I live in the southern state of Victoria in Australia. I have been married to my husband for almost 34 years and though we’ve had our ups and downs like any normal couple, we’re still going strong.
We have two adult children, a girl and a boy whom we love dearly.
Australia is a vast country with tropical forests, vast deserts, and sweeping plains. Due to the lack of water and vast aridity, a large part of the country is uninhabitable, and most of the population lives along the coastlines. Although Australia can be harsh, I find it to be a wonderful country.
I love my country, the changing landscapes and the friendly people.

When I told my man I wanted to self-publish he immediately started researching how to do this. I am lucky because he did an internet marketing course a while ago and thanks to his knowledge we decided to create our own publishing platform.

In the books I’ve read about abusive relationships they aren’t in the sibling arena. It’s not that I’ve avoided the familial abusive relationship, it’s just I haven’t read any. This being my first experience, it was definitely intense.
Emily and her brother Chris live and work on the McCade Ranch. Chris controls the wages they make and is gone without a word as to where he is going for extended periods of time. Emily for the most part has to fend for herself when all she wants is the companionship of her brother, her only living relative. When Emily starts to question Chris, things immediately start going south.
Cole and Adam McCade have been watching Emily since she arrived at their ranch at the age of 17. They know she's the one for them, but wait until the right time in order to approach her. Years have passed and they notice the changes in Emily's demeanor when her brother starts disappearing more frequently. Questioning her won't work, so they decide it's time to show her their true feelings and earn her trust.
This was a classic tale of a damsel in distress waiting for her white knight(s), but with the sexiest cowboys you'll ever have the pleasure of reading about. Emily goes through much abuse throughout the story, both physical and emotional. She's a petite woman, but with a very brave spirit. She has abandonment issues, so it makes it hard for her to trust. Cole and Adam are determined to change that way of thinking. They are protective, caring and the kind of men you can't help but fall in love with immediately.
Becky Wilde knows exactly what women want in a man and delivered it in her writing with emotional clarity. The title of the book is quite appropriate to the story since Emily does get ‘saved’ in more ways than one. The sex was beyond stimulating and very refreshing in that it didn't seem redundant. It's an unfortunate thing for men in the real world because the men in this tale have definitely raised the bar. I would love to know what's next on the horizon for this talented author.
Recommended reading for those seeking a classic romance with the most passionate and affectionate cowboys you'll ever meet.
At seventeen Emily moved with her brother to the McCade ranch, four years later Adam and Cole want to know what has happened to the vibrant young lady who first walked through the door and now has become withdrawn and timid.
Emily's brother Chris has changed dramatically, using her as a frequent source to take out her frustrations. Once Adam and Cole figure out what has been happening, they are ready to stake their claim on Emily. They have been waiting for her to grow up and now at twenty-one they want to prove to her that they are worthy of the love they know she has for them.
I have been searching for this book for awhile, could not remenber who wrote this story when I read it a couple of years ago. Overall a good story, a bit rushed I thought in some areas.
I never get spanking fetishes after a woman has been abused. It just annoys me and doesn't make sense.
I also hated just how young Emily was. A decade age difference really isn't a big deal but when the girl is 17-19, it really, really is. Especially, if the girl comes from an abusive back ground.
Emily did not act like an abused girl. And I do mean a girl. She acted very young, and she was.
The grammar and spelling was terrible too. I believe Emily's age changed a couple times in the book and not just because she had a birthday either. This book really annoyed me.
I liked how the author handled the timeline and the dv issue without making a huge deal, but just letting the reader know that the heroine was injured by her own family and what the heroes did to remove the danger from her life.
I gave this 2 stars because, although the story itself was probably a good 3 stars worth, the book had many mistakes and misspellings, improper grammar, etc. Not up to this author's usual standards. It could all be fixed, take out a gratuitous sex scene or two, and you would have a pretty good 3 star+ book.
For an Aussie, Becky Wilde does write some creditable 'American western' romance. But, I would start out with another one of her books, and her 'Passion Victoria' series is not bad at all.
In one case, Emily just turns 18 years old, then a couple of pages later she is said to be 21 years old, but no time has been accounted for that would add two whole years. I don't know who edited this mess, but someone else needs to do it.
And - there was a certain ick-factor to the age difference between an 18 year old, innocent girl who had just been severely beaten by her brother, and a 28 year old NOT innocent guy who shares women with his brother. Now, a 23 year old woman and a 28 year old guy seems better to me... but let the woman heal up some first!!!
Maybe I should reduce this to 1 star???? I won't be reading this one again.

Plot was interesting, but the writing seemed weak and there were some inconsistencies. The story starts out with Emily as a 17 year old and then turning 18 before the first chapter ends. Not sure if Kindle formatting left something out but suddenly in chapter two the brothers who own the ranch her brother and she are working on are actively pursuing her. There's no mention that 4 years had passed until chapter three.
The sex scenes were decently written but minor things such as wording/phrasing had me rolling my eyes or jarring me out of the story. Then when Emily is in danger I had to question some of the actions of the brothers and the bad guy (i.e. how did the bad guy expect the brothers to find out about his demands? No note was mentioned.). Pass.
In some parts, the sentence structure and grammar reminded me of grade school writing. The version I read gave no indication that they were skipping forward 4 years until their ages were mentioned, and things seemed rushed throughout the book (with exception to the intimate scenes: they were taken slow). The plot was decent, descriptions of the setting and less repetition of some words would have made it an ok piece. It's not a piece of work that I would recommend.
Actually I rate it 1.5 stars. At times I felt like two different people were writing it. I'd get into a groove of reading it and enjoying it then suddenly the writing style changed. The love scenes were hot but I had a hard time picturing a virgin immediately interested in menage and rough sex.
I didn't care for this book. When I read the synopsis for the book, I was all for reading it. The book had no depth and read like a children's book. She told the story, but didn't show it. It was full of grammatical errors that took away from the story.
I hate to say bad things but i would not recommend this to anyone.

I felt so sorry for poor Emily because she was getting abused all the way around. But, the strength and love of the McCade brothers saw her through some difficult times. Brava!
I enjoyed the book very much, it has a good storyline and great characters. However there are so many typos, need to have more proof reading before publishing.
