With new companions picked up in the Holy Kingdom, Sora and his party continue on to the Magic Nation of Eva, where they hope to meet up with Chris and Rurika. The city of Majorica is host to both the Magius Academy of Magic and a dungeon—a mysterious labyrinth of unknown depth from which monsters and treasures spawn. The team spends a lot of time getting to know their new city—touring the academy, learning the plight of local orphans Elza and Art, and trying out dives into the dungeon—but a mysterious girl in a library hints at an imminent threat hanging over the town. Will Sora and his friends have to rise to the occasion again?
Much like the previous two volumes, an entertaining isekai with likeable characters and a relatively overpowered MC who at least has to struggle somewhat to overcome various challenges. It comes with some of the more problematic tropes of the genre, most notably slave companions and a distinct lack of male friends, but not to the extent that it ruins my enjoyment of the story. So, as expected, a nice cosy popcorn read.
I can’t tell you how much I love this series! Dealing with cancer a great story that doesn’t over do things just to create tension really helps you escape from everyday life and find joy in reading. Thank you for writing such amazing stories.
