Mael has a dark past and the only light in his life comes in the form of a woman that matches his dark and her name is Lia. He never expected her but he’s not willing to let her go and will do anything to keep her safe.
Lia has a stalker and a love interest that both feel the same. Could they be? She’s willing to lay everything on the line for what her heart tells her.
Mael and Lia are willing to lay everything on the line to preserve what they’ve found despite the danger surrounding them. Their romance is dark and passionate.
This was an intriguing read with twists and turns, secrets and all the smutty and dark love I’ve come to be obsessed with. Triggers galore so mind those but the story kept me glued to its pages. I loved it.

⭐️⭐️.5 disappointing stars
I know, I know... never judge a book by its cover. But seriously... that cover? 🔥 And the promise of a smut-filled stalker romance? Count me in. At first, it delivered...
Mael Beckett is a dangerous man, a hitman. While watching his next target, he spots the man’s daughter, Lia Whitlock, and boom... 💥insta-obsession. So, of course, Mael starts stalking Lia. Which, let's be real, is what I came for. 😅
I usually give the FMC some grace in these types of dark romances because questionable choices come with the territory. But Lia? One of the weakest, most clueless heroines I’ve ever read. 🤦♀️
Mael doesn’t just stalk her from afar, he lets her know she’s being stalked. We're talking showing up in her bathroom while she's showering 🚿, sneaking into her bed while she's asleep 😳... and awake. Meanwhile, he’s also wooing her in the daylight, meeting her at the coffee shop she works at, dating her, sleeping with her. All while continuing his full-time gig as her nighttime stalker.
And then, plot twist, they start sleeping together as stalker and stalkee too! Except Lia doesn't realize the man creeping into her bed and the man she’s dating are the same person. I wish I was joking.🤦♀️
This wasn’t a once-or-twice mix-up either. If Lia wasn’t in his bed, then Mael (in stalker mode) was in hers. And it took half the 500 page book for her to connect the dots. Despite the fact that Mael is the only man in her life who’s as massive as her stalker. She didn’t recognize his voice? His scent? They had actual conversations!
It was just way too far-fetched for me to even try to suspend disbelief. And don’t get me started on how weak Lia was. Mael kept telling her she was smart and strong, and I just kept yelling at the page, WHERE?! WHEN?! 📣🙄
I can handle long books, but only if the plot holds me. This one? Almost 500 pages of Lia being painfully naïve and frustratingly spineless. I probably should’ve DNF’d... but I held out hope for a twist that never came. 😩

Lia’s life is painfully ordinary—coffee shop shifts by day, and something much darker by night. A masked intruder visits her room, and the most unsettling part? She doesn’t run. She responds. And she has no idea who he is. It’s creepy, it's confusing, and you feel that tension on every page.
Then enters Mael. 🔥 She spots him one night while out with her best friend, and the connection is instant. He's intense, quiet, watching her like he already knows. And when they start spending time together? Whew. He reads her so well it’s unnerving—in the best possible way.
I won’t spoil anything, because this book is full of layers, but both Lia and Mael are shaped by trauma. Mael’s past is especially brutal, and honestly, it hurt to read some of it. He carries so much darkness… but the second he sees Lia, she's it for him. Game over. He’s completely obsessed, devoted, possessive as hell, and would destroy the world to keep her safe. He’s the kind of hero who makes it very clear: you’re mine, and we will be together—no exceptions. (I ate it up, obviously.)
Lia is such a beautiful mix of fragile and strong. She’s been through a lot and still keeps going. With Mael, she feels safe, and in turn, she gives him a peace he’s never had. They balance each other perfectly—two broken people who finally feel whole together.
Have to mention Maels brother Theo - the bond they have is unbreakable & i wouldn't mind another book about Theo getting his happy ever after.
The V.Ts writing ? Great , character development? Spot on - I would say the story /twists were predictable but this didnt take away from the story at all. I really enjoyed this.

This book checked all my boxes and I loved it so much! Mael was unapologetically obsessed with Lia and knew he wanted her immediately without reservation. He was her stalker, her lover, her friend and her protector. I loved the intensity and passion that he and Lia shared. It was sweet, romantic, possessive and deliciously spicy. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to read Theo's book hopefully in the future!

okay i wanted to get in this book and slap the shit out the heroine for being so dumb and clueless.
this book just didn’t hit the mark. the heroine felt incredibly immature more like a moody high schooler than a grown woman—and her decisions made me want to facepalm every other chapter. i get flawed characters, but this felt like pure cluelessness. the inner monologue? cringe central. it tried to be deep or edgy, but mostly came off as forced and juvenile.
and don’t even get me started on the hero. he was just…meh. supposed to be a dark, intense stalker-type, but he had none of that unhinged, obsessive edge i love in my morally grey men. no tension, no fire, no real danger — just felt flat and forgettable.

I went into this book completely blind—no blurb, no expectations—just trusting in V.T. Do’s writing (because let’s be real, she never misses), and I’m SO glad I did. This story had me hooked from the very first page. The flow? Perfection. The pacing? Spot on. The journey from strangers to stalker to lovers? Absolutely perfect. 🙌🏼
Lia was a great FMC, but for the first time ever… I was jealous of her. That’s how much I wanted Mael for myself. He’s intense, obsessive in the best way, and impossible not to fall for. The chemistry between them? 🥵
Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say this: the ending gave me the sweet, satisfying vengeance I didn’t even know I needed. It was everything.
And Theo? That man needs his own book ASAP. I really hope he gets one! 👀

if you love a good insta love, stalker romance the immediately add this to your tbr !! this book literally just explains why i love stalker romances and the insta love trope. it’s straight to the point. you don’t got to worry about the mmc / fmc cheating or getting with someone else that’s not the love interest in a MF book 😍 don’t get me wrong i love my smutty reverse harems / why choose but sometimes i just need a good obsessive mmc who doesn’t share ya know ??

he was hired to assassinate lia’s father. he was supposed to be getting information for his handler and carry through with the contract. but one look at lia and he’s instantly obsessed 🤩 mans literally forgot about what he was sent to do LOL !! nothing else mattered besides getting to know lia and her everyday schedule. lia is just an innocent character who knows absolutely nothing about her father’s lifestyle. she doesn’t know he’s one of the biggest shareholders for a trafficking ring. or that he even has connections in high places. she just knows she doesn’t want to be simply handed things instead she was to work for it and earn it herself 🥹 i love her so much !! she was so conflicted and didn’t trust her instincts when it came to her stalker and mael. she felt such a strong connection with both not knowing they’re the same person 🫠 the way i just want to wrap her up and protect her at all cost omg 🫂

Wow... What an absolutely smashing book this one was. I mean, I'm a fan of VT Do and I'm always instantly excited when a new book is about to come out.
And then more than the excitement, the book manages to tick all the boxes and more from what you were expecting... Ahhh... I just couldn't put this one down and I loved the fact that it was 450+ pages of crazy obsession, devotion and action that definitely kept me hooked.
This book definitely can be said is like that meal that has surprises wrapped up inside it and as you go devouring it, you're pleasantly shocked and excited to find a new flavor with each bite.
Mael is an obsessed man. But add utmost devotion to it and a man who's so dark with darker past and Secrets yet.... Ahhhh.... Yet is SWEET... FREAKING SWEET ONLY TO HER. I MEAN..... OH MY MY....

When I started this one, I was swept away by the two sides of Mael we get to see through Lia's eyes. One version she's not aware of who's her stalker and the other, the sweetest man who relentlessly pursues her and is the absolute best.
But she's aware and can feel someone watching her. Inspite of her fears and calls for help, she's left wandering if the danger is real or not. Not having any idea how closer the real danger actually is.

I liked how we get the whole seduction and the obsession and the devotion side of Mael which is definitely a constant throughout the book.
He would do any freaking thing for Lia, go to any ends and in short has no boundaries that he won't cross for her and to keep her safe.

This one had those moments that subtly make you gasp and heart race, When your dark desires and your yearning for the sweetness are both met. But you are not ready to face the truth behind it all.
The spice in this one is so freaking melting hot... That one scene where she's thinks she's dreaming of the man with unforgettable eyes but he's actually eating her out.... OH MY... There are so many scenes where their chemistry just made me go crazy for them.🔥🔥
I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Especially when certain dark secrets come out. And when Mael goes on full destroy mode... I was so freaking shocked by the action filled twists we get.
That part is done so well. I mean not just this happens and that but the full planning and execution. Everything that Mael carefully plans like a game of chess to take down his biggest enemy and once and for all destroy the monster of his past. Ahhh... I was barely hanging onto the ride when it was all happening.

Theo, Mael's brother was such a dayumm amazing partner to Mael and I loved their brotherly bond and their friendship and the way they were always - Us against the World kinda energy. They both have my heart.
I kid you not... This book is such a delicious read if you love your dark Romance with a Stalker that's both sweet but only to her and extremely deadly to others, especially whoever tries to take her away from him with so much of freaking spicy times that will have you melting, packed full of action, then this one is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ. Wow... What an absolutely smashing book this one was. I mean, I'm a fan of VT Do and I'm always instantly excited when a new book is about to come out.
And then more than the excitement, the book manages to tick all the boxes and more from what you were expecting... Ahhh... I just couldn't put this one down and I loved the fact that it was 450+ pages of crazy obsession, devotion and action that definitely kept me hooked.
This book definitely can be said is like that meal that has surprises wrapped up inside it and as you go devouring it, you're pleasantly shocked and excited to find a new flavor with each bite.

So if you enjoy a spicy, smutty read with a little plot thrown in then this is for you.
MMC Mael and his brother Theo have had a rough childhood made even worse when their father claims the. Mael happens upon Lia and decides to stalk her, he has skills that lead him into her bedroom at night to watch her sleep, she calls him ‘stalker’ however, during the day his persona is superman…naw! It’s not he just visits,the coffee shop where Lia works and instigates a relationship. As the story progresses secrets, lies and betrayals are revealed. Is this the deciding factor on their relationship? Is it the fact her stalker and lover are one of the same? Will fate interfere anymore?
This story was well written, the smut was most definitely smutting, the twists were an added bonus to their love story.

This definitely is a book to hit the şmüt lovers out there, with a decent amount of plot. The spice? 🥵 Well written. 😉 There is no BDSM or kinks in this one, but do not let that deter you for the spice aspect.
Lia is a 27 year old, who finished her degree in business but didn't want to work for the family. So instead, she is working at a local coffee shop, trying to get her life together or a passion to inspire her.
Mael, well, he has a passion, obsession, and reason to breathe: Lia. He saw her on one of his jobs, and instantly knew she was his. She just needed to catch up to that fact. He slowly starts to insert himself into her world so that everything she does, he owns in some capacity. Eventually there is nothing in her world that isn't his.
First, I liked that Lia isn't a super young 20 something that is naive to the world. She is like most of us, just trying to figure shit out lol. I also enjoyed reading about her trying to juggle her emotions between her stalker and dating Mael in real life. She is more level headed than many FMC's can be in a dark romance, and didn't make annoying mistakes that seemed unreasonable.
My favorite chapters were from Mael's POV. His unwavering possessiveness and reasoning for 'owning' Lia cracked me up many times, and definitely swoon worthy in the unhinged manner most MMC's are in the dark romance category. I will say, Mael is not a morally grey vigilante, where he tries to do good for the world by getting rid of the bad guys. No, he doesn't care at all. He has his missions and doesn't care if innocents die in the process. Theo (his brother) has more of a moral compass, but if it was up to Mael....well...everyone would die.
You definitely can guess parts of what may happen in this book, but it didn't take away for the story for me. If you want an unhinged MMC and lots of great spice, pick this up. Warning...it is probably 60% spice and 40% plot. 👏 I 👏 AM 👏 NOT 👏 COMPLAINING 👏

Bad
If it wasn't for the subject matter I would have assumed this was written by a child. If it were shorter then maybe I wouldn't mind the horrible grammar and unbearably inconsistent characters and storylines, but it's not. I got about 30% in before I had to DNF because I was genuinely starting to get angry at how terrible it was turning out.
Minor spoilers here:
The FMC is just a complete idiot. She has a stalker and but not once does it cross her mind that this intense new man in her life, who had a tattoo of the flowers she's been receiving from her stalker might I don't know, BE HER STALKER!? This and so many many many other huge plot holes had me practically vibrating with frustration.
Characters didn't feel real, the "mystery" in the background was not enough to keep you enthralled and push through to find out (though I'm pretty sure I've guessed the ending right anyway).
Maybe I wouldn't be so harsh if this book didn't have such good reviews and recommendations but it did so I went in with high hopes only to have them all dashed immediately.
Very disappointed and I won't be reading this author again.

V.T. Do always delivers the goods, and can honestly do no wrong in my eyes!
I’ve been a major fan of V.T. Do and their writing style since discovering Hunter, the first book in their King’s men MC series, and honesty they are yet to disappoint me with anything I’ve read since, and Creep is no exception.
Creep weaves an intricate web of trauma, obsession, possession and love that all but consumed me whilst reading. The darkness is pitch black, gritty and in some parts uncomfortably raw as the story unfolds and takes a fist full of your emotions and pummels them!
The character progression is incredible and the reader can’t help but become invested as these characters navigate their way towards one another and try to find peace in a world that wasn’t the most accommodating of them.
Mael was obsessive stalker goals, and he and Lia’s story was one wild ride that I didn’t want to get off!

Wow! I'm shook. Mael was the absolute perfect MMC. Stalker is one of my favorite tropes. As is obsession. Mael fit both and then some. I loved that he was obsessed at first sight. I loved where VT took his obsession and possessiveness. Also how she had everything unfold. This was a long book, but it kept me riveted. Lots of dark and twisty things in this. And not all of them are good or spicy. Mael and Lia's pasts were full of trauma and pain. Mael used it for his profession. Lia was a little lost with no real direction. I loved that they brought true love and happiness to each other's lives. I mean, Mael does bring some stress to Lia's life as her stalker, but overall he brings more good. And in the end, it's all good. They find peace together. I'd love to see Theo get a book. I loved his character. This was epic and will be a definite re-read for me.

I enjoyed this story very much! Mael is… uhhhhh chefs kiss. I would like to hoard him to myself.
I was definitely hungry for more and more the further in I got. It was captivating and immersive.
The story was somewhat reminiscent of a certain cat and mouse duet (in the beginning) but that is alright with me.
The story was very well written and I gobbled up every little detail and plot twist like the greedy reader that I am. The romance was incredible and the spice was definitely hot enough to burn.

This was my first introduction to this author and I have to say, what an introduction it was. I was unable to put it down, leading me to finish it in just one day! I felt like I could hear Mael's voice and tenor in my head as I read. By the end of the book, I was grinning ear to ear. I have read lots of Mafia romance in the past, so I felt that some of the plot was a bit predictable, however, I was still dying to see what would happen. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and would recommend it to all dark romance lovers. I hope Theo gets a book in the future.

I didn't like lots of things, but somehow it hold my attention and I ended up kinda liking it.
A LOT unbelievable, but I went with the flow.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book, but after a while it got a bit repetitive and long. Mael is everything you could ask for in an obsessive stalker MMC. Do I now want a Theo story to get him his HEA? OF COURSE.
