The Illusion of High Reliability: From the Front Lines of Federal Destruction: Bureaucracy, Burnout, and the Illusion of Progress Inside the ... — A Federal Employee’s Unfiltered Memoir
The experiences detailed in this book resonate and certainly are shared by those who have worked within federal government (especially if you’ve ever worked in fed government workplace culture change). However, the book feels rushed, unedited (there is no chapter 4, typo?). The formatting is inconsistent and distracting.
This is one person’s experience. It should be approached as such, with the reader aware of the bias that comes with this type of storytelling.
