My favorite quote from the book is: “It’s important not to place a period where God has placed a comma.”

So many times, when we ask for something and it doesn’t happen right away, our first thought is that God doesn’t want this for me. I heard this week that we should not give up: Moses walked the desert for 40 years and in the 41st year they entered the promised land. Noah dealt with rain and flooding for 40 days and on the 41st day, the rain stopped. Jesus went into the desert for 40 days, was tempted by the devil and on the 41st day, walked out defeating temptation.

We have to trust and give God time to fulfill his promises. We have to give permission to the Divine Author to continue writing the story of his love in our lives.

This book was thoughtfully written and in each section gives how Jesus lived each Beatitude and how his Blessed Mother reflected each. Blessed Mother ALWAYS points back to Jesus - “Do whatever he tells you.”

We are all called to become saints. Jesus’ motivation is PURE LOVE through his Passion, Death, and Resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins. We are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. We are called to love as he has loved us.

Page 25: “Abiding in him and remaining in trust keeps us in the authentic blessedness of Christ.”

The Accuser (Satan) tries to define us by our sin and will bombard us with shame and attempt to sow despair saying that we are hopeless. WE ARE NOT! Sin is a consequence of our actions and we are not defined by them. If we repent and avoid those actions, we can become stronger and minister to others.

Page 39: “The HOPE we have is not in our strength, but in the Father’s goodness and the Father’s never-ending mercy.”

There are so many great quotes throughout the entire book! But remember - “not to place a period where God has placed a comma.”
