There’s so much good in this book, and it is a great call to Christians today to “remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” However the weakest part of the book is when he is addressing whether the magistrate can enforce the Sabbath. He seems to only have Theonomy in mind when being against it, however our Reformed fathers were more than happy to have the magistrate enforce both tables of the law.
Helpful insight on Sabbath observance and what a delight it can be. Even as a practicing Sabitarian, I found certain points convicting and encouraging. It is a good thing to stop and commune with the Lord, indeed it is even commanded of us; all for our good and Christ's glory!
