HERLove? Nah. That’s my sister’s thing. She’s got hearts in her eyes and a mission to make everyone around her fall just as hard. Me? I’ve seen the game played too many times to believe in fairytales. Men only come in three flavors—and neither are for me.
So when my sister sets me up on a blind date, I already know it’s a waste of my time. What I don’t expect is him—Decker Hayes. And just like me, he’s only here to check a box and move on. No strings. No feelings. No future.
But one night flips everything. Suddenly, I’m caught up in something bigger than bad first dates and my sister’s obsession with love. And the deeper I get, the more I wonder—was this setup really about me? Or is there a whole other game being played?
HIMI know better than to look for love. The last time I let a woman get too close, she turned my life inside out—and not in a good way. Now, I’m back in my city, back where I belong. No distractions, no drama. Just me, my people, and the business I’m trying to rebuild.
But trouble has a way of finding me. This time, it shows up in the form of a woman who’s just as done with love as I am. Sharp mouth, sharp eyes—she’s got walls as high as mine. We shouldn’t work, but somehow, we do.
Until we don’t because my past comes knocking, and suddenly, everything changes.
Author This was formally published in the XOXO Anthology, but if you've read it, you haven't–Because this ain't that. This is not a meet-cute, so be ready to have your heart broken just a little. This is the first book in a TRILOGY. Ends on a CLIFFHANGER.
This book was AWSOME!! I was drawn in the story from the first page. To be honest, I only started reading Talon's Secret by Tonya Ink. Then, I wanted to read the beginning of Lucifer Saints MC Brick's Story. Upon looking for this story that is no longer being published, I came across the Love Me, Love Me Not Series. I am so glad that I did. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. But at some point, I do want to read Lucifer Saints MC storyline. I feel there is a lot that I have missed between the two series.
I gave this book a 3.5/5. I would personally recommend that you start with the first series involving the motorcycle club and work up to this one. I think this particular book is supposed to be written as a standalone but I could see where it would be beneficial to start from the beginning. I was told by the author that I could start with this story but there were portions of the story that had me a little lost- like I was missing something. I definitely was since I found out that some of the side characters in this story were main characters in previous books.
I liked the premise of the story but I feel like a little too much time was spent focusing on the lead up to the date. There was a lot of back and forth between the MC's of whether or not they were going to on a date that I personally feel could have been spent on some of the backstory. It would have been nice to have some of the gaps filled in (just enough to fill in the gaps).
The FMC's family is horrible. The whole gang...maybe minus one. But the jury is still out because I haven't heard/seen much from that one in this book. I'm really hoping that they have consequences for their actions. This does end on a cliffhanger and I am interested to see how it's going to play out. I I will be continuing on with the next book in the trilogy.
