About the author

Jack Flynn

Jack Flynn co-writes dark billionaire military romance with Lainey Ray.

Jack is a former military man with a sharp mind, a devilish smirk, and a habit of taking control—in fiction and otherwise. He likes his books like he likes his combat strategies: fast-paced, explosive, and leaving no survivors. When he’s not crafting tactical missions and deadly antiheroes, you can find him reading action thrillers, watching war movies, or engaging in other kinds of action we won’t discuss here.

Jack brings the precision, the danger, and the raw intensity to every Jack & Lainey book. He knows exactly how to build a hero who commands a room, claims a woman, and takes down anyone who dares to stand in his way.

Rumor has it, Jack never loses control … unless Lainey’s involved.

Elias Dane is the man behind the scenes, buried in his code, spiders and research. Just the way he likes it. Hexs his own best company. Vivienne Laveau is disciplined when it comes to her career as a dancer but the rest of her life is out of control, lived on the knife's edge of danger. Ah brief meet8ng has her setting her sites on Elias. She wants to grab his attention and boy howdy does she do it in spectacular fashion. In doing so, she unleashes his inner demon. These two will light up your pages with their incendiary encounters. A stunt gone too far finally has Elias realizing what Vivi really need and also reveals that an old enemy is manipulating circumstances to get to Dominion. He wastes no time, calls out the big guns and sets about to search, destroy and decimate. He gives Vivi what she needs materially but also blankets her with love and a safe place to fall.

Book six takes a different path than the earlier Dominion Hall installments. The Hacker starts more slowly, and the central relationship is rougher around the edges. The MFC’s arrogance and impulsiveness make her a standout — not always likable, but undeniably compelling — while the MMC’s protective, borderline possessive nature creates friction that feels intentional and layered. Add Department 77 to the mix, and you can guess what happens.

Their early struggle is the heart of the book: two people who don’t quite fit, trying to figure out if they can. Once the plot threads begin to converge, the story tightens, the emotional beats land, and the romance finally settles into something that works.

It’s not the most immediately gripping entry in the series, but it offers a unique twist on the Dominion Hall formula and ultimately delivers a satisfying payoff.

Elias

I loved this brother …… everything a “hero” is supposed to be in a romance novel; handsome, strong, smart, brutally decisive, wealthy, devoted, all the feels. This female drove me insane and it’s the sole reason for the three star rating. Vivienne is among a handful of female characters that nearly caused me to put down a book. And then she gets a personality transplant about halfway through the book (because the author boxed themselves into a corner). But it was too late for me. Reckless, shallow, selfish, attention-seeking and it went unchecked too deep in the book for me to have an ounce of sympathy for her. I really like this series and hope this is the only one I struggled to finish.

Chaos and Code and a Touch of Hotness 🔥

Vivienne Laveau is a force of nature, and Elias Dane is the calm in her storm. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their passion is hot and sexy. I loved watching Elias, the ice-cold hacker, get drawn into Vivi's chaotic world and learn to ride the wave of danger with her. While it took a little time to get fully invested, the story eventually grabbed me and didn't let go. A great addition to the Dominion Hall series! Rating: 4.5/5 stars 🤓

Vivi Is Fire indeed…….

Holy Moses….. Vivi and her thrills. I absolutely fell in love with Vivi. Her stubborness- that lead to her thrill seeking- living life on the edge- she takes is on like it’s a mission in her life. I love how she wouldn’t back down to Elias- and she gave him a run for his money. She definitely is one that I’ll remember. Her past made her that way but Elias shows her that she don’t have to be extreme, risking her life like she does to feel free.
Elias and his broodiness- shoooooooweeeee I loved his character and who was with Vivi.

This one was hard

I have to admit , this one was so intense I had to skim over some parts. I thought my heart would pound out of my chest. This story was crazy! Vivienne is a train wreck! Her "wild" was absolutely too intense for my nervous system. Lol The snake! My God! In the end, I loved the story but Im not sorry I skimmed past some of her insanity. A girl can only take so much. Lol I think I need a minute to recover before I can start the next one. Wow

This book has a lot of darkness which I don't really like, but I still gave it 5 stars because the writing is so good, the characters so interesting, and the depth of the characters - both the bad and the good - is so well written. It really is a captivating book, as are all the books in this series. Very entertaining!

Didn’t enjoy it as well as the others.

The tempo, the flavor, the whole gist was off. It felt force. I did not finish it. This story just didn’t work for me. She was over the top and so was he. A little too unbelievable. It’s OK if the characters stretch my imagination, but these just didn’t catch mine.

Awesome

Man these brothers are just amazing, and the ladies they choose are amazing. The stories are great, not too much about Department 77 in this one but they did tie them in at the end. Can’t wait until the boys have their revenge!

Great series

Each book, every character is different and exciting. I love all the different stories. The sex isn't bad either , and I am 78 year old female and just wow. I always wanted a hunky billionaire in my life.
I highly recommend this entertaining series.

Vivi & Elias have instant chemistry right from the first meeting. I love how sassy Vivi is, but she is batshit crazy!! The damn snake (shivers). Holy hell the spice, off the charts.

Honestly there is just something about a nerdy hacker MMC that’ll just always do it for me and I couldn’t even tell you why. This one was fun, kept me entertained. But also I leave with more question after every book about the couples and things left unsaid.

A walk on the wild side

This is gotta be the best book in the series. I absolutely adored the characters. The story was riveting. The pace was amazing and life goes on. This book renewed my interest and my faith that this is a great series and I’m so enjoying it.

This one was a bit of a disappointment after the first four. Still good but lacking plot and purpose.
