I can’t live without Jenna, no matter how hard I try to return to my old life. Driven by emotion that defies reason, I track her down, desperate to understand what went wrong. When I find her, she's a shadow of herself, her heart fractured by a discovery that left her in freefall. I won't let her face this alone. I'm here, offering not just love, but a sanctuary.
Yet it feels like the whole world is closing in, poised to spin us both out of control.
Jenna Westfield, Surrendering to Grief
Bennett is my anchor, the one who saw through my walls and made me believe in a love I never thought possible. But grief is a ravenous monster, devouring everything in its path. I'm pushing him away, testing the limits of his devotion, even as I crumble inside. Then, the past explodes, a twisted echo of old betrayals threatening to destroy the fragile peace we’ve built.
I'm trapped in a helix of despair, the final loop threatening to shatter us forever.
MIC DROP is the final book in the Passionate Beats trilogy. You’ll need to read both of the prior books in the trilogy first, and it ends with a much-deserved HEA. The story is told from Bennett and Jenna’s points of view. If you’re looking for a slow burn, found family rockstar romance filled with unexpected twists and turns, then get ready to defy gravity with Untamed Coaster!

For as long as Arell Rivers remembers, she has been lost in a book. During her senior year in college, she picked up a romance novel … and instantly was hooked.
She started writing her first novel, No One to Hold, because the characters were screaming at her to do so. The story started coming out in Arell’s dreams and attacking her in the shower, so she took to the computer to shut them up. But they kept talking.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Arell has what some may call a “checkered past.” Prior to discovering her passion for writing romance, she practiced law, was a wedding and event planner and even dabbled in marketing. She lives with a very supportive husband and two mischievous cats. When not in her writing cave, Arell can be found making dinner in the crock pot, working out with Shaun T or hitting the beach.
She hopes you enjoy her stories about flawed men, strong women and the passions that ignite!
Words can’t describe what I’ve felt in this trilogy but this last book grabbed me from the start and didn’t let go. The journey that I was on with Bennett and Jenna was one I won’t soon forget. If you love rock romances and like being totally enthralled with an awesome storyline, this is the series for you. I only hope we hear from the Untamed Coasters.
This final book of the series runs through a variety of emotions as the vendetta against Jenna intensifies and she has to contend with tough news that has a deep impact on her life and heart. The story takes us on tour and back to Jenna's home, where she has retreated in the light of difficult news. Overall, I enjoyed the wind up to the series, but did find the pace rather slow and the ping ponging of Jenna's behaviour repetitive. It must be said however, that Arrel handled the truly sad times really well. 💖💖💖💖
Oh My God! That was a fantastic ending to the series! I will mention that you'll need a box of tissues for ch. 14 to ch. 26 at least. Jenna and Bennett about to hit a bumpy road and there's no telling how they'll come out the other side. This trilogy is absolutely amazing! All the characters are fantastic and with the first 2 in the series being each of the main characters POV the 3 is from both. Arell made me cry for many chapters but it's worth it in the end. HIGHLY recommend this series from book 1 to book 3! A Roller Coaster ride it will be till the end. ~ARC provided in return for honest review~
I cried from the beginning. This is the conclusion to Bennett and Jenna. Although heartbreaking their story is so good and so perfect. I absolutely loved the conclusion. The chemistry was good and it was well written.
Mic Drop (Passionate Beats #3) by Arell Rivers is a slow-burn contemporary opposites-attract forbidden rock star romance told in first person dual POV. The story follows the relationship between Bennett Hardy, front man for the rock band Untamed Coaster, and physical therapist Jenna Westfield, the off-limits former girlfriend of their deceased keyboardist, as she helps him rehab a painful injury in preparation for a worldwide stadium tour. Mic Drop is book three of a trilogy and concludes Bennett and Jenna’s story.
For the most part, I enjoyed their story, but usually, in series, the concluding books are my favorites—that wasn’t the case with this one. I’m clearly in the minority, because I liked books one and two (both 4 stars) more than this one (hence the rating of 3.5 to 4 stars). Why? One word: Jenna.
In my review for book two, I mentioned that Jenna’s behavior was inconsistent at times. In this book, her inconsistent behavior continued and was amplified to such a degree that if she were real, I’d encourage her to seek professional help for her mental health issues. She was erratic, unreasonable, unwilling or unable to communicate effectively, and after a grief-inducing event, she clearly had some kind of break from reality. Jenna just came across as coo-coo-pants, acting out and stubbornly holding on to this false reality.
This is why I found her incredibly irritating. Even so, none of that would have been a problem if, at some point in the story, she’d received help—some therapy at least—for her issues. But that never happened. So in my mind, their HEA is shaky at best, because Jenna is unstable. Sure, she may be happy now, but who knows what she’ll do the next time she and Bennett encounter problems? She might have another psychotic break and ask him for a divorce.
Don’t get me wrong—Bennett wasn’t an angel either. He annoyed me too, LOL. But his bad behavior was a reaction to Jenna’s erratic banana-pants behavior, so it didn’t bother me quite as much. Despite these irritations, Mic Drop was a fun and entertaining read overall.
I really enjoyed the conclusion to Jenna and Bennett’s story ☺️ Where book 1 (Opening Strains) gave us Bennett’s POV, and book 2 (Extended Bridge) gave us Jenna’s POV, this book gives us BOTH characters POVs. I really liked reading what was happening with each character and what was going on in their heads. This couple has been through a lot!! It definitely doesn’t stop here though. Bennett and Jenna want to be together, but life certainly isn’t making it easy!! Poor Bennett feels abandoned by everybody who has ever come into his life. He has trouble letting people in…..Until Jenna. Jenna has her own issues with people. It seems like everyone has been against her since her last boyfriend OD’d. The media has completely run her name through the dirt. She just wants to get past it and open her own PT business. Although someone keeps trying to sabotage their happiness, Jenna and Bennett feel like they’re finally finding their footing. Unfortunately Jenna has to leave Bennett, and the tour, to be with her ailing mother. Bennett misunderstands and thinks he’s been abandoned again. After going through his own downward spiral, he goes after the love of his life ♥️ Unfortunately the complications and old enemies are just too determined…… This trilogy has had exciting and OMG moments and twists, happy and sad tears, but most of all, you find yourself really rooting for Bennett and Jenna 🖤🩷 I recommend this book 🩵🦋💙
My heart broke for Bennett. Everyone he has ever loved has left him. The emotional roller coaster reading their story brought tears to my eyes more times than I can count. Sorry to say but I really wasn’t a fan of Jenna for a good portion of this book. Stubborn girl is one of the things that cones to mind. She refuses to accept help from anyone and that included Bennett who would give her the world is she asked him. What Bennet had with Jenna was so different from what he had with anyone else. It wasn’t only physical. For one thing they talked. He got to know her as a person and not just a bed partner. Jenna made him realize his bandmates were his friends. Something Bennett refused to accept before Jenna. She made him realize these people were an important part of his life. But when things didn’t go according to her plan she pushed him away. But Bennett wouldn’t give up. She was his and he would do anything to make things right. He never gave up on her, which showed how much she changed him. They were destined to be together forever and he would not give up until they were. He had to show her that together they can get through anything. They completed each other. A perfect end to an amazing trilogy. Hoping to see what is in store of the other band members.
This is the conclusion to Bennett and Jenna’s story for now. No doubt they will reappear in upcoming books, but the focus won’t be on them anymore. These two have some significant challenges to face, and there are people actively trying to harm both their reputations and their relationship, but they finally figure out the best way to combat that hate and jealousy. And it is epic!
Unfortunately, right about the time that things are looking up, something incredibly impactful happens to them, and they have to tackle yet another challenge! Ms. Rivers doesn’t spare them much as she writes this story, that’s for sure!
I enjoyed the way this story pulls the reader in from the first page. The tension varies somewhat, depending on what’s happening (or not), but the pace is steady. It’s fascinating to get inside each protagonist’s head and see how they fall back on old patterns, until they become aware of them, and then they make different choices. This echoes what strong, healthy people do in real life, and it was interesting to read.
I’m excited to see where the rest of this series takes readers!
The last in the trio and Arell has not given Bennett and Jenna an easy ride. The two are about to settle into their HEA when everything around Jenna falls apart and she runs. Bennett is devastated, another person in his life has run and destroyed him. He realises if he is to be happy he can't let Jenna go. Both of their pasts seem bent on destroying their future but Bennett sets about getting his girl back, even though they are on opposite sides of the world. As people from their pasts work to destroy them both can these two find a way to rebuild and trust that what they have is enough to carry them through and back to each other. A beautifully written story of love, tragedy, betrayal, secrets and lies this trio will keep you captivated up to the last page. Please don't let the TRIO title put you off reading this. The whole series has been wrapped up in a couple of months so there is no year long wait between each book. Grab this series and dive into the world of Untamed Coaster while we wait for Rio's story.
Arell did it again! She had me on the edge of my seat. Bennett and Jenna are on one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride. Jenna had me going there for a minute and thought she needed a good knock in the head. 😆 But grief affects everyone differently. I’m glad they got through the rough patches that followed them where ever they went. In the end the ride was worth it!!
“Jenna. Wife. My biggest fan. I asked you this before when I didn’t have a ring. Then we got married before our families and friends.” I flip open the ring box, holding her engagement and wedding rings. “Now, I want to put these on you and make love with you wearing only them. I love you. Will you be mine, forever?”
With a slight tremor, she extends her left hand. “Yes! A thousand times yes!”
Swoon!!! Love this so much!! I’ll read anything Arell puts out. Start ant the beginning of this trilogy. You won’t regret it.
Hooked from the very first page , devouring every single word to the point where yes that’s right I actually lost track of time . Reeling with emotions I never ever saw coming- smiling, laughing out loud, sobbing, yelling outta frustration and cheering so freaking hard to name a few . If you are a lover of rockstar romance then this is absolutely the trilogy you need to read . Because let’s be honest who doesn’t love opposites attract, he falls first and hard and found family . From the moment I picked up the very first book in Jenna and Bennetts epic love story they really had my heart , I feel like I went through everything right along with them, the ups and downs , the happy times and the hard times . I don’t want to reveal anything because this is the conclusion of course and you definitely need to experience it all for yourself. What I will say though , it that their story was everything I never knew I needed and I just loved it so so much
Jenna is on tour with UC as the physical therapist for lead singer, Bennett. When Jenna learns her mother is sick, Jenna leaves Bennett and the tour. Bennett views her leaving as another abandonment and doesn't follow her. When Bennett finally goes to Jenna, he becomes rock and port in the storm. Will Bennett and Jenna commit to each other to please her mother? Can Bennett and Jenna overcome people from their past who want to hurt them and break them apart? Will Bennett walk away or fight for Jenna when she continues to push him away? Will Jenna finally realize Bennett is her happily ever after? I loved Mic Drop by Arell Rivers. Love Bennett and Jenna! They are a great couple with amazing chemistry. Mic Drop is a great ending to the Passionate Beats trilogy. I would highly recommend getting Mic Drop and the other 2 book in the Passionate Beats trilogy by Arell Rivers. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
That was a beautiful ending to a beautiful story. Jenna and Bennett were truly meant to be. They just had to get off the crazy coaster to get to their happily ever after. Arell River’s gives us an emotional ending to a beautiful romance. Mic Drop is the third and final book of the Passionate Beats Trilogy.
These two had to jump hurdles for one another and at times I could have knocked their heads together. Jenna poor girl, she has so much happening to her and then the worst thing happens. Her grief overwhelms her and she pushes everyone away. But Bennett is not letting her go without a full on battle. Watching Bennett grow through this series has been so wonderful. He’s a rockstar with a heart of gold. I can’t wait for the next book because this whole band and group of friends has my heart.
When Jenna flees, Bennett rushes to track her down. When he finds her and finds out why she ran he’s determined to be there for her as much as he can. But when the worst happens at the same time they seem to be attacked from all sides, Jenna can’t take it anymore and does what she does best- she lashes out and she leaves, refuses to listen and tries to do everything alone. But can Bennett get through to her or is this really the end of their love story?
This one picks up where book two left off. It was another complete rollercoaster ride and I was here for every second!! I adore Bennett and Jenna together and their story had everything. I’m so excited for the rest of the series now! I need to know what Rio has done!!
This is an ARC review and all opinions are my own. Thank you to The Author Agency for the ARC copy of this book and for the opportunity to read and review it
Mic Drop is the final book in the Passionate Beats trilogy by Arell Rivers, a romance between the deceased bandmate Darren’s former girlfriend Jenna Westfield and the lead singer Bennett Hardy. Just as things begin to level out between Jenna and Bennett, the bottom falls out of Jenna’s world, so she leaves the tour in tears. Bennett doesn’t follow her and internalizes her leaving as another abandonment he has to accept. Jenna’s world is rocked when she discovers her mom is sick. As Bennett finally wakes up and follows her, he becomes her rock and anchor. As the couple navigates all the new problems facing them, the smear campaign is going full steam to hurt Jenna and Bennett in any way possible. How they finally find their HEA is how Arell Rivers can work her magic in writing a rockstar romance that lingers in the readers’ hearts long after the last page of Mic Drop closes.
This final book in this trilogy goes straight in with the drama. I must admit I thought Bennett had had a complete personality transplant between books 2 and 3. He soon redeemed himself, and was back to the Bennett we were used to in the first two books. This book is a real page turner and the hard time Lisa and Michelle gave Bennett and Jenna was unbelievably nasty. What with them and the press, Mrs Hilliard, Bennett’s Mum it was a complete battle for our main characters. I thought going by the previous two books 007 would have had a bigger part in the last book but he sort of fizzled out somewhat. The surprise for me happened in the middle of the book, when I thought it would happen at the end. This was my favourite book of the trilogy as there was just so much happening and it was certainly a rollercoaster for Jenna and Bennett. I was very pleased to receive this book as an ARC.
This one was the conclusion in the Passionate beats trilogy and lrt ne just say... what an ending. Definitely need a box of tissues with this one. Book one was from Bennetts POV. Book two was from Jennas POV. This one is a duel POV and it was perfect Jenna and Bennett are about to be put through the ringer in this one... theaim thing is what they have strong enough to survive on the other side. Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster ride and if two people ever deserved a HEA its these two. Thank you Arell for giving us a story that took us through so many emotions. Think i needed a good cry. Well done... this series was amazing.
I was given a complimentary copy but voluntarily chose to review.
The explosive conclusion to The Passionate Beats Trilogy from Arell Rivers where Jenna and Bennett finally get their HEA, but not without first coping with more emotional turmoil. This couple have been through the wringer and just when it seems darkest, help comes from an unexpected quarter and certain people finally get very publicly exposed for their malicious lies and actions.
High praise for the three books in the Passionate Beats Trilogy (read them in order) and make sure you have the tissues on hand for the epic finale that is Mic Drop!
I am now eagerly waiting for the rest of the Untamed Coasters to get their stories heard.
This is my honest and voluntary review after receiving an ARC.

Bennett and Jenna, the final instalment
This story follows Bennett and Jenna and is their final instalment in a trilogy of love, drama and an epic happy end. The third and last book is told from both points of view and has its amount of twists and turns. Bennet and Jenna didn’t have an easy journey. It was and is a ride of loss, grief, hurt and love. And they were put through a wringer. When they finally are at a point to heading somewhere despite people out there trying to break them up and harm their reputation, a happy end would be the next step. But nothing is that easy and so they have a final challenge to face. A wonderful journey in the world of rockstars and their lives. And while we close now Bennett’s story, we won’t go far until the next member of Untamed Coaster gets his story.
I've experienced an emotional rollercoaster with Bennett and Jenna since "Opening Strains," and "Mic Drop" is the finale I didn't know I needed. Just as they're about to enjoy their happily ever after, Jenna's world collapses, causing her to run away. Bennett is heartbroken and realizes he can't let her go.
As they face challenges from their pasts that threaten to tear them apart, Bennett is determined to win Jenna back, despite the distance between them.
This beautifully written story of love, tragedy, betrayal, and secrets keeps you engaged until the last page. The resolution ties everything together and leaves a lasting impression. If you've been following their journey, you'll love how it concludes—it's a wonderful addition to your book collection.
This is the third and final book in this trilogy and is revealed in dual POV’s. Bennett is struggling without Jenna is his life, and when he tracks her down, she is a show of herself. Their road is not an easy journey, and they have many challenges to overcome, however, when they are is a better place, the past threatens to tear them apart forever. This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, loss, grief, drama, secrets, challenges, opposites attract, close proximity, trust, unexpected twists and turns, soulmates, healing, romance, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, and compelling addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Gripping Conclusion! This well written Rockstar Trilogy has been an emotional roller coaster that grabbed onto my heart and brought tears to my eyes more than once. The chemistry between Bennett and Jenna has no bounds, but the obstacles in their relationship are many. They both have scars that needed mending and twists and turns to overcome before they can have their happy ever after. Luckily they have family and friends to help them along the way even though they do not realize it. I cannot wait to read more about members of the Untamed Coaster Rock Band. Hope Arell Rivers does not make us wait to long. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
Loved the final book in this series. Bennett and Jenna have a true connection, but can they both get past their past to see their true future? And what happens when each of their past are trying to ruin their present? Micgelle with her Black Widow push and Lissa with her lost baby by Bennett. When these two join forces will they actually take our couple down and break them up? They take a leap to a forever buf with a sudden illness and death, their forever is changed and Jenna just can't find the truth. She's stuck in her head. Jenna's trauma though shows Bennett he has friends, a family that is there for him, even if he didn't want to acknowledge it. Can't wait for Rio's book
Finally the HEA I have been longing for. Bennett never thought it possible for Jenna to actually be his HEA. He knew all along it is what he hoped and longed for, but did not believe it would happen. She was the missing piece in his life. Their journey would prove to be complicated, challenging and definitely emotional. Jenna never gave up on Bennett. She knew he was more than his persona. She saw the real Bennett, the one she fell in love with.
I felt right there with them both experiencing the same emotions and boy was this a tearjerker. Arell Rivers captured and nourished this couple beautifully.
Highly emotional and addictive! The conclusion to the Passionate Beats Trilogy brings more angst and turmoil to Jenna and Bennett while their love is tested. I've liked these characters from the first book so seeing their relationship play out through the hits that just keep coming is emotional. I wanted a bit more from them quite honestly. I wanted answers to the 007 hatred, I wanted to see them move forward in public in a connected way, I wanted more oomph for the ending. Overall, well developed characters, lost of angst and drama to sink your teeth into and heartfelt passion paved the way. I highly enjoyed their story overall.
Wow a great ending but had to go through a few tissues in this one. It is a hard one of the trilogy and I could totally get where Jenna was coming from. I am close with my mother and yeah, I won't say more as you hear about it at the end of bk 2. So, you do need to read these from book 1 through or you will be lost and not get the whole story.
Arell Rivers has a way with her MMC and FMC to make them strong but also show their weakness and that is great because they can't always be perfect. Even for a book to see the flaws of the characters is nice. This one will move you in a good and bad way so be prepared.
Bennett & Jenna have overcome so much to get to this point, but unfortunately, the hits just keep on coming. For a man with abandonment issues, a woman who runs can be quite the straw breaking the camel’s back. But sometimes, a little perspective can make all the difference. This book had me falling even harder for Bennett & Jenna as a couple. The hardest of times didn’t truly break them. Though there were many fractures in their facade, Bennett held strong to the love he felt deep within. Despite the secrets, lies, disconnect, & tragedy, his love was enough for both of them. This trilogy has truly been an “Untamed Coaster” on my emotions. But I would have it no other way.
An unforgettable conclusion to the Passionate Beats Trilogy!
Jenna and Bennett’s journey comes full circle in this powerful and emotionally charged finale. After everything they’ve been through, this final chapter is the perfect payoff—raw, heartfelt, and utterly satisfying. Be warned: the emotions run high, and the tears will flow, so keep the tissues close. But every moment of heartbreak and hope is absolutely worth it. This book ties everything together beautifully, delivering closure, growth, and the kind of ending that lingers long after you turn the last page. A must-read finish to a truly moving series!💙💜
In the final book of Passionate Beats Bennett knows and feels that every time he tells someone he loved them they LEAVE except Jenna left for a different reason !! And the lengths Bennetts goes to to get his wife back will make you cry and scream all at the same time.
WOW Arell you did it again this installment was FANTASTIC !!
The Black Widow is back they claim BUT we all know that Jenna is NOT what they are portraying her out to be and Bennett will not stop in finding a way to end this so Jenna doesn’t loose her therapy business because she is loosing so much more right now !!
You will CRY ugly tears and BEAUTIFUL tears all in one chapter !! Way to go Arell !! Loved it !!
WOW - this one really put me through the emotional ringers. Jenna and Bennett truly worked through an entire gamut of circumstances AND emotions but to see how they both pulled through in the end and what it did for them? Arell captured it beautifully. This trilogy is totally worth the read and it will suck you in, like it did for me. This final "chapter", I finished in only one day and couldn't put it down until it was done. Can't wait to see what happens with Rio. Some fantastic stories to come from the rest of UC, no doubt. But can 007 hurry up and get over his snit with Jenna, please?
