I pause, unsure what my answer should be. But there’s only ever been one option. “Kill him,” I say.
Slate
Life’s taught me not to expect much. Handouts, fair treatment, a decent parking spot downtown. But dead last on that list? Lux Colombia-Clarke showing up at my door, looking like a damn fairytale with a score to settle.
Her proposal knocks me sideways: find the city’s most dangerous drug dealer, and she’ll make sure my sister gets what she needs. I’d be an idiot to refuse, but every time her eyes cut my way, something dark and electric stirs in me.
She’s trouble wrapped in silk, and I’d be wise to stay clear.
Good thing no one ever accused me of being wise.
Lux
Trust me, I can think of better things to do than begging a prime-parking-spot-stealing jerk for help. Like, a million better things. But this leather-clad biker may be the only way to help my brother. If I can endure the boulder-sized attitude he’s carrying around.
We had a deal. One that didn’t include feeling … safe. Protected. Happy. Like, wtf?
In no universe do we make sense together. He looks as out of place in a tuxedo as I do in anything other than vintage Chanel. But when we’re together, it’s like none of that matters.
Until, of course, it does. And then nothing will stand in the way of our epic mutual destruction.
Queen of Vengeance is book 2 in the Hand of Revenge series. It is not necessary to read book 1, Ace of Betrayal, but it will enhance the reading experience.
This story may not be suitable for everyone. Please see author's website for TWs.
Jessica Jude writes emotionally-charged kissing (among other things) books about royals and the elite. Her aim in all of her stories is to make you fall in love with the characters and use up box after box of tissues. Her characters are strong and independent, who make plenty of morally gray decisions. She likes her women fierce and her men possessive.
Her favorite scenes to write are arguments. She's been known to stir up drama in her own life when she gets bored, and her family is glad she has an outlet for her occasional Blair-Waldorfism. She lives in a big old house in the midwestern United States with her high-school sweetheart. She has dreamed of being an author since she was six and wrote her first book about a girl named Mary who got lost in the woods. Mary was eventually found, but sadly, the book was never published. Jessica is a homebody who loves to travel, a coffee candle junkie who doesn't drink coffee, and a very-loud-at-home introvert.
I have waited for this ARC since I finished book 1. The problems that each of the characters were having in the beginning of the book were so captivating that I couldn’t stop reading. Dual POV books always hit different because you get to know both sides of the story. This is another book that I tried to sit down to review, and the words just wouldn’t come to me. I loved the tension and angst between Lux and Slate. The way he instantly was prepared to protect her was amazing. “Bickering with her has become one of my favorite things to do.” That quote was one of my favorites. I found myself wishing the friend group had a bigger role in this book like it did in the last one. I ate up all the twists and turns in this story and could read about Lux and Slate for hours more. This world has such a hold on me and I am already impatiently waiting for book three. Which, if I might add, Jessica Jude did an AMAZING job setting up for.
I loved this love-story between Slate and Lux! 4/5🌶️on the spice 🫶. It was such a deep, emotional, and at times funny love story. I was wrapped into the plot the entire time wondering if he would finally make amends. The character building but also love between the two characters really made this story moving and heartfelt. This definitely wasn’t a hallmark love story! This story touched on several dark and emotional moments between the two characters and their worlds they live in that truly made this story believable. I think the real-world problems they both faced could make any reader feel connected to the characters. 10/10 recommend!
I was lucky enough to be able to read an ARC copy of this book, so thank you to Jessica Jude for that. I did not think that Lux would be my new favourite character, but here we are! Jessica is amazing at creating an intense, suspenseful atmosphere that keeps you engaged and guessing the whole time you’re reading. The characters, while frustrating at times, are all very likeable and so well thought out. I love this crazy lil friendship group!
I would recommend reading Ace of Betrayal first to see how much Lux’s character evolves. Can’t wait to read the next one!!
Huge thank you to Jessica Jude for having me on her ARC team! This was a really special opportunity for me!
3.5 stars and you have to hear me out because I feel like this review is going to sound a little harsh but it’s not a bad review!
This book was a fast and fun read! I got sucked in immediately and it maintained my interested. Jessica Jude wrote an extremely addicting plot. It picked up perfectly after book one and it was a great set up for book three! I do not believe that there were any major plot holes.
However, the storyline felt a little petty, childish and unbelievable. Granted, so did the first book but that book almost felt more believable. But this one felt like it was ten fold on the childish behavior. Like the dude took your parking spot and that is means for you to ruin his business? Grow up. Then your brother is hooked on drugs and you think you’re just going to infiltrate the drug scene and kill the biggest drug dealer when you’re a socialite who knows nothing about that life? NOPE. Plus the plot twist and how Lux handled it? Absolutely not. That is foul behavior. I was hoping since Lux was portrayed as such a classy character, this storyline would have been handled a little bit more maturity.
I didn’t mind Lux as a FMC. She felt a lot more relatable to me than Walker did in the first book but I wish I saw more growth from her. I feel like there was so much more potential for her to growth here and we just saw stagnant behavior from her instead. Like I get the plot twist was fucked up but her stooping that low with retaliation was very disappointing for me especially when she knew what Slate went through. Then she wouldn’t even hear Slate out for how long? If I was Slate I would have walked away and never looked back with that behavior. She was a 3.5 star character to me.
I really liked Slate as an MMC. He was the hot bad boy with the weight of the world on his shoulders and that is like the key to my heart lol. His backstory was devastating but you could see how trustworthy and loyal he was thanks to his trauma. I do like the growth he showed and especially loved his ending. However, how he handled somethings (IYKYK) is why he is a 4 star character to me.
Slate and Lux together though were an unlikely match but honestly I do believe they worked well together. I loved seeing their trust in one another grow and how they supported each other. Their relationship is honestly what I loved most about the book. They felt magnetic and I was hypnotized. As a couple, they were like a 4 star couple.
I was not a big fan of how a few things were touched on in this book such as Lux’s eating disorder. It felt like it was just brushed over and then never mentioned again. I feel like Jessica Jude missed a huge opportunity for growth in Lux’s character here and could have made a huge message about eating disorders. Like I would have loved to see Slate push her more about it and maybe see like Lux work on herself by seeing someone. Does that make sense? Another thing I was not a huge fan of was how drug use, overdose and dealing were brushed over. It felt like really sensitive topics were touched but not a lot of research or care was put into writing them. And don’t even get me started on Carter’s abuse and how Lux would just try and laugh it off. I did not think this was appropriate handling.
Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy this! What I loved, I loved. What I didn’t enjoy, bothered me but I didn’t hate. Would I suggest this book? Yeah, to some of my friends. I know my audience. Would I reread this? Maybe. Will I carry on with this series? Yes, absolutely.
⚠️ Here are my unhinged reading notes. Please proceed with caution as there may be minor spoilers. You have been warned. ⚠️
We’re back at it again and it’s just as petty!! Lux’s mom is an airhead. The dude’s a drug dealer… which means he’s certainly the wolf. *cues up the eppy of GOT where they chant shame* did this dude just ask to see his sister fucking naked?? Idc if you’re fucked up. Carter is a fucking loser. Lux needs to grow a backbone. Omg if Lux sells her house for this loser imma lose it. Is he really trying to fuck his way into getting his sister a doctor’s appointment? ✨ the consequences of your own actions ✨ @ 22%. Am I fucking crazy or did Lux just admit that her boyfriend is an abusive asshole and that she is glad that she is a good liar so her friends don’t know?? Lux is dumb as a doorknob if she thinks she’s going to take down some big bad drug dealer. *rolls eyes* I cannot. *rolls eyes so hard they fall out of sockets* This bitch thinks she is going on a sting operation??? This is not real. “Kill him.” Omg shut up. I don’t think Jessica Jude knows the cost of drugs… granted I don’t know shit about 10k of drugs but I know that it’s more than one vial worth of white powder 😂💀😂💀 Is this chick really asking for a gun then saying never underestimate the power of a short skirt and heels?? Listen, I don’t think this is any bit realistic for a drug dealer character involvement. Did this dude just kiss her after he caught her forcing herself to throw up??? Okay she brushed her teeth but still. I don’t think Jessica Jude knows shit about fuck when it comes to drugs. Carter has to be tracking Lux. I wish yall could see my stank face rn. I am cringing. Did this chick just admit to losing her virginity at the age of 12? I’m done here. EWWWWW. Big cringe. I wish you could see the facial reaction. @ chapter 34. Please reference facial reaction photo from last note. Audibly gags? THIS IS A UTI, YEAST INFECTION OR SOMETHING WAITING TO HAPPEN. Okay the end did feel like poetic justice.
This book was so good! I loved the tension and banter between Lux and Slate and it was fun to see them try to work together while also trying to stick to their own personal agendas. The plot twist/reveal at the end shocked me and was done so well, I honestly didn’t see it coming. This book is the second in a series, however, it is written so well as a standalone that you don’t need to read Ace of Betrayal first (although it definitely enhances the reading experience since you have more background on some of the other characters). I could not put this book down and cannot wait for book 3!! Thank you Jessica for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this amazing story!
Overall: Lux is undoubtedly the Queen of my heart after this book!! I loved her in book 1, and she was even better in this book! Her love for others, fighting for what she wants, and her grit make her so amazing!
Tropes + vibes: 🤍 enemies to lovers 🩷 bad boy x it girl 🖤 touch her + d!e 🤍 slow burn 🩷 dual POV 🖤 grumpy x snarky
Bookish Thoughts: I really loved Lux and Slate! After reading book 1 to get familiar with the characters, I was so excited to dive into Lux’s story.
Lux is truly a queen. She’s so graceful, so strong, and so stoic… until she meets Slate. She keeps her grace and strength, but the fact that this rugged bad boy helps Lux to find her soft side is so beautiful. I was obsessed with how much Slate was obsessed with Lux. The way he cared for her, helped her to feel safe and secure after so many years of fending for herself, was so warm and comforting. Don’t get me wrong, Slate was every bit of the tough hardass that I was hoping for in a bad boy, but his softness for Lux got me every time.
The plot line was dark and engaging. I spent the whole book on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out all the angles and players. 🕵🏻♀️ I also loved Briar and thought she was such a little sweetheart. 💕
The spice was definitely spicy in this story! So many great intimate moments! Slate being able to be a safe space for Lux after her history made these scenes even more powerful for the story.
And the ending? I see you Miss Jessica! Looking forward to book 3! ❤️🔥
Well Jessica Jude produced a BANGER! This book was fantastic! This book was giving romance suspense vibes and the way I ate it uppp! I was not prepared for this book to completely hook me and not let me go until I finished! I loved this book so much!
The socialite Lux has found out her brother is in some trouble and she is determined to take down a drug lord. But she needs help finding him. She knows the perfect guy. A man who stole her parking spot and lives on the other side of the tracks might be the key to finding the lord.
Lux has the perfect bargaining chip and no lengths will stop her from accomplishing her task!
But what happens when they fall for each other as they go on this mission? How will 2 people from completely different side of the tracks come together in such different worlds.
I devoured this book! If you love romantic suspense immediately add this book to your TBR!
Personally, this wasn't my cup of tea. I can't tell if this is a billionaire romance? A contemporary romance? A trauma / healing romance? A dark romance? Like ... What is it? 🤷♀️ I don't know.
To say Lux is the "Queen of Vengeance" is equal to categorizing Slate as a "bad boy." Just because he runs an auto shop, rides a motorcycle, and lives on the shady side of town doesn't classify him as a bad boy. Just because she has wealth and privilege and was severely offended 🙄 by Slate doesn't make her a serious, vengeful FMC.
The characters aren't working for me, and neither is the miniscule plotline. Lux goes from shallow popstar-wannabe to even shallower drug-dealer imposter-wannabe in the span of about five chapters. 🤦♀️ Further on, Lux is mugged in a gas station parking lot, but somehow miraculously manages to walk herself miles to get to Slate and then learns to fire a gun for the first time????? In what world does that work? 🤪 I understand this is fiction, but when based in real-world time and places you have to be at least a bit realistic. INCONCEIVABLE!!!!
Someone please explain this ending to me: I don't understand how Lux entertains the idea of seeing either of her ex-boyfriends (if you can call them ex-boyfriends) again after the obvious cheating, lying, and mental/physical abuse she suffered at both their hands. Or how the span of about three chapters she magically forgives Slate and moves on with their relationship! She supposed to be the one that holds a grudge ... Apparently not.
Worst quote of the book: Slate asks Lux, "You sure you can play the role of dumb blonde" Lux responds, "It's not a role." TELL ME YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!!!!!!!!! 🤬 I thought the days of "dumb blonde" jokes were over after Legally Blond 2 effectively destroyed them in front of the entire congressional committee? Guess Lux missed the memo.
I was excited to read this book, and I think I signed up because of the promised revenge plot and, of course, the "Gossip Girl" vibes. The beginning was good, and I was excited! Then the further I read, the more my excitement faded until I hit a snag. But I continued reading even though I struggled, y'know, because I wanted to give it a chance.
I finally had to stop, though, because it hit one of my biggest pet peeves, and I couldn't stand it. I had to pause my reading (first), and so I asked my buddy to spoil the rest for me. It didn't sound like that changed in the latter part.
Also, the whole socialite thing — I was expecting her to be hilariously snob, like my girl Basilia LeSpyre from Blood Trial, but I really shouldn't have, and that's my fault.
Lastly, I found the whole plot she hatched to find her brother's supplier as OTT.
Do I hate toxic people and relationships in books? They make my blood boil for sure, but I know they can be realistic, so no, not at all. My whole issue is, if you tell me a character is supposed to be smart or vengeful, then please don't make them do ~questionable~ decisions that contradict what their personality is supposed to be.
SWOON SCORE: NA
I liked how dedicated Slate was as a brother to his ill sister, but aside from that, he didn't really stand out to me.
SPICE LEVEL: NA
Didn't get to any spicy or intimate scenes between the two.
DID I LAUGH? Yes, I did laugh in the first chapter, maybe once or twice, and it made me excited about the book.
DID I CRY? In frustration, yes.
DO I RECOMMEND THIS? Not really. It's not my cup of tea, but I won't stop people from reading it if they think they're still going to like it after reading my review.
♥♥♥
GENRE: Contemporary POV: Dual, 1st Person TROPES: bad boy x it girl, hate to love, Gossip Girl vibes, biker and tatted MMC ENDS IN: IDK
~I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.~
Thanks to Jessica Jude for selecting me as one of the participants to participate in the ARC read of this book. I have to say I was hooked by chapter 2. If you like the big, tatted, rough around the edges type for your man, then this is the book for you. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t read fast enough to figure things out! Slate is my new favorite book boyfriend! *I have not read book one in this series YET (going back to now after this amazing read) but I was never lost in what was going on.
I mean, this book was something different. I dont know what I was expecting, but it was definitely a page turner! I devoured this one, read it in no time! The plot twist caught me off guard omg!
From the beginning the story captivated me, the way the story evolves and how everything is presented to the reader is really well executed. The characters are deep, with a lot of baggage. This is an emotional rollercoaster, that much I can say!
If you like the enemies to lovers trope, you will love this book. If you like characters that fight for their loved ones, that get revenge for the people they love, this book is for you. If you like characters that evolve through the book, that change, this book is for you! If you like to see two very different worlds collide in the most awesome way, this book is for you.
I definitely recommend you read this book. It will be available JULY 1st!!!
4.5 ⭐️ I didn’t expect to like this book so much, but I guess it was inevitable. It has a strong Gossip Girl vibe, and the main character feels like a mix between Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen — a total diva — and I absolutely loved, loved her. I would totally read a whole book just about her; it wouldn’t even need romance. If it were just her and her friends, that would already be more than enough for me, because I’m completely obsessed with this queen.
Anyway, by the time I hit 50% of the book, I had already formed a full opinion and was fully prepared to spend half this review dragging the male lead, because I really didn’t like him. He was kind of gross, constantly objectified women, and to top it off, he was broke.
But, unfortunately, I have to admit that as the story progressed and he got involved with the protagonist, he changed. And I actually started to find him interesting and even considered him worthy of my diva (which I definitely didn’t at first).
Also, the book revolves around a plot that is very predictable, but that’s exactly what makes it so fun — because we, the readers, know what’s going on, except the main character. And the climax of the story is the big reveal and how they deal with it, which I think was really well done.
I won’t go into too much detail, but it was such a fun read. I totally recommend it!
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this beauty, thanks Jessica. Now, let’s get to it!
Babyyyyy—when I say this book had me in a chokehold?! I was up at 3AM whispering “just one more chapter” like a damn lie. Addicting isn’t even the word. Jessica Jude did what needed to be DONE!
I was OBSESSED. The pacing? Immaculate. The tension? Delicious. The character development?? Brilliant. Watching these characters grow, fall, heal, and scheme was everything.
Jessica Jude crafted an addictive multi-layered world that was bold, emotional, and unforgettable. I’m talking highlighting quotes, texting friends, throwing my Kindle across the room levels of engaged. And now? I’m a lifer. I need to read everything she’s ever written and everything she ever will.
And listen… Slate? That man is now permanently stamped on the book boyfriend roster. VIP section. Custom nameplate. He’s got the swag, the softness, the smirk, the banter, and the praise kink down to a science. I was ready to risk it all for a fictional man, and I’m not even ashamed.
What I really love is how Jessica gave us layered, flawed, strong characters you can root for and want to shake at the same time. It’s giving depth. It’s giving tension. It’s giving get the book on July 1st and clear a couple of days because you won’t want to put this down!
This was my first ARC read, and I absolutely loved it! This gives gossip girl vibes meets breaking bad. I did not want to put this down, and was upset everytime I had to. I loved Lux and Slate, but this definitely had me asking what and why questions out loud while reading it. This book made me laugh, tear up, and shaking my head (all in good ways!). I would definitely recommend this book, but I would also recommend the first one as well! I cannot wait for the 3rd one to come out! Im addicted! Thank you Jessica Jude for letting me be apart of this team!
I am so grateful to have been able to be an ARC reader for this book. I was hooked from the dedication to the very last page. This was a book that I could not stop thinking about when I had to put it down. The ending was very satisfying. I love a good revenge plot with a bad boy. My take away from this book is to never play about your parking spot; it may just change your life trajectory.
This book eat and left no crumbs. I loved this book so much I already can't wait for the next one. getting this ARC was the best decision I could have made. Jessica Jude is an amazing author and this series is definitely one I'll recommend to people. run don't walk to get this book as soon as you can.
Thank you Jessica Jude for providing an advanced copy of this book for me to read. I absolutely LOVED it! The twists and turns were amazing, there were no lulls where I felt I was bored. I loved how the characters and their backstories unraveled as the book went on. I could feel the chemistry between the characters through the pages at every step. I definitely went through a whirlwind of emotions as I read through. The highs were high and the lows were low. If you like reading about love and sacrifice and everything it takes to make it work this book is 100% for you.
I don’t know what Jessica was on when she wrote this, but she ate this up. I knew right off the bat that this book would be great!
Lux gave off rich girl but considerate vibes. She had those moments where she could be seen as a bit of a prick because she was rich, but she also had moments where you could see the good side of her despite her craving for vengeance. It was understandable why she would jump off the deep end after her brother’s death. Her ditching Slate after she found out his secret also made sense. Everything she did made sense. I loved her character so much.
Don’t get me started on Slate. Holy moly what a man he is. He embraced the fact that he lived on the rough side of town and had to deal with all the hardships that came with it. He was a perfect guardian for his sister whom he cares for deeply. ALSO the dark side of him? YES MA’AM SIGN ME UP. Slate was great.
The two of them together was awesome. They had that comfortable vibe together until everything went to shit. Their love for each other, though they both tried to ignore it, brought them closer and closer. They both fought the societal differences to be together. It was beautiful.
I loved Briar and how hyped up she was around Lux. It was adorable and I would occasionally forget that she wasn’t a child. I felt bad about all her medical issues and the doctors not finding out her diagnosis. I’m glad Lux was able to pull some strings and help her.
I loved the dark sides of this book. There was always action brewing below the surface and it made moments even more interesting. I lost track of time when I was reading this book because it was so captivating.
I’m honestly so thankful for the ARC form for this book coming out because I don’t think I would’ve found this book otherwise. It was perfect. It’s managed to keep me out of a reading slump!
Thank you Jessica Jude for putting your time and effort into writing this book. It was incredible! I can’t wait to see what more comes from your work! Lux and Slate were amazing.

“You’re going to regret every second you weren’t in my arms. I already do. You’re going to never want to leave them again. I already don’t. You’re going to be mine by the end of the night. I already am” 🫶🏻
Lux is your typical Queen B socialite [GG vibes] and Slate is your typical bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. & like they say “opposites attract” and boyyyy did they in this cause the tension was ❤️🔥
Lux & Slate’s story will always be one of my favorites because I love the love that Slate had for Lux. He was so protective of her & made her feel safe enough to truly be herself, which was a rarity for her.
Not only was there amazing tension building & falling in love but also a couple twists I didn’t see coming! This book truly had me in a chokehold and I didn’t want to put it down!
Queen of Vengeance is 2nd in the series but can be read as a standalone. Although I highly recommend Ace Of Betrayal too, especially if you want to know more about the other characters!
Thank you Jessica Jude for trusting me with an ARC even though I was a first-timer. I’ll forever be thankful that it was YOU & Queen Of Vengeance that popped my ARC team cherry 🥰🫶🏻
Thank you Jessica Jude for providing me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!🫶🏼
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this series as I normally read fantasy books. I read the first book a few weeks ago and enjoyed it! I was so excited to get my hands on Queen of Vengeance!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I’m very much a mood reader/vibe reader and man did this one do it! I keep going back and forth between 3.5 and 4 stars. The tension, the plot, the twist!? I loved all of it.
Slate will be your new favorite book boyfriend. The whole biker, tatted, drug dealer vibes?? I was obsessed as soon as he was introduced.😂
I didn’t expect to love Lux as much I did. She’s obviously very much that “socialite” personality on the outside, but getting to know her on a deeper level was amazing. I feel she had so much growth in this book and really got to break down her past trauma and become a better person.
If you haven’t already added this to your tbr, you need to!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book (thank you Jessica Jude!!) and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Queen of Vengeance!! I recommend reading Ace of Betrayal beforehand for a better background on the entire friend group, but this book blew Ace of Betrayal out of the water for me. While the previous book had to spend some time setting up the friend group and other B plot storylines, we were able to jump right into the plot with QoV, as was immediately obvious with how quickly everything kicked off.
I didn’t expect to really like Lux’s book, but I was genuinely so proud of her and loved watching her character growth. Getting to know Slate alongside that was just as fun, and the ending was satisfying in such a great way.. so you’ll just have to read it and see 😉
Queen of Vengeance is the second in the Hand of Revenge series (though it can be read as a standalone)—a spicy enemies-to-lovers (darkish) romance with small-town grit vs. high-society drama. Lux is a sharp-tongued socialite with a revenge streak and Slate’s a grumpy, tatted mechanic with a heart of gold (especially for his sister). Their opposites attract-chemistry pairs perfectly with their banter, tension, and emotional depth. This book had enough twists (especially towards the end) that I couldn’t put down. I’m very gracious to Jessica Jude (@jessicajudebooks) for the advanced reader’s copy of this book. Y’all buckle up for book 3!!
This book has been my first ever ARC read and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
It gave me everything I hoped for, the mmc had me giggling and kicking my feet on several occasions, there was growth within both characters and it had me hooked for beginning to end!!
in comparison to book one, I have to say I was happy to see that we started actually learning about both Lux and Slate form the start, their backstories and their struggles. book one started off rough and with little information on our characters and their stories, but in this book, the author hit the head on the nail!!
Id like to say I'm excited for the next book and I would be honoured to read any of this author's ARCs in the future!!✨✨
Thank you. Jessica Jude for letting me read an advanced copy of Queen of Vengeance! The story was well written and was able to draw me in and keep my attention. The characters were fun and the plot flowed well. The story is good enough to be a stand alone but I read Ace of Betrayal first, which gave me a little more insight to the supporting characters. Not required not why not?! I usually only give 5 star ratings when a book has completely blown me away, which is why I gave this one 4 (which is basically my 5 star). Overall great read!
So happy to have been chosen as an ARC reader for this book!
This book is a modern version of Romeo and Juliette, set in the world of Gossip Girl. I really enjoyed it and even though I figured out pretty fast who the so called ‘wolf’ was, that didn’t negate the rest of the story!
Read your trigger warnings before starting this book, but if you like enemies to lovers, opposites attract, bad boy x it girl, touch her and die and tatted bikers with dirty mouths, definitely add this to your tbr!
I read this book in 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. I read Ace of Betrayal right before starting and it provided good context for the story and the characters even though it isn’t required to be read first.
But let me just tell you… this book was so good. I am absolutely in love with Slate, even though he has flaws. The relationship between Lux and Slate was just so beautiful. The way he was with her and only her and vice versa. I appreciated the challenges they faced and how they overcame those obstacles to be stronger together. Definitely read it when it comes out in July!
I was lucky enough to tackle this as my first ARC read, and I loved it. I blew through it in a day, which is not common for me in this stage of life 😂
I loved the banter, the spice, and the enemies-to-lovers aspect of the story. The writing was enjoyable and easy to read, and the chemistry between Lux and Slate was electric. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but this one was WAY better. I can’t wait to read the next one, whenever it’s ready!
I received this book as an ARC after reading Ace of Betrayal and this KILLED. I loved learning more about Lux. I loved the contrast of rich princess and bad boy with a soft spot. Lux easily became my favorite characters in the group. Her mom and Carter = absolute TRASH. Without giving spoilers, I thoroughly enjoyed the revenge plot against Mr. I “like to abuse women.”
This book was an easy read with an exciting plot. I finished it pretty quickly, and am looking forward to the next one!
I received an ARC copy of Queen of Vengeance. This was one of my favorite reads all year! I loved the dual POV so you could see the reasoning behind both characters. They are both flawed individuals, which added extra complexity to their relationship. It was the perfect pace, and I enjoyed seeing how they grew to trust each other. Their bantering was top notch. The spice was just right! I can't wait to read Rhett's book next.
