Loved how badass the fmc was. Was suspenseful and a bit dark without the relationship having much darker themes. intruiging start to a series and liked the dynamic of the couple. not quite 4 stars for me but I recommend it anyway.

Sweet Chais is exactly that—full of chaos! 🤣 Heaps of action spills into drama between the two leading characters in this dark romance. Dex is your ex-marine turned assassin who is out for revenge. Kira is a part of the Russian Bratva family who might have been a princess at one time but certainly isn’t one now.
I liked both main characters and could feel their desperate need to get what they wanted out of the Bratva. They wanted different things yet were similar. One thing they couldn’t resist was their combustible physical chemistry.
Kira is close to her family, as is Dex. My heart went out to Kira because she had lost so much and was kept on such a thin line by the Bratva.
There are plenty of lies and some secrets providing twists and turns in the story to keep it interesting. I did feel at times the story lagged a bit but then it would pick up again and boy did it become intense, I couldn’t scroll through the next pages quickly enough.

I really enjoyed this book!! Amazing dark mafia romance and it has action, betrayal and lots of spice. Kira is born into a Russian mafia family she is used as a pawn within her family but she's also a victim of it and a survivor too. When her sister is taken she's determined to free not only herself but also her sister, niece and grandmother too. She'll stop at nothing and if that means getting close to a hitman she's supposed to double cross then so be it.....what she didn't see coming was to fall for said hitman lol. Bodhi Decker aka Dex is dangerous but he's also extremely good looking and addictive, they can't stay away from each other.
Their journey is fast paced and doesn't let you go. Can Kira ever tell Dex her true motives? Will they both free themselves from the burdens that they both carry? This was such an exciting read and I'll definitely be reading more from this author.

Dex is an ex-marine, turned assassin, who is fueled by revenge, while Kira is part of a Russian bratva family, and she is tasked with seducing Dex, but he ups the ante, and unexpectedly changes the rules, forcing her to be one step ahead.
This is a well written action-packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, angst, chaos, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, survival, enemies / lovers, secrets, lies, touch her and die vibes, humor, witty banter, revenge, challenges, combustible chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and captivating page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

I couldn't get through this writing. The characters had no depth and their actions made no sense with the personalities that were shown to us. The romance was incredibly insta-love which was irritating because the storyline completely dropped off as soon as the smut started. It had potential but unfortunately it fell through for me.

Amazing dark mafia romance filled with action, betrayal, murder and so much more! Born into a Russian mafia family Kira is a pawn, a victim and a survivor. Determined to free herself, sister, niece and grandmother from ALL she’ll stop at nothing and face death to achieve her goal. Falling in love was not part of her plan, especially with a hitman sent to retrieve her. Bodhi Decker aka Dex is potentially dangerous and extremely addictive, they can’t stay away from each other. Their journey together is painful and carries guilt, deceit and betrayal that will come into light but will also deliver them from the burdens they both carry and led them to the freedom they both seek. A very powerful reading and highly recommended. This author is awesome and fast becoming one of my favourites!

My Thoughts: Kira is a strong, fierce, and protective female character. Wanting to find a way to protect her sister, she is forced to bring the untouchable man, Dex, to the Bratva. Dex, under an alias, is in the middle of a mission when a strange woman's voice changes everything. These two quickly become entangled in a war of chaos. I loved this book! Dex, aka Bodhi and Kira's banter, was so good. She wasn't afraid to stand up to the dangerous men in her life. She loathes Dex, but over time, his charm finally breaks through her guard. Dex might be dangerous, but he has such a teddy bear interior for Kira, aka his kitten/wildcat. This book has enemies to lovers, he falls first, strong fmc, he unalives people for a living, mafia romance, banter, and spice. I can't wait for more of this series.

This book may seem like just another mafia type romance book but it isn’t. It’s all about saving the FMC’s sister and the sacrifices she is willing to make to get her safe. It’s an impossible task but she will do anything to save her. Even die. Luckily there is another option… a very attractive hot man who has it out for the same man who hold her sister captive. They have to work together without getting distracted or failing their mission. Can they do it?
There is spice and he definitely is the type to fall first and be a little obsessed with her. 🤷🏻♀️

I downloaded this book to my Kindle after choosing it as a review title on NetGalley.
This was a really good and easy-to-read book! I'm definitely a fan of Dex – I loved his character. I had a bit more trouble connecting with Kira, mostly because of all the secrets she was keeping. Still, the chemistry between them was undeniable and really came through on the page. I'm definitely curious to see how the story continues in the next book!

Mafia romances are right up my alley and for the most part, I enjoyed this one. However, I thought that the story started off slow and I thought that there was a lot of information that wasn't provided to the reader that made it hard to connect with the characters. For example, why was Kira's grandfather betrayed in the first place--was it because Nikolai didn't want her to take over the Bratva or simply because Kira entangled herself to try to stop their human trafficking operation? Why was Yelena basically helpless when Kira found her--didn't even say anything to her, was literally like a statue? How did Kira learn her fighting skills? I just felt like the characters lacked a little more of the depth necessary to be able to fully connect to them and be invested in the reasoning behind their actions and the ultimate outcome.
I enjoyed Bodhi and Kira's love story, and while I also felt like it lacked a little depth, the last half of the book really helps the reader see why they connect so much with each other. The chemistry between them was very tangible, which I liked--FYI, this is an open-door romance. I really just wanted to see both of them, and their love, developed a little more. Overall, I thought that this was a fun read and would recommend for a summer read while sitting at a pool or heading out on a road trip.

Sweet Chaos is absolutely suspenseful and a page turning mafia romance. The story is captivating from beginning to end, enter and an enjoyable read. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading this book. Sweet Chaos is amazingly written, exceptionally balanced with action/romance and beautifully executed by Kimberly Quinn. This is my first book I’ve read by her thus far and was blown away by the storyline. This novel has a fantastic plot, wonderful characters and a breathtaking ending for the main characters. Sweet Chaos follows the story of Dex and Kira. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. The chemistry between these two characters is absolutely amazing and undeniably irresistible. I LOVED getting to know both Dex and d Kira as well as seeing their feelings for each other grow stronger as their story progresses forward. I absolutely love that they have a happy ending to their story with them being happy together as a couple. The characters are entertaining, interesting and intriguing all at the same time. I would gladly give this book as a suggestion to anyone who is looking forward a new mafia romance to read. I’m most definitely going to be checking out more of this author’s work in the future.

Thank you to NetGallery for providing me with a copy of this book to review. I gave this book a 3.75 star rating. The FMC, Kira is a strong and fierce and protecting main character which I loved. She is the kind of character you route for and get the revenge that she clearly deserves. She is protective to ensure her sisters safety bully bringing Dex, to the Bratva. There is more to him that meets the eye and once these two come into contact with each other chaos ensues.
Dex, or also known as Bohdi, is a good MMC, he is this sexy and dangerous man, like you usually find in a mafia romance. Both Kira and Bodhi do have a good banter between them and I liked how the author slowly built their relationship, it isn’t a love at first sight situation which I am not a big fan of. I also liked how Kira stands up for herself especially against Bodhi and does not take his crap! The more you delve into Bodhi’s character you find he is actually a giant marshmallow for the ones he loves. They almost give me black cat and golden retriever vibes in their relationship.
If your into mafia romance, enemies to lovers, he falls first tropes then you will love this book.
There is also spice in this book and I will say did not disappoint, not a lot like other mafia romances but still a good amount.
Would defo recommend anyway to read it, worth the read!

The good: I appreciated Kira's dedication to avenging her family. Despite everything and everyone standing in her way, she was determined to do whatever it took to save her family members. I also enjoyed Dex's personality. I love a good pompous playboy that makes me giggle and kick my feet.
The bad: I didn't really like the writing style and there were moments where the characters' actions didn’t feel consistent for their personalities. The attraction between Kira and Dex also felt way too fast for the situation they were in. I usually love insta-lust, but their sudden captivation for each other distracted me while reading the story. I also noticed a lot of repetitive sentence structures (lots of three-part clauses) and some odd word choices that made the flow feel clunky to me.
Even though I wasn't a big fan of the book, I think readers who vibe with insta-lust mafia romance with lots of action might like "Sweet Chaos."

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Dex is mesmerized by the woman dressed in a cat suit trying to extract information from his latest mark and when she pulls a disappearing act he is determined to find her.
This dark romance is action-packed from start to finish. It is full of danger, suspense, and unexpected twists of treachery. Kira and Dex have an explosive chemistry despite their mistrust of each other. Kimberly Quinn will definitely surprise you with the resolution of this story with a doozy of a twist in the storyline. Highly recommend and can't wait to read her next book.

This was a action packed read! The writing is great and the plot had my attention as the two connected. They were both likeable characters and right away you understood why they were why they were. Both had to fight for their family. What was left of it. I loved how they bantered back and forth!
The need for revenge and saving family was something driving them. They were attracted to one another right away and both couldn't stay away.
What a dance they did! What a smoking connection among all the danger that they experienced. The danger was scary, the men were terrifying to females and it's such a terrible situation they're families are in. They are so hot together and I love their connection, but I do wish there were no past loves and a current hook-up. Because seriously, the h and him were SO good together. This was an exciting read and a steamy one!

ARC Reading - I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So we have Russian mafia, enemies to lovers.. what more could you want? This book absolutely delivers on the drama and the tension. Dex and Kira’s chemistry was just chef's kiss, every scene with them practically crackled with intensity. The twist at the end? Totally didn’t see that coming, and it had me flipping back through pages to make sure I hadn’t missed any clues. I love it when a book keeps me guessing like that!
Also, can we talk about Dex’s sister, Sunshine? She’s just the cutest! Every time she appeared, she added such a heartwarming touch to the otherwise dark, dangerous world. I honestly wouldn’t mind an entire novella just about her.
All in all, Sweet Chaos was a thrilling read with great characters and a few jaw-dropping surprises.
So we have Russian mafia, enemies to lovers.. what more could you want? This book absolutely delivers on the drama and the tension. Dex and Kira’s chemistry was just chef's kiss, every scene with them practically crackled with intensity. The twist at the end? Totally didn’t see that coming, and it had me flipping back through pages to make sure I hadn’t missed any clues. I love it when a book keeps me guessing like that!
Also, can we talk about Dex’s sister, Sunshine? She’s just the cutest! Every time she appeared, she added such a heartwarming touch to the otherwise dark, dangerous world. I honestly wouldn’t mind an entire novella just about her.
All in all, Sweet Chaos was a thrilling read with great characters and a few jaw-dropping surprises.

This was the first dark mafia romance that I have read and I absolutely loved it! Kira works for the mafia and Dex is a hitman, they are destined to be enemies yet there is an undeniable spark between them. I thought the characters back stories were so well developed and the story definitely makes you feel something for the characters especially towards the end when they struggle internally.
I really enjoyed the twists and surprises throughout the story as we slowly learn more and more about the two main characters. Both main characters have such a dominating personality, so it was fun watching them slowly break down their walls for each other and become more vulnerable which is something neither of them have been able to do due to their lifestyles. While I love dark romance, I really struggled getting into this book. The characters felt distant and the story didn’t seem cohesive. There were a lot of names in the beginning that I needed to keep track of, which was confusing. Throughout the story, it keeps alluding to a secret Kira has, but did not fully go more into this until almost the ending. The pace wasn’t quite what I was expecting either. I didn’t seem to follow the progression of Dex and Kira and couldn’t understand how they quite fell for each other.
I did enjoy some of the writing style of the author. There were moments here and there where I felt it was detailed and flowed. Overall though, I felt the story lacked cohesiveness.

I had high hopes for this book but it wasn’t for me. I liked the storyline but the pacing was off. I feel like the flow of the story was not great either. I liked Kira and Dex but I also hated that it was insta love and she could do nothing wrong in his eyes even though she was lying to him. I feel like this story could have been great with a little more direction. Overall, this wasn’t my cup of tea but there is definitely an audience out there for this book!

Kira and Dex may be working on opposite sides but the attraction between them is undeniable... leading to the chaos promised in the title. There is action, interesting characters, spice, drama, and of course a couple of unexpected turns in the plot.
The pacing is pretty fast for the most part, keeping you on your toes and turning pages. But there are definitely some spots in the middle where pacing slows down and it feels like they should be in more of a hurry.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters but their backstories were pretty limited throughout, especially Kira's, to make sure the ending packed a punch (but it was very effective when it was delivered). So it did make it somewhat hard to really connect with them. I would have like to have had more of a reason to care about Kira, Yelena, and Finn other than just the "sibling" aspect.
Overall very much enjoyed the read and will be looking forward to the next one!.

Oh such a brilliant book. Drama, danger and intensity.
Kira is sent to seduce hitman Dex and bring him to the Bratva or she will lose everything.
Firstly the dynamic between Dex and Kira is explosive. She wants to do her job as so much is at stake but everything in her is so ruined into Dex. That connection can't be resisted.
The action in this book is so well done. Compelling me to read on and faster to keep up with what's going on. I loved that part of it. Not just the characters but the action had me hooked.
Amazingly well written I can't wait for more from this author. She never fails to fascinate me. Highly recommended!!.

I’m a big fan of dark mafia romances and this one didn’t disappoint for me. I loved the story starting off with Kira’s backstory right away and then slowing down a bit while we meet Dex. To me the pacing felt right because it let their relationship build as they transition from enemies to lovers.
I enjoyed the overall storyline of this book. There are some twists and turns as the characters are keeping secrets from one another. But ultimately they do get their HEA.
Overall, I think this is a good start to a new series of books and I’m looking forward to the next book. I recommend checking this book out if you’re in need of a mafia romance!

This book delivers a dark, magnetic ride from start to finish. The tension is immediate, the chemistry crackles, and the stakes feel dangerously high at every turn. The dynamic between the main characters is intense and addictive—layered with power plays, psychological warfare, and surprising moments of vulnerability. The author does an excellent job of keeping you guessing who’s really in control, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, everything shifts. Gritty, seductive, and emotionally charged, this is the kind of story that sticks with you long after the last page. I can’t wait to see how readers react when this one hits shelves!.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Sweet Chaos, and it was nice to have a female character that was just as unhinged, dangerous, and sultry as the male main character! Sometimes, in dark romance especially, the MMC dominates that field, but Kira and Dex were pretty equal throughout the story.
It had a few twists and turns, and definitely made me want to read the next book (releasing November, 2025) in hopes we get some more background on Kira and how she ended up in the situation they got themselves out of in this book.
I would love to know more about Yelena and her background & what got her into the situation with Nikolai.
Overall, I enjoyed reading it & will be picking up the second book!
