’s mother dies and Jordan has to take out his father and brothers, Harley asks Jordan to move Lane into their building.
Seeing which way the wind blows, Lane is now happy to insert himself into the middle between Alton and Raiden and pull them into a happy throuple. Bullets fly as they do in East Dremest and there are guards for Alton to save and a threat to the three of them.
Hopefully we will see more in this series, Sheldon needs his HEA

I absolutely love the Dremest universe! All of these guys are amazing. I feel I have waited so long for Raiden (I haven’t, I just have thought about him a lot). I love MMM books and Michelle always did an amazing job writing these 3. I have loved this mafia series since the start and I feel that nobody can do a series better than the author has!

I really love the Dremest universe and all of the mafia aspects. What I love most is the twists and turns that this series always seems to have. I love how each book touches on the other characters in the series as well. If someone didn’t know who a character was at the start, they do when they are relevant to the story and plot. I love the character building, plot, and the spice.

If you like MMM mafia with great plot, spice, and great supporting characters, I highly recommend this book. Actually, I recommend all books by Michelle in the Dremest world because they’re amazing!

We met Lane when Jordan ended the only family he knew, fast forward and Lane is still living in Jordan's building. Now he has Jordan and co.'s trust, he wants to do more and that includes his attraction to Raiden and now Dr Alton Keely.
Whilst Raiden has longed for the Dr since his shooting, with Lane it was a new developing, and after Reghan got his HEA, I was looking forward to seeing how Raiden's relationship developed.
I loved Lane's attitude and you can see how free he was after escaping his family, some of his actions had me laughing and I wished I was a fly on the wall when he was involved in one meeting.
I really enjoyed this book and whilst it was full of action, at times I felt myself tearing up when the bullets hit to close to home.
The more I read the more I learnt about Raiden, Lane and Alton and whilst it was hard to get their HEA, it was worth it and now with Sheldon's next, I hope he now stops pacing the hallways

This is only the second book that I’ve read from this author and I loved it. The way the author brings the three men together and the way their relationship develops is different to the previous book, with the relationship only able to function if all men are involved. It takes Raidan and Alton a while to understand where they really fit in the relationship, but the three men find ways to help each other feel included and the relationship works out beautifully. It took me a couple of chapters to really get into the story, but then I couldn’t put it down. I could really feel the intense affection between the three men; it was very loving and quite beautiful. There is quite a sad event in the story, which spans several chapters, but the story ends with the three men happy in their relationship. Great book!

Another trip back to Dremest. I love this world that Michelle has created. We now have a whole cast of characters. Everyone is interconnected and I loved getting to see all the familiar faces.

Lanes book focuses on Lane of course and his two men, Alton and Raiden. We’ve recently met Lane but we’ve known Alton and Raiden for awhile. Alton is the teams doctor and Raiden is a guard for Jordan. It’s been nice getting to see the guards get their love stories

These three fit so well together. We’ve been getting to see Alton and Raiden fawn over each other but Lane was the bridge needed to piece them all together.

I will say that Michelle put me through it with this book. Definitely had my tearing up. I felt like this book was heavier on the plot moving and lower on spice. I enjoyed the action and how much of a
Softie Jordan has become.

OUTSTANDING! Lane, Alton and Raiden are three of the nicest thugs, ever. Raiden, has been crushing on Dr Alton for years. Dr Alton has feelings for Raiden, but doesn't date patients. Lane, is new to the found family and is crushing on both men. The forbidden, the unknown, the dangerous, the questionable, the likeable, the sweet, the totally insane all go into making up a day in these men's lives. Once they get started, navigating their relationship is a challenge to them professionally and personally. Michelle has created amazing characters and relationship conflicts that help the men grow and own who they are. Lane, is my new favorite. This is a fantastic series with men who are totally hot, dedicated, loyal, dangerous and sweet. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really like the mafia found family vibe in these books. The characters are as sweet as they are violent and somehow that combination works just fine for me. Lane was a lot sassier than I anticipated but that just made this book more fun. The three main characters fit well together and I like how much we saw of everyone else as well.
I was a little put off by the pacing. The beginning of the relationship feels super rushed with Lane practically throwing himself at Alton without really knowing him at all. There were some things I wished the author had shown and not told but all in all I really enoyed getting back into this world and reading more about this group of interesting and a little unhinged people.

This is my absolutely favourite mafia series. I’m not usually the biggest mafia fan as not overly keen on the violence side of the stories. I really love that that part is very small in comparison to the human side of the story. Those parts are well written, fairly short and not overly gratuitous. It’s a really good balance.

I was really interested in Raiden’s story, I know the book title is Lane but I kinda thought I knew what his deal was. Raiden and Alton seemed much more mysterious. Raiden is very much the protector just like his twin brother. Those traits to his personality are strong and he manages them well most of the time. It was fun to read when he had those few moments of temper and let his emotions take over.

Alton was the most unknown for me and he fit in well with his two men. I loved that he had lines he wouldn’t cross in terms of his job, he’s doing it his way and won’t compromise on his work ethic. He’s a sensitive soul.

Lane was much more mafia boss than I thought he had in him. He needed to find himself a role and that he does. He’s overly confident at times but it’s fun to see how he interacts with Jordan and he’s definitely able to back it up.

Anytime with Jordan on the page is a delight to read, with each book in the series his character evolves and becomes more complex and a little lighter, I still wouldn’t want to cross him as he’s ruthless but he is becoming more fun!

Their story is definitely a journey with lots of ups and downs, there’s some darkness to their tale but it’s handled well and definitely adds to the depth of the story. The chemistry is sizzling hot and we definitely could have had a few more of those scenes, this author is brilliant and writing all the spice.

I really did enjoy this book and I cannot wait for the next in the series. I think Sheldon’s story is going to be brilliant.

Oh, I was so much looking forward to "Lane"! I absolutely love it! The "East Dremest Mafia" series started with the stories of Jordan Sr and his partners, Vail and Hartley. Somewhere in the first 3 books we get to meet the guards protecting the Mafia Boss and his family. Somewhere in the first 3 books we get to meet Alton, the Doc, who patches them up and takes care of them when they get hurt. Somewhere in the first 3 books we start to want to know what's going on with the guards. And just like that you get invested!
"Lane" is book 5 and it's Lane's, Raiden's and Alton's story. Raiden and Alton have a past. Things didn't work out back then but now Lane could be the bridge between them.
“Aren’t you going to kiss me?”
“I’ve only been waiting years for another chance.”
“Are you going to let me?” Alton’s arms went around my neck.
“You can do anything you want to me, Ray.”

The pieces start falling into place. There's big emotions, banter, need, want, desire. And long talks. There's Jordan Sr. and his unique sense of humor. Oh, I love this man!
“You’re all business when you need to be. It’s one of the reasons I’m glad to have you. Now get the hell out of my office before I do something that will irritate me, like offer to get you a puppy too..."

There's an unexpected plot twist thingie that put tears in my eyes. There are bad guys, heartache and lots of fighting to get to their well deserved HEA...
“I love you,” I told them.
“I never knew it could be like this, that I would not only get to have you both, but that you’d accept all of me.”.

This was so great

There was so much going on

So much action and plot

This was so beautiful. The way Raiden, Lane and Alton came together was fantastic.

Lane is such a spitfire. I loved him. He truly was the fire that ignited the trio!

“Lane was the type of man who knew what he offered. He was confident, not cocky. Kind, not cruel.”

I was worried for Alton a bit, even though I knew things would be ok, I worried Alton might feel left out. Michelle was about to help him feel secure in the trio. Lane and Raiden did so great by him, all 3 worked so well together

“Where did I fit into all of this? Probably in the middle of them. That was where I’d love to be.”

My heart ached for Raiden, this was an incredibly emotional book at times.

I also loved seeing Lane stand up for himself towards Jordan, and find his place within the ranks. We got to see him learn from his mistakes and do better. It was wonderful to watch his growth.

“I love you,” I told them. “I never knew it could be like this, that I would not only get to have you both, but that you’d accept all of me.”

This series is wonderful, I love everything about it. The found family aspect is so beautiful. As much as Jordan complains he is going soft lol I think he loves every second lol

My heart was in my throat for so many moments of this book. So many ups and down, and still these three beautiful men found love and joy with each other. It was a wonderful book.

Their family is growing.

I can’t wait for the next book

So thankful for this arc!
