Vincent Zandri is a past-master of the entertainingly macabre thriller, and his excellent new release The Bones is no exception.
The series' eponymous MC, Rebecca Underhill has had a tragic early life and she's currently battling terminal cancer, supported by her adult son Mike, grandson Jesse and new love Steve Ersing, a State Trooper.
When a young girl goes missing, Rebecca's own past terrors drive her to help in any way she can.

Disturbing series finale. The Bones, the third and final book in the Rebecca Underhill series left me wishing I could say I just absolutely loved this book. I really wish I could say that, but I can't. I did enjoy it a lot, and I was highly entertained. It is a very good book. The underlying topic of this story is rough going. The topic is alluded to in current various news reports about a specific individual and a group of people. How true or not true it is related to real life, I don't know. Very little gets me squeamish, but in this case this one did. Now, did I enjoy it? Yeah, not as much as the first two, simply because of that underlying topic. You can read it and find out for yourself what I'm talking about. This is a psychological thriller series with a damaged female protagonist that deals with some horrific crimes and terrible criminals and some characters that are just easy to fall in love with. You’ll get to know Rebecca throughout all three periods of her life that are covered in these three books and most likely enjoy each of the separate books and the series.
