ambivalent... the war part was crazy good, BUT the flashbacks and the Bastion siege were kind of boring, although still interesting.

This webnovel is amazing. I haven’t read many. But out of the ones I’ve read. This is a clear second to Lord of the mysteries. Even during my reading slump I still found the strength to read the daily chapters. Unbelievable Hype scenes coming out of this long long volume. One day off and back to it tomorrow👍👍👍👍👍👍. This. This volume gave the much needed flashbacks, action and conviction (D:) that was building up for one of the main casts.

Although it was from a lens of someone forgotten, I could not help but feel proud seeing so much clear growth towards the characters in the main casts. It was so tear-jerking to see all of them go through those hardships and evolve into such magnificent personalities. The action scenes also did not disappoint. Although I thought as the story progress action scenes would become repetitive or bland, it was quite the opposite.

G3 somehow made the action scenes in this volume and the last one even more hype than before, so much so that I almost screamed at 3 am for it....(thank god I didn't since it would have woken up everyone in my house...).

Now waiting for Vol 10 to be up on goodreads so I can post my own thoughts on it!

Review shadow slave vol 9 Throne of War. Satu kata yang menjelaskan chapter ini, "Peak!". Alur perangnya, flashback dan backstorynya, actionnya, segala aspek di volume ini amat sangat peak. Rain dapat banyak porsi cerita disini and there's a big reveal about her. Dan sama seperti cerita tentang perang lainnya, war is just a waste of humanity, of everything perhaps. Dan disini Sunny bareng Nephis dibantu kawan-kawannya bisa menghentikan perang. Masih banyak ke-epic-an lain di volume ini yang sangat sayang kalau cuma dibaca sekilas.

Peak fiction, truly! I spent a lot of time reading this one and G3 does not miss with his work. It is one of my favourite series, and I truly love the development of the characters, every victory with every loss. Every fight that leads to the grander scheme. He introduces the bigger world so easily, and it is always so engrossing. G3 deserves a break for all the work he puts in. If it was not for school, I would be incapable of putting it down. So excited for the next one.

Relationships yay! Aura farming yay! War arc yay!
V některých částech zase trošku zdlouhavý ale moc jich nebylo. Chyběli mi tam trochu interakce se zbytkem cohorty.

Knihu jsem ale nemohl odložit takže jsem jí přečetl v rekordním čase a několik dní jsem šel spát mezi 3-4 ráno 😅 Takže zábavný jak 🐷

Disappointing even though the stakes were the highest they have ever been in the series.
A pacing nightmare of an arc that is supposed to be the most important one yet.
Had to revise multiple parts of chapters because of plot holes.
fights that make no sense.

There is a decline in the level of the story and writing after the seventh volume. The prolongation of events and other points of view that are not necessary in the story, just as prolongation of chapters, is starting to kill the work.
