THE SEAS OF MARS

Rate this book
Life evolved more rapidly on Mars than it did on Earth, and self-awareness soon developed in one of the more advanced animal lineages. These animals quickly developed a civilization, becoming the most widespread and dominant inhabitants of Mars. At the time civilization first appeared, shallow seas covered a large part of the Martian surface. Icecaps occurred at both poles, and the portions of Mars where seas did not exist were mostly covered with vegetation, including forests made up of spindly trees that soared several hundred feet above the ground. This is the story of a young Martian who set out to travel throughout a portion of Mars (or Auuss as they called it), recording this experiences in a journal along the way. His journey took him to a number of places along the Sea of Storms and the Sea of Clouds.
