Kristina Brand does it again!
This author is an auto-buy author ever since I read her book "Shiver for Me". Once again, she made me fall in love with a whole new set of characters that I will not be able to forget. This book was the perfect combination of grief and heartache mixed with healing and love.
Book One in the Ridge Lane series follows our main characters, Sydney and Colin. After inheriting her nana's home, Sydney moves to Ridge Lane to turn her nana's house into her forever home. As she is unpacking, she finds a bunch of little kittens with no mom cat in sight. She decides to take the kittens to the local vet, where in walks Colin, this gorgeous man who just happens to be the veterinarian as well as one of her neighbors. There is only one issue: Colin is still dealing with the grief and loss of losing his wife five years prior and he is not looking for love.

My favorite things about this book are the character development/growth and the found family. This book focuses heavily on the topic of healing as we see both of our main characters learn to let go and move on from the trauma and grief that they have been holding on. We really start to see the characters grow into who they really are letting go of the shell they were hiding behind. Secondly, I absolutely adore the found family in this book. I fell in love with the neighbors/side characters as much as I did the main characters and I am so excited to read their future books. This was such a sweet story with just the right amount of spice, and I can't wait to have the next one in my hands.

What a beautiful start to The Ridge Lane series! I don’t know any other way to describe this book other than it feels like a warm hug and sometimes that is needed. You don’t need all the drama or crazy happenings you just need a warm hug that gives you all the feelings and My Forever delivers in that department.
Colin is reserved and has some walls up respectfully so as he lost his wife and love of his life five years ago. Colin is very much a golden retriever, veterinarian, animal lover but don’t be fooled. Ladies, he knows how to praise in the bedroom. He hasn’t been on the dating scene or even looking. Until, Sydney comes into his veterinarian clinic with the kittens she found after inheriting her grandmothers home. Sydney is instantly attracted to Colin and Colin to Sydney. You can’t deny that in their meeting you can sense the chemistry and attraction between the two of them.
Sydney makes quick friends with Jane and Ava in town. She begins to learn more about Colin through these ladies. Colin can’t get Sydney off his mind which is perfect because she just inherited the house next door.
Now there is a moment in true Kristina fashion that she throws something in there to keep you on your toes and it’s a moment that is true to Colin’s character and you would expect nothing less of Colin in that moment.
Kristina Brand delivers a beautifully written story with My Forever that crafts grief/loss, emotional scars, found family, insta attraction but not insta love which I throughly appreciated, spice, found family and gives you a small town beach vibe that leaves you just loving these characters and rooting for them and their happily ever after. The character growth and development? Perfect and I loved that you can see this throughout the story. I also appreciate how easy Kristina’s writing is to read and follow along with.
That last chapter gearing up for Book Two?! The tension and banter? Sign me up!

Holy smokes! I went in blind and it didn’t disappoint. This is about a widowed veterinarian and a neighbor romance. There is instant chemistry between both characters that is undeniable and as things grow the tension just gets better. One thing about Kristina Brands writing is, she pulls you in and you become addicted to the plot without the spice. It’s beautiful, it’s romantic, and then you get to the spice and shew…it’s steamy as heck. I was hooked from page one and I didn’t want to stop until I was done. Of course, there is a suspenseful plot twist near the end and you really don’t want to put it down. It had me on the edge of my seat, needing to finish it. Don’t even get me started with the ending with Mark and Ava. I’m done for. I need more! If you’re looking for a beach, summer read filled with a great plot, amazing tension and spice, look no further! This is so beautifully written, it’ll be a story that stays with you after you close the book. Not to mention you will want the next one immediately!

This was such an adorable love story of Colin and Sydney! It was all about second chances, new beginnings, friendships and a happily ever after! All of the characters in the book played really great parts and had great story lines. I can’t wait to read book 2 and 3!

Loved the characters, personalities, and banter. This one kept me interested and excited to read the next pages. Great amount of spice to go with the story. Can’t wait to start My Never next and see where it goes and how much sizzle it entails.

Ahhh, this book was like a warm hug, it gave me the warm fuzzies and goosebumps several times. The character development and relationship building were both fantastic. I really felt connected to the two main characters and loved seeing their relationship build. There was a good bit of spice in this book that was done tastefully and beautifully. I cannot wait for the rest of the books in this series to come out!

This book is an easy, happy read! The FMC is starting over in a new town when she inherits a house from a family member who passed. MMC is the local stud muffin vet who has not been able to move on from his widow stage. These two characters find each other in a random situation, but their attraction is instant.. Great story line, spice is there and that happy ending!! I am already counting down until the 2nd book!!

This neighbors-to-lovers story about Sydney and Colin was so hot! It was so refreshing to hear the characters’ inner thoughts about how nervous each MC made each other. And Kristina can write the heck out of the male POV. I love that her characters SAY WHAT THEY FEEL to each other. And Kristina’s spice is top-notch! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
There is a twist, in true Kristina Brand fashion. She gets you hooked on this sweet love story, and then… BAM! She hits you with a jaw-dropping twist of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Kristina has done it again! What a welcome to Ridge Lane series opener!! Seriously, such a cute fun read with the perfect amount of spice. Couldn't love the character development enough and can not wait to see what else is in store for the Ridge Lane crew.
