Sometimes all a heartbroken Omega could do was start over…
After the last year, I was a mess, thinking I was the problem, a broken Omega unable to give us everything we wanted. Well, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
With a shattered heart, I ran from them, finding my way into a new life with a roof over my head and an adorable little girl to care for. Life was looking up.
Montana, Dakota, Zeke, Clay and Blackwood ranch came into my life just when I needed them most.
But then our messy pasts collided, sending us into a stampede of chaos and unknowns.
Would our fragile, new relationship be strong enough to ride out the storm, or would our little pack in the making be in ruins when the dust settled?
Claimed by the Cowboys is a why choose standalone with pregnancy, bad exes and a rugged pack of cowboys!
This whole book felt a bit vanilla … from the characters, to the plot. If you’re after a sweet, easy-to-read omegaverse story, then this would tick the box. Personally I didn’t vibe with Clay at all - he went from hating Piper to sleeping with her in about two seconds, with zero build up or reason. Also the whole “let’s tally our times together by etching lines into a post” thing? Yeah that was weird.
Unfortunately i can't connect with the characters. The pacing felt rushed and things happened off page. It's sometimes more talked about than seen on page :-(
Not the best omega verse I’ve read, but it was pretty fun and sweet. Could dial down the spice a bit though, and give us more slow burn and less insta love!
This was a very sweet, heartfelt book with plenty of spice. The FMC ends up leaving the pack that was courting her because they cheated and ended up without a place to stay. Then she gets the opportunity to work for four very hot, dirty talking alphas as a nanny for their little girl. Although some of the alphas hold back at first because of being burned in the past, they all soon learn to trust the FMC and her love for their daughter and them.
The authors Melissa Huxley and Violet Braxe did an amazing job with this book, and I'd love to read more books by them. They're both amazing authors on their own, so I knew they would be great together.
A sweet and heartwarming omegaverse romance with fantastic characters. Piper's pack cheats on her and she finds herself in a small town where she gets a job as a nanny for the adorable Maisie. Maisi's dad's were Montana, Dakota , Zeke and Clayton. They were so likeable and their relationship with Piper soon grew with plenty of spice, humour and banter. There's drama with Maisie's mother that adds to the story. A great read.
Overall, it was a nice book, but honestly it wasn’t the right book for me at the right time 😕🙂↔️ I couldn’t really connect with the characters, and the flow of the story didn’t work for me. So for my taste, it felt a bit below average 🫣✨ It also took me longer to finish than I expected, which was a big minus for me ⏳📖 But! I still want to give the author’s other books a chance because the writing has potential ✨💛📚 Maybe next time it will match my mood better 🫠🫶🏼
This book pulled me in from the first chapter and kept me hooked all the way through. The emotional journey of a heartbroken Omega finding her place—and maybe her pack—was beautifully written, full of tenderness, hope, and just the right amount of chaos. The characters felt layered and real, and the found-family element with the little girl added so much warmth to the story.
That said, I did struggle with what felt like an undercurrent of traditional values being pushed at times. While it didn’t ruin the experience, it did give me pause here and there. Still, the emotional depth, strong relationship building, and heartfelt moments more than made up for it.
Overall, I loved the story and would absolutely recommend it to others especially those who enjoy romance with a mix of grit, sweetness, and the healing power of starting over.
Piper has had a rough go of things. However, when the men who were going to be her pack cheated on her she took the opportunity to flee from them. She was able to find an in with a pack needing a live in nanny for their young daughter. This was the perfect opportunity for her to rediscover herself and what she was capable of.
I absolutely love the bond between Piper and Maisie. She fit seemlesly into this little girl's life. She took the mother role without expectations.
This was such a a beautiful story full of love, longing and discovery. There was so much healing for all the boys l, Maisie, and Piper too.
This is such a sweet story! I love Piper. And Maisie is such a sweet little girl, add in her daddies, yes please! Watching Piper and the guys' relationships develop was a fun ride. Zeke, that man had me chuckling. I think my favorite is just how perfect Piper and Maisie are together though.
I wanted to love this book so bad! I have read a lot of Melissa’s books and loved all of them. Sadly this book felt completed at 30-40% and then literally nothing happened between 40-80% the book dragged and felt like it was a 100 page novella that got dragged out three times longer than needed. This was just a pretty boring read honestly.
I don’t think you can go wrong writing an omegaverse with four hot cowboys that are also amazing fathers to a little girl and a city girl that is need of a job and a place to live. I knew from the very beginning that this was the type of sweet, minimal angst omegaverse that I love to read when the world gets to be too much. There is just enough of an outside story to keep your attention without getting you too much off of the omega and the lack of alphas. This was sweet and spicy, having just the smallest bit of drama. But it really is one of those stories where you can’t help but smile because the good guys all get what they have deserved from the very beginning, before life got in the way and threw them all for a loop. It was well written and the type of story you can sit down and binge when you need to take a break from the struggle of the outside world and just want to get some warm fuzzies.
From the very beginning, I wanted to protect Piper from the crappy pack that she had connected herself to. She deserved so much better than the bare minimum attention that they gave her. I just got the vibe that she was a tool for them, someone to give them heirs. I feel like it is a requirement to have at least one super grumpy in a pack of alphas, and Clayton plays that part to a T. But just as much as it is a requirement to have a grump, it’s a requirement to have that super sweet, golden retriever that is smitten from the first minute they meet the FMC. Zeke is the sweetest goofball. Then there is the twins, who are identical, but are so different. Add to this whole group Maisie, who is freaking adorable, and you have the cutest family that are an absolute pleasure to read.
Like most omegaverses, this book absolutely doesn’t lack for spice. I will say that usually omegaverses get the spiciest when the omega goes into heat, but this one gets off to a spicy start pretty quickly and by the time the omega has her heat, you have had plenty of spice to read. But that doesn’t mean that this book is completely spice. It is sweet and a fun easy story to get lost in.
When Piper finds ‘her’ pack cheating while they’re on a trip together (who does that?), she steals one of their cars (you go girl!) and flees into town. The small town meddling immediately start and Miss Eveline from the diner fixes her room and boarding on the Blackwood Ranch, in exchange for her nannying their four-year-old.
Piper is an absolute ray of sunshine. She reminded me of rainbows and colourful, happy classrooms. Dakota and Montana were quite different in personality but very obviously two sides of one coin, which I appreciated. Clayton was so rude to Piper but I loved how it brought out her sassy side. Zeke being describes as a german shepherd who hasn’t quite grown or matured into his large paws and ears is incredibly accurate and he made me smile the most. Maisie Rae is the cutest toddler and was absolutely endearing.
This was a very typical Melissa Huxley story for me: a cosy read with a good storyline, a cute ending and some captivating action (in both senses of the word) along the way. My only issue is that it felt like traditional values were being pushed. It was just a little too ‘conservative agenda’ for me - which in a way makes sense, because small town cowboys, but sometimes it was just too much.
Don’t go into this book expecting a plot heavy/angsty storyline, when I tell you after the first time they do the deed literally every chapter has them doing it to the end basically. BUT I gave it 4⭐️ because the writing was good and I was sat for the smut 🤷🏼♀️. There was a little confusion where in the timeline of events we were in because we went from finding out about the pregnancy to the fmc being 18 weeks along within about 1-2 chapters and the book did not let us know there was a time jump (this happened many times).
Tropes: Mild enemies to lovers Scent matches (sort of) City girl x cowboys RH Single dads Pregnancy Small town
🛑🛑🛑SPOILERS🛑🛑🛑 . . . . . .
Content/trigger warning: Pregnancy Fertility/infertility discussions Child abandonment Unplanned home birth (somewhat descriptive) Morning sickness Cravings Verbally abusive and controlling exes Unprotected 🌶️ OBGYN appointments Sonograms Threat of possible SA to fmc (not by mmc’s) Mentions of Postpartum Depression
I enjoyed this. Overall the story is quick, but fun. There are moments that are soft and heartwarming, some funny moments and a whole lot of spice.
This is a nanny/smalltown pregnancy romance. They're not quite scent matches - they're more scent sympathetic, and it's not an insta-love. While things had started getting heated physically, they bond out of convenience rather than love, that comes later.
I liked the slow(ish) progression of that, their relationship builds naturally, although it does focus a little more on the physical connections rather than the emotional one but it doesn't detract from the story.
There are few things I personally would have liked a little more depth too, like their pasts - all of them. We don't really know anything about the guys outside of the ranch and their daughter. It's not mentioned how they became pack, the twins weren't even aware that Zeke is/was a lawyer - only Clay knew. This is a smalltown where everyone knows and loves everyone and the ranch is Clay's family's but there's no mention of any of their familys.
"Somebody call 911, shawty fire burning on the dance floor whoaa " Poor Piper’s vagestry. Girl, how are you still walking after that pipeline is beyond me.
You went full Eiffel Tower with the twins, Dakota and Montana, while Zeke and Clay sat back like conductors of the quartet orchestra 😂 I swear your vagestry deserves hazard pay and maybe a couple stitches after all that banging.
The storyline? Was okay. The spice? Off the charts. The chemistry ? Astronomical. This one is less about plot and more about Piper’s Olympic level endurance.
Piper, a sweet omega, is in a luxury cowboy resort in a small town with her pack, when she stumbles into a room with her alphas with another female. She runs off and into an adorable cafe in town where she meets some of the kindest people on earth who set her up with live-in-nanny situation on a ranch with a pack of four single alphas. Piper is a teacher by trade and loves children so she decides to try to make the best of the situation and embraces the job and little girl, Maisie Rae and loves life on the ranch. The alphas range from happy-go-lucky gold retriever giant, Zeke (my favourite kind of MMC), twins, Montana and Dakota (Yum) and not immediately on board with an omega from the big city in his house and therefore kind of gruff Clayton Blackwood.
Piper is sweet, but she doesn't just take Clay's bad attitude and gives it back to him. She was kind of spineless with her previous pack and bent over backwards to please them and try to have a baby for their pack's prestige but as time goes on, she begins to find herself at the Blackwood Ranch. I liked how she pushed back, but also maintained her sweetness. Maisie was adorable and I loved her.
This was a cozy, feel good kind of story. Once they became pack, everyone was fully on board and Piper settled into country and ranch life. Some drama from outside sources happens, but we're all on team Blackwood and it's comforting how we navigate the situation.
This is another great read from Melissa Huxley and Violet Braxe.
I received an advance copy of this book in return for my honest review.
Claimed by the Cowboys was such a satisfying omegaverse read! The pacing is medium-to-fast, which kept things exciting and easy to binge. There's a bit of a slow build to the spice, but once it hits—it stays spicy and definitely delivers on the heat in a consistent and fun way.
The characters are absolutely adorable. I loved the dynamic between the MC and the pack, especially the single dad vibes—those moments were so soft and heartfelt. The presence of a child added such a genuine warmth to the story and made the pack feel real and lived-in.
I did find myself occasionally wishing for a bit more breathing room in certain emotional scenes—some moments felt a little rushed or slightly off character—but that’s mostly due to the speed of the storytelling. Even so, the emotional beats still landed, and I was fully invested in the relationships.
If you’re looking for a sweet “why choose” romance with a rugged cowboy pack, found family, and a great mix of emotional depth and frequent spice, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Very light fluffy read. You've got the single dad(s) trope and a surprise pregnancy. It's got a good little bit of pay back for the previous relationships the MC's had. Very light OW/OM drama. Literally just enough to make it interesting. No cheating and a cute HEA. I would read in between some of the heavier stuff I enjoy reading for sure.
Overall: Violet and Melissa need to write more books together. This book ATE. Holy smokes, the alphas were fire and the dirty talk was 🥵. Like wow, definitely am I going to purchase the Paperback when it comes out, cause yessss.
are you looking for a dirty talking Alpha, a grumpy alpha, and twin Alphas, cause this book is all of it. There is no MM at all. For those that don't like it. But you will fall absolutely inlove with this book.
They said you should save a horse and ride an Alpha…and this OV by Melissa Huxley and Violet Braxe checks all of my steamy, sweet Cowboy dreams.
Piper is an Omega betrayed by her so-called pack, and is left to pick up the pieces in a small town. After taking a nanny job for a pack of single Alpha Cowboys in their ranch, she starts bonding with their adorable daughter and them. Obviously, when on a ranch with 4 single cowboys, things start to get steamy and this book is that great combo of 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and sweetness.
This book has all our favorites, including: Single Alpha Cowboys Why Choose Found Family Single Dads Nanny Romance
Minimal triggers and mostly sweet and spicy, with an FMC who grows in her confidence, and Alphas who will do whatever it takes to make it work.
I’m seeing opportunities for us to see more from this OV world and this great author collab!
From betrayed omega to beloved wife… some second chances come with cowboy boots.
Piper has been with the alphas of Pack Adamar for a year, trying for a baby that never comes. They’ve decided she’s a “defective” omega and while that wound is still raw, she walks in on the ultimate betrayal during a work trip to Sweetwater Springs: her alphas in someone else’s office. Shattered, Piper runs, desperate to leave her old life behind.
She finds herself in the small-town diner where Evelyn, the big-hearted owner, offers her a lifeline, a job as a nanny for Pack Blackwood. Four brawny alphas and one adorable four-year-old little girl are about to turn Piper’s life upside down. Dakota, the mischievous twin; Montana, the serious twin; Zeke, the golden-retriever-hearted giant; and Clayton, the gruff cowboy who takes convincing. And then there’s Maisie, the sweet little spitfire who steals everyone’s heart.
Piper may be a city girl, but she’s determined to prove she can cook, clean, and care for Maisie like she was born to do it. But when legal trouble threatens the ranch and Maisie’s future, the pack realizes they don’t just need a nanny, they need a wife.
From sizzling chemistry to heart-melting moments, I loved watching the alphas (well, maybe not Clayton at first) dote on Piper, and seeing Clayton’s redemption arc was perfection. Maisie, though? She’s the true scene-stealer.
This was such a good story. Piper had a rough exit from her last pack who were total jerks. Fate stepped in and found her the perfect pack/family. Masie was just the cutest little thing. And watching Piper face down Clay and put him in his place you knew it would be explosive when they gave in. It didn’t disappoint. Things take a few turns but I was happy with how things worked out. I was ready to jump into the pages and take Caroline out myself. She was horrible. I’m glad all worked out for Piper and the pack.
This was a cute story! I loved the nanny/small town romance vibe this book gave. I was intrigued when I first read the blurb for the book. It was such a good story and I was excited to read it.
I loved Piper’s story and the way the authors brought the characters to life. There was so much depth to each of them. Piper is sweet, kind and sassy. I love the relationships she built. Each had their own uniqueness.
Overall, this was a good read! I highly recommend if you love omegaverse! It was the perfect ending with just enough sweetness and spiciness.
I don’t mind silly lighthearted reads but I found the characters to be a bit trite and trope-y without any substance or well built story to back them up. It was a struggle to get through this ready for me. I’m a big fan of Melissa Huxley but this colab is a bit of a fail for me
I devoured this story! These two authors brought it all with Piper's story. The plot was on point and I loved each of the main characters. It was filled with humor, some drama, spicy scenes, and more!! Piper was the perfect FMC. She was sweet, kind, and had the perfect amount of sass. I love the relationship she built with Maisie. I loved each of the brothers. They were unique. My favorite part was seeing those relationships develope. The banter, tension, love, and overall chemistry. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Clay and Piper. What a fantastic read, with the perfect, sweet and spicy ending! 😉
Huxley and Braxe did a phenomenal job at cowriting and creating one voice. Piper was just so loving and really enjoyed seeing her stand up to Clay and the others. Maisie was so cute, I just love single dad stories and seeing them dote on their kiddos.
Omegaverse x cowboy? I didn’t know I wanted this but now is a NEED. This book made me addicted! That’s how good it is!
The omegaverse dynamic combined with the ranch life makes such an amazing story, it makes you feel this warmth vibe of family and a simple but lovely life, it feels like a hug, like home.
And this package is perfect, we have Zeke and Dakota, the naughty pair who is always ready to have fun, we have Montana who is more serious and calm, but who can always be persuaded to have fun and then we have daddy Clay, the tough one, hard to break but a softie in the heart and the perfect pack leader who keeps the group going.
We have the girls, Piper the Omega looking for a new beginning that founds herself with a bunch of cowboys and a beautiful girl... I loved seeing Piper start over and build the life she deserves with a pack that adores her!
I had an incredible time... it was a such pleasure to read, an story with some twists that keep you on your feet, cute family moments together and, obviously, delicious spicy scenes 🤌🏼🔥
Turns out I really like the single dad trope. Dakota, Montana, Zeke, and Clay are such great dads and with everything they did or wanted to do was based around their daughter. It was so sweet. Really this whole book was sweet. After Piper leaves her crap pack that is. Piper is the best. I loved that throughout everything that happened she was so aware and thoughtful towards Maisie. But she wasn't a push over! Piper was great.
I do wish there was some more character development for everyone. We know Clay is a grumpy because of his past but even though it's a huge plot point we barely know any details. Also I wanted more understanding about how these men came together as a pack since we don't get any of that.
