What a wonderful sweet, small-town medical romance! To be honest, I am so picky about the books I read, but after I finished A Promise Kept, also by Ruby Ashford, I was sold and bought a copy of When Love Heals right away. And let me tell you, this novel did not disappoint.
Ruby's books are lighthearted, feel-good love stories set in a Canadian small town called Ennington. Just reading this story wants me to move there (but probably not for the winter...lol).
I loved how the main characters met—and there's a lot of fun to be had with opposites attract stories. And the best part was the touching scene when Western medicine met Eastern medicine.
And yes, there are secrets. I had soooo many questions as I read this wonderful story. Several times I got worried how in the world the main characters could get to a happy ending, so I kept turning the pages... I had to know!
If you're like me and enjoy clean & wholesome small-town romances with a medical theme, then this book is for you.
